    i like the KST bars too ... recently put on my second set and enjoy them. I like the pullback, and that they are polished stainless rather than plated. Have fun!

    I think that Olive-Gold color is the nicest color HD ever offered.

    My HD dealer said you could go as high as 12in without having to replace the cables. You made a good choice. I need the 12in bars as well for the pull back improvement. The stock bars are making me lean forward a bit.

      12 in KST bars take that lean forward right out! KST also states that 14in will fit without replacing cables? The 12in bars fit me perfectly!

    Nice bars. I had 12 inch bars on my road king. It seems to be a perfect height. It’s great to be able to get out in February, even if you have to spend a couple of hours washing the salt off. Cheers.

    Hi Ridingthethinlines! :-) I've just bought a new RKS. I took it for a good 150-mile trip the first week and yes, those stock handlebars were truly awful. No matter whether pushing them forward or backward - doesn't work. If I push them forward, can't really reach them. If I pull them towards me, they get too low and with a lock turn almost hits the fuel tank. Is there anybody out there who finds the stock handlebars right? Anyhow, I am 6ft 2in tall, as well. My sweep is about 25 degrees and has a pretty normal arms reach. I have the stock saddle. Do you think this KST Straight Jacket 12in bars would also be a good fit for me? Thanks!

      I really like the KST straight jackets! Keeps the lines of the Road King! I’m 6’2’ as well and the fit me very well. I could have done the 14in bars, but very pleased with the 12in bars! Thanks for watching! Ride safe, and ride a thin line road!

      Hi, I am experiencing the same problems you had with the stock bars. I'm 6'1" so we should be pretty close ergonomics wise. Still I'm undecided whether to go with 12" or 14", Spearheads or a more flat model (no drop down on the knurls), also don't want to sacrifice manoeuvrability vs looks as I like to ride on twists and turns rather than long straight cruising. As I live in Spain, no dealers have option to test drive different handlebars ... so I'm going to order on best guess. What did you end up getting, does it work? Thanks and sorry for the length 😅

      Hi, I ended up buying the 12" Pathfinder (I am 6'2"). Unfortunately - wrong decision! Still too far out for my liking, because of the inward curling design I cannot pull the handlebars close enough. In my case (for this design) it is probably the 14" that fits the bill....@@eddiemorales6009

    How wide are your handlebars? My 2024 are 37”. About 4” too wide for me.

      the best I can remember... the KST straight jackets are narrower than the stock bars on the RKS... I think 2 in. narrower. I don't think I ever measured them. KST's website claims the bars are 34in tip to tip... hope this helps!

    Hey man, nice video. Have you had the chance to test the Spearheads also from KST vs these ones? I'm 6´1" and if 12" go well for you at 6´2" I get the feeling that the Spearheads which have a drop on the knurls would be just fine.

      So maybe I’m old, but I’ve never been a fan of the spearhead bars… kinda like the look of the regular apes. But I get what you are saying with the drop down of the bars maybe being more comfortable for you. I wish I had went with 14in, not too tall, still has good handling! Hope you find what works for you! Can’t go wrong with the KST’s in my opinion!

    • @eddiemorales6009
      @eddiemorales6009 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for your reply. I guess that either way, Spearheads or more traditional apes, would be a much more comfortable ride vs stock. When asking KST they recommend I go for the 14" , however for that apart from the electrical extension need to acquire the clutch extension as well, and obviously the set up will be more complex. @@ridingthethinlines

      6.2 and after several thousand miles, I still think that the 12in bars was a good choice for the RKS!
