Loved this vlog. Stephen is a breath of fresh air to the channel, hope he becomes a regular. No disrespect intended, just know how much of a nice guy he is after meeting him at Alton Towers a couple of months ago and in all fairness he knows his stuff where coasters are concerned.
We went June half term when is was fairly busy and still managed to get on all the family rides we wanted to plus see the Sealion and Bird show and zoo. The staff were very friendly and the shows are really good. There is a really good cafe next to the Zoo shop that does excellent coffee and cakes.
Yes...finally on SIK. For me 2nd best coaster in the UK just behind ICON Great shout on a family boomering...younger kids really love Zoom though so that needs to stay. The staff used to be absolutely amazing back in the 90s...then 00s hit and they went downhill bigtime. Good to see them back on the up.
Hey we saw you there and said hi. We got our tickets from planet offers. It was £75 quid for 4. They sell out fast though! We had a fab day the low queue levels really helped😊
I went to Flamingo Land at easter this year for the first time. Was so impressed! As a southener, i usually visit Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Drayton Manor, but Flamingo Land was excellent! Sik is now in my top 5 UK coasters, and i loved Kumali and Velocity. Would love to know which launch coasters you guys love and hate! Maybe a top/bottom 5?
Another fantastic vlog, Sik looks ace!! As for Hero....ommm you're brave 😂 I haven't been to Flamingo Land, but I'll be doing something about that soon.
Great vlog...I found Kumali rough myself last year can't remember which side I sat on . Sik is excellent I think It's some line up of obscure coasters they have there.
Mumbo Jumbo was a firm favourite for many of my Y6s last week. Followed by flip flop, cliff hanger, Kumasi and Sik. Even twistosaurus provided a lot of fun and a lot of laughs from us all.
This vlog is timed perfectly. I'm umming and ahhing over which non merlin UK park to visit next month? I'm in Birmingham, but I don't mind a drive....I'm flip-flopping between Flamingo Land or Fantasy Island? What do you reckon?
Now that’s a tough one! I’ve got a soft spot for Fantasy Island because of visits in the 90s and being contracted to work for them in 21 and 22 🤔 We’re doing Fantasy Island in August I think.
Those heartline rolls on Sik at the end absolutely ruined my thighs the other week. We had two rides on it, one in the morning and one at the end of the day and no joke I had bruises across my thighs for over a week 😅 Granted I do have very chunky thighs but still. Maybe because there’s nothing to hold onto? Loved the rest though, and hearing Faithless ‘Insomnia’ while loading into the train and setting off was pure vibes 🔥 We need more stations with that kind of atmosphere. I was curious how you would find it Scott as I’ve heard you say in many vlogs that you find some restraints hard on your thighs too.
Very good to hear about friendly staff allowing to accept seat requests I'm visiting 23rd August with my family but I'm a single rider would love a front row on sik
I heard that Flamingo Land called in S&S to work on the Tower during last Winter and they really improved it. Hope that more of these receive the same treatment. This video had slipped through the net for me until now 😊
I went to FL out of season earlier in the year. Lovely place to take my 3y.o for animals and he rode the dino coaster about 7 times. Couldn't get enough of it,. Gotta agree with you about the pricing. But as we live in Yorkshire. Its really the only option for a theme park day trip. I'm glad you had a nice day by the end of it lads.
Isnt the park cheaper if you book online in advance? I suppose the price will be higher than other theme parks as they have the animal costs as well, £52.50 is maybe a little expensive, especially for families
Sik is amazing and the only reason I still go to flamingo land. The price however I think is bonkers. Its cheaper for me to get the train and go to blackpool pleasure beach from near york then it is to go to flamingo land now
Mullet was in our recent Liseberg vlog (briefly) but has a very good job with limited time off. We struggle to both have the same free time but we’re always in touch. Stuz is all good and we chat regularly but I don’t think he’ll be in anymore vlogs sadly (his choice).
@@swc8544Been chatting America plans with mullet for next summer lately, and chatting about BPB in the 2000s with Stuz today 😅 They’re not in videos much now but everything is great between us all.
Totally agree with comments regards Stephen, always looking for the positive side, a really good balanced and fun to watch video with some awesome POV, heading there in September to ride Sik for first time, we were a little too early last June. I guess that's the pay on the day price 52.50, seems advance tickets are much more punter friendly. Thanks guys
i found a deal on an app called kidspass , it was only £1 a month for the app and flamingo land tickets were up to 40% off , so i got an adult ticket for only £35 and i'm going tomorrow !
You should have bought your tickets 7 days in advance online I paid £39 and its free parking so its much more reasonable. Its £65 on the gate at Alton Towers!
Why not visit Yorkshire Wildlife Park. I have membership as i live locally and i can tell you that it is a really good family attraction, they have plenty of indoor and outdoor play areas, a themed Dinosaur and Pirate resturant, a Dinosaur area and a Big Wheel. They also have a hotel and shopping area. The animals are mostly endangered and they have really good walkthrough areas and plenty of cafes and kiosks round the park they also do the ranger talks and show and tell area for kids and during the holidays they usually have entertainment around the park. I would really reccommend the Safari nights as they have live entertainment, barbeque and a cocktail area where you can get non alcholic as well as alchollic drinks also the cats are more active in the evening as the park stays open till 8pm. They have had a lot of babies born this year including Amur Leopard Cubs.
Price of admission and lack of deals has kept me away. Just way too much to pay for a family of 4, and it doesn’t look to offer anything to justify asking more, when compared to other parks in the UK.
Thanks
Thank you for you're blogs I enjoy them all and those you have on the channel give out good comments
Thank you Paul, much appreciated 😃
Again a fine example on why this is the best channel, down to earth and nice people and you can really see that with all your vlogs 👏
Many thanks 😊
Finally, someone else who appreciates Sik! I see a lot of people calling it rough, i don't personally see it.
Definitely wasn’t rough 😅
I found Sik to be silky smooth, I have been so confused about people calling it rough. Great coaster!

@@yourexperienceguide nice one mate 👍

Stephen seems like such a kind, decent guy. Even the coasters he didn’t like, he played down his dislike diplomatically.

I'd get rid of that entire F1 area. Such a massive footprint to play with. I loved it when we went as it was so quiet.
