It's hot segment all around the world Toyota Camry , Nissan Altima , accord , Passat , Mazda 6, sonata . But in India its worst segment due to tax.
guys trust its an awesome car.. i am a proud owner of this model for the last 8 months.. gear box is awesome and its fun to drive... its not comparable to sonata... but 30 lakh that i cant adjust with... otherwise superb....

30 lakhs? A very disappointing price tag for a car with a laggy automatic gearbox.
Why wouldn't i get an A3 instead.
The a3's backseat is very bad. If you aren't ever going to sit in the backseat get that car. The backseats are not even comparable.
you won't get a3 less than 45 lacs on road in India ! and you need really fat wallet to pay the maintenance bills.. i am talking in tens of thousands of rupees ..
Audi A3 can definitely run rings around this outdated Honda! Surely my dad owning an Audi and mostly German cars throughout his life would tell you that parts ain't cheap, but Honda with 2.4 is just gutless, slow and expensive to run. The A3 has 2.0TDI which has more torque than a Honda and in the real world, you'll feel the Audi being faster, cheaper on fuel because of diesel power & it has a really nice cabin. Or 1.8TSI which would also be a faster car backed up with great VW group DSG transmission. But either way, you gotta pay top dollar to get the Germans. You want back seat comfort, get the Superb! Honda, Toyota & all the Japanese cars are just outdated, boring, grand parents/pensioners or simply poor people's luxury car! Enough said!
Roshan Panchal I was gonna get the A3 for myself but I didn't get it because of the poor backseat. I feel it wasn't even decent. My dad has the E200 after owning an Accord for 6 years, I guess he realised he wasn't poor in the first place. And me? Instead of investing in another German car, I went and got me an Elantra. I have't driven it enough but it seems alright for over taking everyone on Delhi roads. Another feature of German cars I notice while driving dad's car is that walkers (bheekari's) absolutely dig it. I'll pass..for now.
bannajirocks A3 is actually just 25-30 lacs. I thinking you're thinking about A3 cabriolet.
from the side it lookks very similar to the old 3 series...

The problem with no harm honda looks is that it does not look that exotic it just feels like a car not something special i prefer older version looks it's a bit more flamboyant

I agree with you.. model between 2004 and 2007 looks more aggressive than latest gen. And also dual screen on new accord is useless feature. You will get confused which screen to use while you are navigating through menu.
Totally agree. My 8th gen looks way upscaled.
To expect from executive sedan performance of a sports car is unfair...!
I would rather buy New Sonata @ 25 Lacs. Friend using it, Its way better.
too plain and negligible changes even after getting upgraded after like 10 years

+Anjali Singh Hyundais are wanna be Japanese but they catching up with Japanese cars.

They both are on the levels try competing the bulky accord with the Hyundai sonata
Accord and elantra are not competitors.... Both are of difference price ranges accord being on the higher side...though i myself hate hyundia products and when u compare elantra with HONDA CIVIC u will know y i said it.... Honda and toyota have the technology which hyundia adopts aftr 7-8 years

That's the price range of Camry hybrid or a Superb with 7 lacs to spare.
I think the superb or the upcoming passat would be better. This accord really looks a bit bland.
There is a new version with little more stylish grill available in UAE
Camry hybrid seems better option and it is even less expensive

I would recommend Accord over Altis but you might as well have a peak at Camry.
