the new horde mode just came out and my first match on, all 16 of us died but the majority of us died together
hearing this track play after getting out of that match was enough for me to just put the game down, it was emotionally draining putting all that work in just for us all to die together

Sitting on the Menu screen. Decompressing after a long mission from hell.
It was a simple mission.
Just set up a dropzone outposts, get ore, & start arc. Not a gas mission.
But we had 3 Mutators.
Pitch-Black (made the night mission extra extra dark.)
& then 2 warrior bug buffs to ambush and amount.
We were beyond the definition of overwhelmed.
None of us had ever seen so many warrior bugs ever.
I didn't even know the game could spawn THAT many.
It was unreal. Not anywhere close to the normal amount. It was nothing but warriors.
Everyone was running out of ammo faster than normal.
It was a long grueling trial and terror.
We had to stand on trucks, cargo boxes, and the broken base walls.
Anyone on the ground was lost. The sheer amount of bugs made it impossible to get to downed men.
In the end we lost 9 out of our 16 on the way to evac.

They really NAILED the feel of the original 1997 movie with this game, including a bunch of fun references to the other films too (The Morita MK3 SAW was in the animated movies). The soundtrack is so good.

There is a map where the a bug is dead, that is not an enemy in the game, though it is actually a bug in movie that was killed, you are right that there are good references

It's crazy they made tracks that are just as good as the original movie OST for this game, super impressed by all the music

There are no videos of the OST of the game yet, and I really love the menu themes, so if anyone wanted to listen to them, I recorded them for someone else to listen too.
