    Such a great trail...lovely dappled light coming through the leaves. Fantastic to see work being done to improve on the trails...something Otis and I truly appreciate from the many volunteers here in Nova Scotia. A very enjoyable explore. Bruce and Otis

      Glad you enjoyed it, and I couldn't agree more on the trail work. I've done some work with various trail crews in the area and it is always a great feeling to be able to give back to the community that has given me so much. Hope all is well with you two, looking forward to more trotting Otis shots!

    The last 3 videos I've watched of the Catskills every single person mentioned the incredible smells once above around 3,500. It's so true. That smell is unmatched. There is really something about it. I camped up there last night on a rainy Friday night. Hailed also around 4:30pm. Still was a beautiful night. I did no filming though. Just some time to unwind and breathe. I slept 9 hours, haha. That was a good sleep. There was a calm rolling thunder over night too. I slept like I was on a cloud, haha. I'm not letting this summer slip by. This looks like a nice hike. I need to stop repeating hikes and hit new stuff, this may be next. Good seeing you back. Enjoy the fresh air! Cheers!

      It is truly unique up there above 3,000', nothing like that feeling. I've been doing more of what you did, going on trips and leaving the cameras home. I love filming and editing these, but I also enjoy a good day of nothing but hiking. Sounds like you had a very relaxing time. It is a very nice hike, one I'd recommend so if you ever get the chance, go check it out. I also need to stop repeating hikes...I'm working on a video now from a trip I did last week. 3rd time Pharaoh Lake will be on this channel! Thank you for checking the video out and for the small chat, always appreciated!!

      @@capsoutdoors Get out there bro! Summer slips by fast. I'll be doing a bunch of trips this summer. Been up twice already, last week camping and a few weeks before that did the Burroughs Loop. That was insane. Was 4,500ft gain and 16 miles. I was on trail 10 hours, hahaha. But damn that hike was awesome. Looking forward to more content. Cheers!

      @@jaytheurbanviking I plan on it! I just looked at the map for the Burroughs Loop, that looks like a lot of fun. I may have to check that out, wouldn't mind doing Slide again, that was a great mountain.

    I did the same hike last year and camped along the river before heading up Table and Moose. There's lots of great camping spots along the Neversink.
    Another nice video Joe. 👍🏻

      I saw so many nice sites on that first stretch up, I'm definitely looking to go back to stay at one of them. There is still a lot to check out back there! Thank you for checking the video out and glad you enjoyed it, always appreciated!

    I love that area. There is quite a bit of camping right around the junction of the Neversink. I finished the 35 on Lone, Rocky, Balsam cap, Friday. It’s a true bushwhack but stunning. If you follow the Neversink there is amazing camping in there. Great video!

      Congrats on your completion, that is awesome to hear you finished. The entire Slide Mtn Wilderness is just beautiful. I've heard about the bushwhacks, looking forward to them as I don't get to do too much of it. Such a great feeling being off-trail! Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to try and map as many of the campsites as I can. Thanks for stopping by and checking the video out, always appreciated!

      @@capsoutdoors How bad is the spring over by the lean to? I might do that trail soon I wonder if I should log water up there.

    • @capsoutdoors
      @capsoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DeepStateYuri The spring was flowing pretty good, I filtered 2 liters fairly quickly. I'm not sure if it flows consistently throughout the year though so lugging water up would probably be a good idea.
