    Natasha reminds me of me when I first learnt to drive. Confidence low, always worried about others. And then somebody said, just be bold, you deserve to be on these roads, you paid good money for your test. This is your time so use it. Natasha's desire to be safe is leading to an overcautiousness that is resulting in unnecessary faults, she needs to have more confidence in her ability, as she can clearly drive to an adequate level.🙏🙏

      @@colinjava8447 Yes and no. When you're as cautious as this lassie then it's a bad thing, you can cause accidents being this cautious just as you'll cause accidents by being careless. You need to be aggressively cautious as a driver. Drive as though everyone else on the road is a complete idiot and capable of doing absolutely anything, so be prepared for anything, you need to be ready to get yourself out of any potentially dangerous situation, if that means putting the foot down, then you put the foot down, if it means hanging back, then hang back. This is where pre planning and awareness come in. Sometimes it can be obvious that something up ahead or behind is going to cause a problem, so decide on what you're going to do about it, and commit to it.

    • @KoeiNL
      @KoeiNL 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yep, the most important part when driving safely is being clear with your intentions on the road and being confident in know what the expected manoeuvre is. If you hesitate all the time people don't know what you are going to do and that will lead to dangerous situations. For example when merging on a highway in the Netherlands you should use your indicator when there is space and you are actually going to merge. Except, when its busy people tend to indicate even before there is space, just so everyone else knows what your intentions are. Its just much smoother that way, even though its technically not what you should do according to the rules. My daily commute is across one of the busiest bridges in Europe (225-250K vehicles a day) and 90%+ of drivers signal way in advance.

    She can drive. One thing I really noticed is how late she uses the clutch and brake at junctions. If she manages her speed early, it would give her more time to plan ahead. I've seen some people in these videos steering like this, with both of their hands locked around the 9 - 3 clock position and they turn the wheel little by little. It hardly ever looks efficient. It's always taking them extra time to turn and they have to go extra slow or they will end up having to stop/reverse. Just move your hands around the wheel it's much easier, much faster and you don't need to cut your speed to 3mph every time you need to turn.

    Natasha you’re doing okay. However, your gear use is not exactly right. When stopping, you should first brake a little bit before you press your clutch. Pressing the clutch first will not help you with reducing your speed which results in a very hard brake. You can see it happen a few times in this video as you and your instructor move a little towards the front as soon as you step your foot on the brake. It leads to you pressing the brake too hard. Have a bit more confidence and you will succeed in your exam! Good luck, you can do it!!

      She is definitely not almost there. I'd say at least another 30hrs on top of the 30hrs she's done already. Her planning and awareness needs a lot of work.

    Other than the undue hesitation she needs to do some steering exercises the way she’s slowly pushing and pulling her hands to steer is waking her get too close to cars 😩 not enough control. But otherwise not bad driving

    I'm only a beginner but wondering at the beginning wouldn't you say her feet are too far from the pedals, there's no hovering over the pedals in anticipation.
    Why is 27:07 undue hesitation btw?

      She approached the roundabout and stopped completely instead of slowly approaching it--she had the whole roundabout to herself at that point, but decided to stop and let the others go first.

    It sucks that she was so nervous about the whole thing because overall she is a great driver, just needs that confidence which she totally earns because of how good of a driver she is. I'd have no problem having her driver me places, but maybe just not anywhere I had an appointment or I would definitely be late.

      I was willing her to accelerate a little faster when she merged out to main roads. Traffic wasn't too bad but she'll want to get up to speed a little faster. Seemed like she was doing around 5mph onto a main road and didn't accelerate much.

    do you think 12 hours with lots of extra with parents is enough? love the vids

    • @fireburn95rs
      @fireburn95rs ปีที่แล้ว +11

      How can one judge that? It depends if your parents are teaching you the actual rules etc. And how much additional work you put in (watching videos like this)

    • @juliayang3879
      @juliayang3879 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It depends on quality of teaching and lessons, not just hours..I have seen many people who had many lessons with their driving instructors (at least more than 50 hours) but still not confident and also not enough to pass their test...

    • @jakobjas4212
      @jakobjas4212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Different for everyone. 12 hours is probably enough for an instructor to go over the procedural stuff, like the observations, routines etc, and the driving with parents will give you the road experience and help develop your decision making etc. Ask you instructor to do a mock test and you'll see if you're ready.
