Given the chance, would you go on The Golden Round Trip? Have you ever done anything like this before?

Have visited Lucerne 2018, didn't do Pilatus, going back October 2025, doing this trip. If you pre purchase there is usually a express line and guarantee to get on, in peak it's a must. I did Mt Titlis 10,000ft in Engelberg. If you have Swiss rail pass, show on board boat for free gift.

The Swiss Rail Pass seems like it can be such a good deal if you are able to take advantage of it!

I actually have never been but I hope to get there soon! However, I do have few places on my radar including Velocity Valley Adrenaline Park, Skyline Rotura, Hamilton Gardens and the AJ Hackett Auckland SkyJump and SkyWalk. If I ever get there, I hope to post videos for some of that!

is it possible to cover that route if we are doing a day tour from Zurich, and visiting the Lucerne city as well in the evening.

It would be a bit tough but if you got up early enough it could be possible. The boat we took left at 9:38am from Lucerne and then we got back to the same train station at roughly 5pm. How quick you go somewhat depends on how many activities you do on the top of Mt. Pilatus. So I'd say it's possible, but it would definitely be a full day!
