That sounds so good! However, there is one thing that bugs me lol... I usually go pre - Eq - Comp and unfortunately that doesn't give you that flexibility, does it? It'd be nice if you could somehow tie them together and turn them into a channel strip....but then again I didn't have time to go through the whole vid so maybe I'm missing something??
Dam, it sounds so natural. Softube is killing it. I already got the Arousor as well as BigFrEQ from ELI directly. I'm not sure if I like the additional publishing strategy and if the subtle differences realy justifies spending over 300 Euro... But it's very tempting as everything Softube does ;)
Great review, Softube gear is first rate, would love to know how this goes up against the IK Multimedia Comprexxor and the Impirical Labs Distressor one, I'm so confused as to which one to get would love to hear them side by side :-)
Hey Mike. Important question. When you build up such a console approach - which those two seem to be made for - on all channels. It's the CPU usage similar low as if using a console strip plugin from Plugin Alliance? I fear this combo will kill the CPU. Would be amazing if you could give us information, as many people are wondering about that on the forum right now. Thanks a lot. Cheers
I probably would avoid trying to use this as a console on every track because you would have identical channels. Maybe us the Amek 9000 but don't use the comp or eq section on the Amek .. Just to try it out
Speaking of consoles, we never got your opinion on the Brainworx SSL 9000J even though you featured it in a few videos. I know you were impressed with the G emulation but a lot of us wonder why the J was never plugin of the week...

I'm with you on this one but I reckon that it'd work wonders for people that don't own the EL ones or UAD's Distressor....they do sound great, though!
In the same situation... I will definitively wait to see what the Arousor Rev 3 will bring to the table
