- In todays video I hope to inspire all you stackers out there to "keep calm & keep stacking" by sharing my slow but steady journey to 40 gold sovereigns.
This has not been any easy journey for someone on a low income, but is achievable, especially if you have zero debt like me.
Excellent collection of sovereigns, keep stacking my friend...the future prospects of the world economy are in the fog...In Gold we trust!!! ))
Thanks. You are so right about the world economy.
Amazing collection of sovereigns my friend! Congratulations on accumulating so many. They are beautiful.
Thanks Sal.
Daaaam you got a comment of the godfather, congrats
Great collection - well done. I had to sell all my sovereign coins bar a few proof collectibles when I lost my job for 6 months and refused to go on the dole. Kept the foreign fractional gold and the 1/10th Britannia's. Just bought 6 Sovereign coins today to try and claw back my previous position of about 35. That said didn't sell my Silver and that is a very big total...
You need a 1/10th Britannia with every 4 Sovereign coins to trip them over 1 Troy Oz.
Two tier Kier will be robbing us Brits blind. Gold and Silver is invisible wealth.
Sorry to hear you lost your job, but i bet you were glad you had your sovereigns as back up. I know i certainly would.
I did mean to mention in the video that those 40 are probably not even a years wages for most people, but having a years wages set aside is of course better than having none.
Nice ✨Keep calm keep stacking ☺️
Thanks Tiger.
@ you’re welcome my friend 🤗
What a treat for us to see CCT. You've done very well to have amassed 40 of them. 🙂
I think so, especially as I'm not a big earner.
Wonderful Sovereign stack! Gold is pushing toward 2800 spot at the time I'm typing- crazy! I like that you turned silver purchased cheaper into gold. It would be nice to see you keep going to 50 Sovereigns, so I hope you make that goal someday CCT.
With gold heading to $2800, Like you said, my goal of 50 gets further away.
So many sovereigns, Wow, I'm impressed! Nice job🎉
Thanks Karry. It's been a very long journey, especially as been buying 1/2oz Britannias as well.
Beautiful collection! If that doesn’t get the juices flowing I don’t know what will. A heck of a journey my friend, thank you for sharing them with us
Thanks my friend. It's been a long journey, especially as I'm predominantly a silver stacker.
Congrats CCT - a huge collection and more of those bought at previous lower prices - well done 🙂Your Victoria Jubilee seem absolutely flawless to me - wow!
Thanks. I'm certainly glad I bought what I did when I did. I can't remember what I paid Apmex for the 1887, but it sure wasn't cheap. Thankfully it was bought with vintage & collectable silver that owed me about £300.
A lot of people just don't get it, but my silver & gold stack has actually helped my silver and gold stack grow. I'm glad I didn't listen to all the people saying "buy and hold". Exactly how long should one "hold", until you're 6 foot under? That's one of the great things about having a large and varied collection. You can always liquidate pieces that have gone up for pieces that you really want now. I'll check later, but I'm pretty sure the 2013 India sovs were $200 (we bought them as a group buy), and they are probably $700+ today.
Love them sovereigns ❤ also love the purge, collect that fiat money 💰 and purchase the new sovereigns! Brilliance 👍😎👍
Thanks. I enjoy buying silver way more, but it's all a preservation of wealth.
What a great collection of Sovereigns you have!
Thanks. I'm just kicking myself for not getting more coronation sovereigns, but there is always stuff enticing us stackers.😁
Now thats a stack of sovs if I’d ever saw one! Wonderful video cyber, thanks for sharing. Cheers and keep stacking 😊✌🏻
Thanks Georgie.
Excellent stack mate, I love seeing whole stack vids/pics.
Thanks mate.
That’s amazing ! Well done ! 👍🏻 beautiful stuff . Subbed . I’m a big fan of the gold sovereigns
Thanks. Just uploading another video now.
Awesome collection CCT! Up next…50 Sovs video!!
Already on my way!😁
Very nice stack of sovereigns 😍
Thanks.
Yes, I was wondering. That is quite the collection, and a whole Lotta gold. Great video, my friend. Take care.🙏
Thanks my friend. 9.4oz is not much compared to many others, but as you know, I do have other gold & a decent silver stack too.
Very nice collection! Congratulations!
Thanks Steve.
Hi that's a sweet stack. Big thumbs up.
Thanks. It's certainly become harder as the years have passed.
Very nice gold collection great job 👍
Thanks Johnny.
That's an awesome collection for sure! I think I'm around the same amount in my sovereign collection as well... Although I haven't purchased gold in about 4-5 years now!
Gold is certainly expensive right now, but it seems there are still plenty buyers.
Nice layout CCT.
Thanks.
Whassup CCT?? ✌️🇺🇸 lots of shineys there. Nice work
Howdy. Thanks. It's been a long journey for sure.
Great collection. The last 2 from 1925 are in really good condition for 100 year old coins.
The majority of my George V sovereigns are all in good condition. I think it was that point in time that they we used more as savings than currency.
@@CyberCurtainTwitcher It is quite possible.
Beautiful inspirational lot of coins there! I do not think I will ever have as many sovereigns. However, you may never have as many 20 franc goldies as me. My acquisition of new PMs is being bombarded with medical costs now. I hate to say that my stacking days are over, but I am no spring chicken and with inflation and medical I may be done.
You are absolutely right about the 20 francs. I have zero left now after converting them to Britannias. I understand about your stacking position now, but we both know it's an addiction that's hard to quit.😁
That reason is exactly why I am stacking as many ounces of gold and silver as I possibly can. In two years when I retire my stacking efforts are sure to go into reverse. All the best to you sir. 🫎
I hope you get this,I tried a couple times.Love the Sov design, that's why I even drew a picture of it.Impressive collection,Im only 37 behind you😄. Happy Halloween my friend
Yes, i got it this time. My stack of sovs might look a lot, but it's not even a years wages for most people. It's certainly been a long journey to get this far.
@CyberCurtainTwitcher Although I've been concentrating on paper currency the past couple years,I still consider myself a coin collector.I actually went through my collection and thinking of doing a video on some of my favorite ones.
Sweet!🫎🫎
Thanks my friend.
Very Nice Thanks
Chat with you in an hour my friend.
@@CyberCurtainTwitcher Ok
Great Sovereign this is you know I'm also a sovereign collector
Thanks.
Great achievement, and i bet a great feelings looking at them all. I think im at about 18 sovereigns (-2 that belong to the kids 😂), keep going slowly but surely
Thanks. It's been a long journey, especially when there is other silver and gold that you'd like, and is always there to tempt you.😁
Been a pleasure watching you acquire most of these over the years my friend! Beautiful collection buddy! Have you heard from 24k?
Hello old friend. Yes, I speak with 24k every week in a WhatsApp group.
Wow😊
Sweet stack!
I need to check the mint mark on my half-Sov.
London has no mint mark. Interestingly, after recording this video and sorting all my mint marked coins from London, I did actually have more from London than those with mint marks, which surprised me.
@@CyberCurtainTwitcher was London the only place that made the half sovereign?
@@WorldMoneyWins No, is the simple answer.
An impressive lot of loot to be sure. 😍
It might seem a lot, but it's probably less than a years wages for most people.
Great video thanks 😊
Thanks Dave.
Very nice. I only have a few , as we pay 10% GST on each and every one.
That's a real pain. There are always ways round these things though.
Wow very nice collection .after all those being acquired it would be hard to part with. O and iam a little confused you could not get all your money out of the bank to buy whatever you wanted.i have that problem but she's my wife 😊😊😊
Thanks my friend. Yes, the banks don't want us using cash, so limit my daily withdrawal to £300.
@CyberCurtainTwitcher wow that's crazy
Very similar to my own.
I absolutely love having savings outside the banks control.
@@CyberCurtainTwitcher We are lucky and fortunate to see into the future a few years ago. I saw governments printing money and reallised that it could not go on, like a packet of crisps for 50p, 10 shillings old money. No paper trails is also very handy too. I have other things in gold and silver too.
Massive rep off company your so right 😊
Thanks for stopping by.
Dave will be green over these !!!😂
We'll find out shortly.😁
I'd love to have a sovereign. The only gold I have from the U.K. is the Queen's Beast. Being of Welch Scottish ancestry anything from the realm is interesting to me!
And what always amazes me is how many are still in great shape. Clearly just used as savings and not currency I guess.
So do you have any half sovereigns or those piedforts in your stack then ?
I do have halves and even a double sovereign, but just wanted to make this video about the full sovs.
😯😁🤤
Thanks for stopping by my friend.
For one for each year since introduction in 1817, it only takes 207!
Only!!
I can remember buying 4 for £100,then 10 for £1000,😅now be very lucky to buy 2 for £1000😮
Yep, times have changed that's for sure.
£180? How old are you mate? 😂😂 I love Sovereigns but I just have a few. Ducats are easier to sell here. Congrats, you have a great stack/collection of Sovereigns. Have a great weekend.
If i remember rightly, they were actually a bit less than £180. That was only about 12 years ago. I don't blame you sticking with what is easiest to liquidate in Austria.
That's just under 10 T oz, well done!
It is indeed. 9.41 to be more precise.😁
@CyberCurtainTwitcher you know what that means?
You need 3 more to 10oz! 😂
Then 7 more to 50 sovs! 😱
Very Cool CCT 😎 🥇 🛝
Thanks my friend.
What’s with the gloves 😅
I use them to hide the grafters hands.
I’ve never liked the 2012, my old eyes just see clutter.
I would have to agree with you on that. I can't even remember why I bought that one. Maybe just because it was a variant. I think the 2005 is much nicer.
Have quite a few 1957 sovereigns, purchased about a year ago in uncirculated state. Also a 1953 south african Elizabeth half pond.( sovereign).
Reason was, that I was a boy in this period. - I was thinking about trading in a 1oz Mexican Libertad for Victorian full/half sovereigns. - I should state that so far have just 8ozs in all.
@@davidhookway514 Just 8 ounces? That's more than a lot of people have. I'd say you've done well. Congrats on snagging the 1957's as well.
