The way Natsuki Hanae (also the seiyuu of Tanjirou from Kimetsu no Yaiba) voicing him just spotted on and makes things twice more awesome! Hm id recommend reading the novel he really isnt an edgy mc at all. He just wants to be a merchant and only kills people that want to kill him. I really like this MC hes super human like. Not too much on the edgy side not too much on the push over side. He for example got depressed after a more experienced merchant beat his business. He doesn't really enjoy killing or fighting. He just becomes a medicine merchant.and he doesn't ever want to stay in this world. He constantly wants to return to his own world and considers the values of this world to be trash
Not that he just killed someone but that he lost those important to him. In the manga you see how his child self was emotionally detached from everyone but family. Remember in earlier episodes he killed the blue trolls and didn't think anything of it and had Mio eat the assassins and was completely fine with it, MC is that kind of person.

I feel like this was some kind of foreshadowing of his future. I understand he was furious at her and himself but he seemed to almost go demonic for a bit. The end when her voice started changing and he hated the sound more and more almost made it feel like he saw humanity as a whole was his enemy. If you see the whole scene, you can hear how he slowly considers her less then human, just a rabid thing to put down as her voice goes from human to 'disgusting evil creature'.
That is not what happen. During that whole interaction she has no idea what he is saying because he is speaking demi-human, she is speaking common. She is going off his facial expression. The anime has been really bad showcasing the language barrier from when he speaks with other people. In the end when her voice gets all broken, that is because she is trying to speak in demi-human to beg for mercy however she doesn't know how to speak demi-human so its all broken.

A necessary evil that a leader/ruler of such a young age like our MC here is forced to hand out upon those that wronged him and his people for a heinous crime, the crime of murder in this case. But does that make our boy here evil? Chick performed evil actions that led to the death of innocence and she had a fucked up evil mindset in regards to main characters friends and allies… So she was due the consequence of her actions. @@TheMaxCloud Well I understand the meta-reason that you don't want characters being killed off because then you can't profit off of them. Also pretty much everything heroes do to even catch villains is against the law, it's called vigilantism, but that doesn't stop them. Also I'm not sure if you have read comics recently but there is a ton of stuff in even normal marvel and DC comics since maybe the 90s that you most certainly wouldn't want kids to see like rape and total evisceration. They certainly aren't for kids anymore.

I just watched it and had a chill vibe
I feel like this was some kind of foreshadowing of his future. I understand he was furious at her and himself but he seemed to almost go demonic for a bit. The end when her voice started changing and he hated the sound more and more almost made it feel like he saw humanity as a whole was his enemy. We know his power is now at the level of gods and he's basically making his own reality filled with demi humans so who knows by the end he could become the god of demi humans and if that dark moment was any indication. Also the enemy of man kind.

If you see the whole scene, you can hear how he slowly considers her less then human, just a rabid thing to put down as her voice goes from human to 'disgusting evil creature'.
That is not what happen. During that whole interaction she has no idea what he is saying because he is speaking demi-human, she is speaking common. She is going off his facial expression. The anime has been really bad showcasing the language barrier from when he speaks with other people. In the end when her voice gets all broken, that is because she is trying to speak in demi-human to beg for mercy however she doesn't know how to speak demi-human so its all broken.

In the novel later on he is considered a racist against hyumans by hibiki
@@mattpet7913 Negative. I will agree that he starts to view hyumans as less than later in the novel because of how the story progresses and hibiki with her complete vengence bias, but at this point in the story her voice is cracking because she is trying to talk demi human to beg for her life.
Its her attempt to speak in demi-human language is why her voice sounds like that.

A necessary evil that a leader/ruler of such a young age like our MC here is forced to hand out upon those that wronged him and his people for a heinous crime, the crime of murder in this case. But does that make our boy here evil? Only if he enjoyed it, which he didn't in the slightest despite the look on his face, and someone has got to be held accountable for their actions and the lady here did with her life.
I it was the appearance and walk in of justified consequence. Chick performed evil actions that led to the death of innocence and she had a fucked up evil mindset in regards to main characters friends and allies… So she was due the consequence of her actions. Justified revenge but a bare minimum that was the justified consequence for her evil.
