New Years Day Tradition.... High Temperature ride
New Years Day Tradition... High temperature ride. A dual vlog with Motoramblings as we ride as many miles as the predicted high temps for Weaverville, NC. It was a beautiful but blustery day with a high of 41*.

March Moto Madness 2024
มุมมอง 2679 หลายเดือนก่อน
I ventured over to Telico Plains, Tn on Friday for the March Moto Madness Mother Rally 2024. What a great event, first time for me, unfortunately I was unable to take advantage of all the great gravel/off road routes in the area(ankle is still jacked up) Got to meet lots of like minded individuals and reconnect with some old friend. Long Haul Paul was there, some pro MX riders, and a few GS qua...

Unicoi Loop... a day ride around Western NC, East Tn.
Greetings, As always another brilliant entertainment video 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Keep producing more motorcycle videos.
What a great idea for a ride . Subscribed
Thanks for subbing, watching your videos now!
@ awesome thanks.
Good ride y'all had! Patrick is retired, so he really needs the motivation to slough off his slippers and don his motorcycle gear :D LOL, I try to do the same ride-to-the-temp thing all winter long... I often succeed... not this year, although I too, got out for a ride on January 1st :D
I don’t need much motivation to go ride!!
@@Motoramblings Yeah, but when it's cold out? And the tea is warm, slippers are fuzzy? What THEN, Patrick? :D
@@RoadReality it depends. It’s currently 21, with a feels like of 9. I want to create a video, so yup, I’m going out!!😂😂
@@Motoramblings Then you're a better man than me, my friend!
@@RoadReality 😂😂
I like that, ride the miles of the temperature.
Sure would be nice to have to ride more miles!
Great to see that the weather didn’t hold you back. Happy 2025! Regards from Melbourne Australia :-)
Petros!!!
@ Patrick! :-)
Happy New Year to you as well!
My phone keeps closing the video at 4:02... - Frank
LoL! I went back to look for the problem... That was mean! I like it!!!🤣🤣🤣
@@ridingthethinlines I could not resist. Not that I tried of course. 😉 - Frank
Just wrong I tell you!!!
The Motoramblings guy loves his two wheeled Honda Civic. - Frank
He does like the Road Sofa... 😂
He does, almost as much as he likes his Vstrom!!
That was actually a ton of fun!! Cold, but fun!!
Thanks so much for joining us ☺️ We just now saw this !!! Please come back soon !!
@@blackdog3174 hopefully soon!
Sounds like 2025 is going to be……interesting. I really hope that retirement thing happens this year for you…..
Interesting… for sure!
It’s hard not to mention the devastation we experienced when riding, it’s everywhere
I love that road too!!
Riding the motorcycle!! I bet that felt great!!!
Great to see you're back on the bike 👍
i like the KST bars too ... recently put on my second set and enjoy them. I like the pullback, and that they are polished stainless rather than plated. Have fun!
Very nice!
So quiet out there!
Dang! Hit that rock!!
Long walk with a canoe on your head!!!
Looks like a beautiful day for a trip!
How wide are your handlebars? My 2024 are 37”. About 4” too wide for me.
the best I can remember... the KST straight jackets are narrower than the stock bars on the RKS... I think 2 in. narrower. I don't think I ever measured them. KST's website claims the bars are 34in tip to tip... hope this helps!
I tie a ratchet strap to my crash bar, anchor it to a good size tree and tip it over until the bike is at a good lean. Once that is established I "bounce" the bike. Pulls my bars back out with little effort. I've done this several times and works fine.
Nice relaxing ride and perfect for a day like that. Interesting places you visited thanks for showing. Good to see you using Android Auto. Cheers
TMI!!!!
I hate getting stung! I got a belly sting on the SM1000, sucked!!!
Oh yea, I remember that road!! I wanted to go back and ride it again!!!!😂😂😂😂
The Booker T Washington Monument looks great
Seeing you both on the phones, looking at mapping!😂😂😂😂
@@Motoramblings what can I say…
That D Day Memorial is an incredible place.
Boring roads??😂
@@Motoramblings 🤣🤣🤣 it was his idea
@@ridingthethinlines 😂😂
Very Nice!
Beautiful riding on the BRP 😎👍👍
Cherokee NC is around 2 hours from where I live, and we ride up a few times a year. 😎👍
Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍
Nice ride my friend beautiful scenery thanks for sharing that with us
yes! riding into the sun during the morning hours makes for lousy video! I need a filter for my Sena camera!
we're possibly heading down that way this month or next month. is it worth it even with all the construction? when I looked at the map, there was quite a few detours and single lane closures.
I think it’s worth it! Very much so, the detours give you a glimpse of the communities, and an opportunity to check out some of the small towns along the way!
Wonderful twisties! Been on the parkway once and wished I was on the bike!
It’s a great Thin Line Road indeed! I hope you get a chance to ride it!
Fresh asphalt is a pain to get off of any vehicle 😎👍
Not fun!
Where’s the ice cream?
That’s what I’m saying! Tell me where all the good ice cream shops are and never stop! That’s a terrible thing to do to a fat man!😂
@@ridingthethinlines that’s a terrible thing to do to anyone! That dude is cruel!!!😂🤣😂
Your traveling buddies sure do go to some cool places!! I just go to Georgia!😂😂
What’s wrong with Ga? The roads you got to ride down in Ga. are some great roads!
@@ridingthethinlines nothing at all wrong with Georgia! Loved every bit of it, but it just doesn’t have the same feel as saying I rode the Dolomites!😂🤣😂
@@Motoramblings 🤣🤣🤣
Very nice ride! Some fantastic roads, and sights!!
Very nice ride! Looking forward to seeing the new homestead soon!
Sir I have 21 rk speacial added kst 12 bars per your video n my age just right height. Love em may I suggest u upgrade your windsheild to freedom 22 inch tinted almost zero head buffering n quieter you will love it keep that cool air off u I'm in fla does same only rids heat.
The story behind that bridge is one that everyone needs to read. 😎👍👍
Beautiful!!
I can highly recommend the Aluma MC210 motorcycle trailer. I can carry up to three bikes, two with ease. The stowed/pull-out full-width ramp is effortless and the thing only weighs 600lbs. Everyone needs a solid motorcycle trailer, buy quality and buy once, cry once.
I’m looking at the MC10…? Smaller version of the MC210… with a smaller tow vehicle I’m trying to stay lightweight as possible! Yes indeed, buy once, cry once! Thanks for watching!
@@ridingthethinlines I started out thinking I was going to buy the MC10 as well but when I got a deal on the 210 for just a few shekels more I couldn't pass up the upgrade. The only drawback to the 210 is it's width when it comes to trying to fit it in a single width garage door. Nevertheless, I highly recommend the trailer, three years with it now and it has been amazing, one hell of a warranty and customer service as well.
I feel ya, i have the pan america but decided i did not want to have to pick it up so i got a husky 701.......way better for offroad lol
good lunch and conversation the other day!
