Brittney has to be one of the best interviews on the planet, so casual and down to earth. I love how her interviews just flow naturally. There is also an awesome sincerity in everything she says, its not just because she's doing an interview and it's the right thing to say you know she means it. Charlotte Wessels is amazing too with her new song Soft Revolution, Clémentine Delauney from Visions of Atlantis is also amazing. Lets celebrate all the women of Metal. Ask Brittney and the band about being nominated for a Juno (Canadian Grammys)
Yay for Beth Roars! I'm Scottish - but not biased! Love Elizabeth too. Ooh, what if Beth and Elizabeth did a JOINT reaction video and interview of a female metal vocalist?! And then played D&D with them! I'd happily DM that one! 😆
Awesome interview! I like her perspective of eye contact and connecting with the audience. Brittney made eye contact a couple of times with me while she was performing at a show. It does make one feel recognized and appreciated It’s a great feeling.

I can't believe how hard I agree with this. I was ambivalent to them (aside from appreciating Brittney's inherently fabulous vocals) prior to Apex, but the combo of Apex and Abyss are frankly two of the best whole metal albums I've ever heard. The Wind That Shapes the Land in particular is one of the best songs I've ever heard, from any band, of any time period. It's spellbinding. These guys have grown into a force...

I only found your channel recently because of your Chris Cornell reactions as I'm a huge fan of grunge. Let me just say that I love your content and especially your personality. Please don't ever stop doing what you do. Please, please, Elizabeth, don't ever stop doing what you do. I love seeing your reactions to what is standard and absolutely normal for me. Growing up in the 90's and feeling like an outsider to society gave me a huge connection to grunge. Such a powerful era, and Mr Cornell (as well as Eddie Vedder) had a huge effect on the way I sing and the songs I play and write on my guitar. Keep up the great work and thank you for being you
"That sounds so interesting!" "...Maybe." Such an honest nerd's answer. Love it. Also UTA is super tight live. Fantastic band. Best existing Metal band in North America?
i didn't even know who this person is or the archers. i came back to my computer and it was playing this and her recollection of pursuing music in college. i was also enchanted by the music department of my university and changed majors (to music). anyway i kept listening to this thinking Brittney was perhaps a choir singer, or a part of some musical troupe. i had NO idea what they were referring to. anyway after watching the interview my curiosity got the best of me so i checked out UNLEASH THE ARCHERS videos. wow! what a cool band. they're great. apparently they're performing live in my neighborhood this fall. i will be there!
Floor is a very busy woman, but she's been quite active on YT, she even did an interview with Simone Simons on Women's Day and a live with Tarja Turunen in the end of last year, so I guess it's possible.
This was a delightful interview. Elizabeth does something right that a lot of interviewers get wrong these days; reasonably short questions! Podcasters and interviewers these days often ask questions that are so long winded that you barely remember the beginning by the time the question has been asked. That is not the case here at all. Instead we get a normal sounding conversational flow that I think we all really appreciate. Keep up the good work :)

I think i already see this more than 5 times. Brittney is a force of nature and seens to be such a good person, like, "say someone that you'd like to sit in a bar of a cafe and chat about something", i'm sure she would be one of the first to come in my mind.
Thank you for a great interview. I did not know she was working on a comic book. I can not wait to get it. I love this band and can not wait to see them live.
I have been a huge fan of music and rock and metal. for over 4 decades. Had to give up drumming in bands and did 26 years in the Army. Metal music has gotten me through so many tough times. Being deployed from family for years, conducted many missions in combat tours. Lost good friends. It was tough. But when I crawled in my fart sack at night, just grab my headphones, listened to some metal and It would help me with forgetting what I saw that day and what I did that today. It’s like with music it would take me away to the real world and for a few hours forget the world where you constantly had to see the death and hurt, effect of evil men . Being to clear you mind with music, really help push the bad out of your mind. I’ve been listening to rock and metal over 40 years. I own about 5,000 CDs. . Ijust want to tell you Britney, you are not just the best Female singer in the world, you are the best singer in metal. I’m talking you are better than Ian Gillian, Eric Adams, Geor Tate, Bruce Dickinson, etc. and your band is an incredibly talented group of musicians. My daughter is 9 and fan both of you(Brittany & Elizabeth) . She’s sings the words to a ton of your songs. When I find her a good vocalist coach , I’m going to get her started. I promised my Princess that when Unleash the Archers comes back to Colorado I will take her to see you. In the evening Emmalyn (daughter) right before she goes to bed, we watch your show Elizabeth. You very talented yourself and loved your reviews. and interviews.Having Britney on your show Elizabeth made this your all time best show. You should have more great vocalist on you show in the future. Britney, I’m huge history buff too (of course my daughter is to) currently reading a book about the only woman (she was British by the way) to have ever join the French Foriegn legion and fought in the North Africa Desert. She’s a hero to both British and French people. Can’t believe they haven’t made a movie about her. Best of luck to the both of you. Have a Merry Christmas. Ed Rossman First Sergeant (Retired) US Army
What Brittney says at 43:54 is something she beautifully did to me with a big smile on her face as she was belting out some godly notes. I'll never forget it. Thank you, Brittney 🧡
Oh.... Okay.... like I am Soooo down with This !!!! 2 of my absolute Fave Females having a convo that I can hear.... AWESOME !!! Can Not Wait !!! Thank You !!!!
Every time I hear a metal singer talk about something, I am just constantly reminded how awesome they are, the most friendliest, down-to-earth people in the music industry, as per my opinion :) EDIT: right after opera singers, I mean :D :P
First off, I was super excited when I saw that you were interviewing Brittney Slayes. I adore watching and listing to both of your videos and music, and your both even more adorable just chatting it up. But this interview blew my mind and kept me hooked throughout it. 2nd: Regarding the interview that Brittney mentioned of Bruce Dickenson, I think it was the one he did in one of my favourate movies: "Metal: A Headbangers Journey". In it, he tells Sam Dunn (another Canadian) that he loves making the crown feel more condensed, looking out into the audience, and pointing at some random person. And that person will be "Who, me?!" and it's another form of connecting to the audience. I just love that!
This is gonna be sooo awesome!! Ok the "Tonight we ride" reaction was so great and funny and exciting!! But wait, has Elizabeth even seen "Brindisi"?? OMG she would probably loose it!!...lol Can't wait for tomorrow🤘😆🤘
I was really excited for this interview, and it definitely didn't disappoint. In fact, I never would've guessed you two would start discussing a bunch of my favorite authors! Love it!
When you watch Brittney in interviews she could be the nice, pretty girl next door. But when she takes of her glasses she turns into the best female metal singer in the world, just like Clark Kent transforms to Superman. She seems to be such a kind person. What a fantastic girl !!! Love her so much !!! Elisabeth, thank you so much for bringing this band to me !!! I heard them first when you launched the "Cleanse The Bloodlines" video. Since then I am addichted to them. I grew up with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ronnie James Dio (R.I.P), Whitesnake, ...., but Unleash The Archers are my discovery of this century. OMG, they are so fantastic and Brittey`s vocals are phenomenal.
I had no idea I needed Unleash the Archers in my life, but it turns out that I do! As a Metalcore/Deathcore fan I didn't realize how much I missed the amazing sound of the guitar solos I miss from metallica, megadeth, iced earth, and dream theater to name a few.

Great, in-depth stuff. How wonderful to see the two of you chatting away. And Brittney seems as delightful a person as she is a terrific singer.
Keep up the great work and thank you for being you
Elizabeth interviewing Brittney, Beth interviewing Tatiana.... what a couple of days for awesome content on here!
Excited for this! Brittney is such a cool and down to earth person
She gives off such a cutsie girly impression and then she just blasts you away with one of the most ass kicking, powerful voices you’ve ever heard
"That sounds so interesting!" "...Maybe." Such an honest nerd's answer. Love it. Also UTA is super tight live. Fantastic band. Best existing Metal band in North America?
yes! saw them in San Diego a few years ago and they were amazing! They kick so much ass!
Thank you so much for introducing me to Unleash the Archers ❤
Hadn't heard them before watching your reactions. Lovely band!
You don't understand how much this makes me happy. My favorite vocal coach singing reactor channel interviewing my favorite modern metal vocalist.
i didn't even know who this person is or the archers. i came back to my computer and it was playing this and her recollection of pursuing music in college. i was also enchanted by the music department of my university and changed majors (to music). anyway i kept listening to this thinking Brittney was perhaps a choir singer, or a part of some musical troupe. i had NO idea what they were referring to. anyway after watching the interview my curiosity got the best of me so i checked out UNLEASH THE ARCHERS videos. wow! what a cool band. they're great. apparently they're performing live in my neighborhood this fall. i will be there!
She talks about wanting to sing with Hansi Kursh in this interview. She just accomplished that goal last weekend at the Ayreon koncert.
In the final part of The Sixth Extinction she sings her ad-lib right after Hansi. You can see her watching him with such admiration, it’s so cool
Brittney Slayes is such a charming person...almost hard to match her persona with her vocals...but no mistake...she is a vocal GIANT!
Next Challenge: Interview with Floor Jansen, The Valkyrie Metal Goddess.
she would probably do it too
Unfortunately they have not been able to reach her.
They've been trying, but no reaction yet.
Floor is a very busy woman, but she's been quite active on YT, she even did an interview with Simone Simons on Women's Day and a live with Tarja Turunen in the end of last year, so I guess it's possible.
Maybe it is best to write her a handwritten letter
Amazing interview. I love how happy Elizabeth looks conducting this interview! Just like how a fan would! :)

Considering how strong her voice is when singing, it's really surprising to hear how sweet and gentle her speaking voice is.
What Brittney says at 43:54 is something she beautifully did to me with a big smile on her face as she was belting out some godly notes. I'll never forget it. Thank you, Brittney 🧡
Clicked on the video without looking at the duration thinking it was maybe 15-20 minutes then noticing it is 1hr 40 minutes!!! YESSSSSSSSS!
Oh.... Okay.... like I am Soooo down with This !!!!
I love how easily you're able to connect with each other. Very fun, informative talk, thank you very much!
I just love how adorable and nerdy you both are about vocals and music. Love you both so much
This is gonna be sooo awesome!! Ok the "Tonight we ride" reaction was so great and funny and exciting!! But wait, has Elizabeth even seen "Brindisi"?? OMG she would probably loose it!!...lol
Can't wait for tomorrow🤘😆🤘
Your fans are definitely going to wait on you guys, album is so Epic 👍
Thank you both!!!
This is going to be an amazing video! Can’t wait!
*notes the giant swords in the background*
Someone is a Sanderson nerd.
She has good taste. 🤟🏻
My first thought was "Are those Shardblades?"
Yep, I was about to comment on the shardblades until I saw you beat me to it!
I was looking for the Shardblade comment! Now we need to see Elizabeth's take on some Parshendi songs.
my thoughts exactly
Great Interview!!!
Thanks Elizabeth and Brittney!
Wow, Now I love and appreciate both UTA and Brittney even more! Dune is, without a doubt, one of the best series ever written.
Two of the best women on the internet... in one interview??!
Yes please.
I was really excited for this interview, and it definitely didn't disappoint. In fact, I never would've guessed you two would start discussing a bunch of my favorite authors! Love it!
I don’t watch interviews often... but how could I not watch two amazing human beings discuss fascinating things. Thank you!
Brittney in the house. Oh, yeah.
Brilliant interview Elizabeth, Brittney seems like a very genuine woman and a terrific singer of course.. Sounds like you both enjoyed the interview.
Absolutely loved this! Especially lived you guys geeking out about books. Okay, gonna go listen to Abyss again now!
This is cool, I found out about Unleash The Archers because of you and now here you are interviewing Brittney Slayes!!! So sweet!!
UTA is #1 on my concert wish list. So pissed I missed you guys last time. Chicago loves you! Thanks for the interview.
Brittney Slayes in the house? Okay... gotta keep calm... caaaalm... WEEEE! :D
I kept it together until I read this comment and then lost it. Customers at work thought I had Tourette’s😂😂😂
Oh yeah
Perfect way to say it! Thank you for that!
That is a fine profile picture!
GO FOR THE EYES! :D
Expect this to be one seriously geeky interview, can't wait!
Awesome interview from two genuine and pleasant people.
