Some nice photography tips here. Thank you! The parabolic paper surround is a good idea to bounce the light. I just picked up my first Veinte Pesos and I really like it. I look forward to watching more of your content!
coin photography, it's so hard to capture the brilliant shinny coin textures. mostly, coin surface looks like rough stones on the photos. can you show us how to take brilliant shiny silver coin photos?
Thanks Cyber, there were some good tips there. The cup makes an excellent tripod and the circle of paper enhances the lighting. I will be trying this tomorrow.
Thank you for taking the time to share these great tips .. I use my phone for making video's and taking photographs of my finds, I shall deffinately put into practice these tips when taking future photographs 👍 .. maybe of my first gold coin, if I'm lucky enough to find one 😀 ha ha .... best wishes and HH Tina
As usual, very good content, I have yet to get a camera worthy of our shiny, but one day maybe . . . I noticed you demonstrated a cool tip without actually mentioning it in this video. Using a cup as a make-shift tripod was a nice touch 😉
Interesting video, normally I take picktures of my coins on my window sill when I have bad light, I will try the white paper next time. For me a blue background works best for silver coins.
Natural light is always preferable. I have taken them with my studio light before, which has special daylight lamps in it, but nothing beats the real thing.
My camera takes better photos than my phone as it has a super macro function, but not everyone wants to get into the realms of having a camera these days, when they have one on their phone
Hey Mate, I am back. I have not lost everything to the markets LOL! I have Sir ricks virgin galactic stock paying the bills as I flip it. I have some of your vids to catch up on. The steamboats and engines still in use as well. I have yet to re motor the steam lamp!
I used to love photographing my coins for Steemit, having a play with lighting is proper cool with silver, i got some mad special effects by putting lamps to the side or using a4 paper to cast shadows, direct or block light, i should get back into it, this is one i did a few years back of the 2014 proof Britannia: steemit.com/bwphotocontest/@russellbury/daveks-b-and-w-photo-contest
@@CyberCurtainTwitcher I managed to find it yes it took me a while getting sidetracked watching fake silver get sand blasted and the likes haha! I actually just bought a Mexican olympic coin like that
With advancements in cell phone camera technology, point and shoot camera sells have to be taking a hit.Good info for people selling coins on Ebay, etc.I knew that Morgan was a fake, when are you going to destroy it?😉That's the nicest tree I ever saw😄
It was you that inspired my artistic rendition! Yeah, camera sales must be really taking a big hit these days. I used to upgrade mine very few years, but the one i have now must be about 6 years old. I'm not sure i want to destroy that fake Morgan, it's a nice vintage counterfeit. Maybe if i come up with an outstanding termination method then i will.
@@CyberCurtainTwitcher AWESOME! Well, I'm out here rooting for ya. I've got some Mexican gold on its way to me that i'll feature in a video. A pleasure to have you stop by.
Great 👍 info. I used to love photography back in the 35 mm days, but I have zero skills with me camera. Inspiring thanks!
I think i got into it around the age of 12. Black and white film back then (it was cheaper, nothing to do with my age!).

I'll have a go. The only way to do it really is to have something that will show in the reflection.

But did you notice all the edits of face reveals in the reflection on my phone screen! Dang, that was hard video to make. Filiming me filming!!!😲
Great video. Im sure it will help a lot of people. And I was thinking that morgan looked suspect strait away. Hope you get better soon my friend
