    That is expensive but one of the coolest mods I've seen in a long time that's a once you've done everything else to your e-bike kind of toy

    I think this is pretty cool. I've just 0rdered my new vitus E-ESCARPE 290 VR Mountain Bike with full suspension, and it has the new EP600 Drive unit, so it accepts the new self shifting gears system so when I go off road I don't have to worry if I'm in the right gear or not the bike will do all the thinking for me.😅

    Nice system I have a couple of "e-bikes" that are just motor no chain but kept the three piece crank. I did this so I could disconnect left crank and hang it back parallel too the right so you have a swinging foot pegs as it were. this puts your feet close to the ground which I like and clearance is really no issue . The e-bike in question has duel wheel drive so I don't need to manually pedal it ever. the system is redundant all over. I have another with a deck at the bottom crank and no crank or pedals, it looks like a little motorcycle or scooter so I would never ride it on side walks in the city because folks would freak. But using an 24 inch BMX frame and doing the pedals parallel keeps the bicycle look to it and no one says Boo when I ride it any where. Best DIY electric motor bike systems are something for front wheel drive conversion kits. I prefer direct drives they are silent then use a frame that is a single speed this is because the single speed rear drop out is about the same as the front, 110mm give or take. strip the old wheel and chain keep the crank but with a single speed bike you generally get a single piece crank than is why I used the deck on the first build. then just install the front wheel conversion kit into the rear drop out add battery and have fun.

    Ive seen posts about these back in 2020. I wonder why theyre so bold about the patent

    • @kimhyunwoo8983
      @kimhyunwoo8983 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      probably because in the EBIKE world right now if something is expensive people won't buy it and instead look for immediate cheaper alternatives that are sometimes the same quality. but with a patent on the product and business that tries to make these things can get a cease and desist and sued on the spot. Having the bold patent helps deter the chinese manufacturers from watching videos about this product and immediately copying them.

    Good idea 👍 just way too expensive at $360.00 USD. Maybe they were over engineered, someone needs to make a cheaper version, like $300.00 cheaper. 🤨 p.s.: also make the peddlers fold for foldable bike when stored. 😉

  • @muramusan

    The pedal is legit a big bearing dang looks super strong and smooth. I want it but bet it's super expensive 360 plus tax shipping yikes 🫰.
    I want steel cranks as I usually pedal with all my weight over time it eats at the usual pedal threads on the aluminum.... Definitely not fun when it happens half way in a trip...
