I think that Max merging with Paramount Plus would be a great move, because, if Max becomes part of Paramount Plus like when Hulu became part of Disney Plus, I would sign up for Paramount Plus and use the Max part of it to watch movies and TV shows from Warner Brothers like the "Scooby Doo" franchise, the "Cats & Dogs" trilogy and "Space Jam: A New Legacy". When do you think that Max will merge with Paramount Plus?
Disagree!!!! Paramount is it's Own company it Does not Belong With Disney and Max & There Noway I'm going To Be Cool with Nickelodeon & Cartoon Network Working Together
Concerning the question's response: True: streaming service shows are usually of a higher quality and broadcast TV can't be expected to do shows of the same visual quality as The Mandalorian or Game of Thrones on their meager budgets. However, if scripted TV shows are being perceived as shoddy, then the networks should put in the work to have the quality be halfway between TV and streaming, especially in the writing department where work is often the sloppiest.
In terms of Paramount + my subscription was set to renew last Friday, but due to the uncertainty about the future of Paramount + I did not feel comfortable with renewing my subscription for the year plus, I did not see Paramount + as having enough good quality content to make it even close to worthwhile. I know in other regions Paramount + offers far better value for money. You can only cut so many corners before it starts to destroy your streaming service. I am looking forward seeing what Disney has planned, if anything for ESPN in terms the U.K market I feel when they shut down ESPN Player we where left hang Sky picked up some of the rights but it unclear how things will look when the College football season starts will ESPN ( Disney) show it some how or will we be left with what Sky pick to show us in the U.K. Alan Shields Hamilton South Lanarkshire Scotland.
The strange thing is with Paramount+ overall in most countries, is that most of their original shows are still releasing on DVD. Such as the new Star Trek shows, Dexter bad blood, halo, 1883, 1923, Tulsa king (basically the majority of Taylor Sheridan shows) and the Frasier revival too. So really it’s like what’s the point of subscribing to begin with when those shows are still coming out on physical media. I’m sure you understand where I’m coming back right?
Pricing is extremely important for us customers, i would love to get Paramount plus but just can't afford another streaming service. I already am using Netflix, Disney Plus, Max, and Prime Video, and been trying out TH-cam Premium on a 3 month free trial. I plan on keeping that if i can, but we'll see. Life is getting very difficult when it comes to money and having enough for these streaming services. So pricing means alot. I would like to see Max and Paramount Plus merge. Because i love Star Trek and the Sonic movies and i heard of a Knuckles series to.

So subscribing to Paramount+ makes not much sense if they merge wouldn´t it make their own Service disappear and end the run of their PM+ Apps around the devices???
How can that be thought it would be rather being a bidding war for seperate content from others rather than selling it to one isn´t that possible a issue for regulations since Warner already been swallowed by Discovery aren´t they already merged together so they would be possible to swallow all the Paramount stuff into their Max. But on the other hand it would make sense if they finally want really to spread the Service globally but here in german areas it is problematic since they having deals with Sky and so or Amazon as well were the paramount+ service is available through. But at least I hope they are keeping their Movie Studio and presenting their Studio Tours still even next Year since I want to go doing it but funny will do both Warner Bros. and Paramount, so I hope they don´t move the props and such to Warner Bros. and keep them in their Studios to showing them for the Fans.
We sub to Paramount+, Disney+, & Amazon Prime in memberships paid ANNUALLLY. As annual subs, we do NOT have any bundles. We watch WAY more P+ & A.P. (admittedly WAY less than before they forced ads onto their top tier subscribers!) than D+, partly because we watch ALL the "linear" CBS shows on P+. We haven't had "traditional TV" access for more than 10 years. I was curious to see if Max+ would join D+ and now even more curious to see if P+ does instead. I agree with you that many genres are needed for many tastes, but even us "old" people still watch media differently than we did 20 or 30 years ago! ;-) If Max/D/P all joined together for ONE streaming bundle that included what they already have AND allowed for an ANNUAL payment structure....now THAT's something we'd consider paying for and even cancel our A.P! Because..... since they forced us to watch ads or pay MORE than our "annual" fee, it sucks!
I honestly hope this happens, whether Skydance (or whoever) buys Paramount or not. Disney/Hulu and Max are my favorite streamers, though I dump Max sometimes (including now) to save a few bucks. I’m anxiously waiting for this stupid bundle to arrive so I can bring it back. Paramount I don’t use as much, though ironically, with Kingstown and the Sheridan shows, New Frasier, New Beavis, and the South Park specials, I watch more originals on there than the others! I’ve long thought Warner and Paramount, just on the content, would have been a good match, and merging the streamers is the next best thing, and then bundled with Disney is even better. It’d be interesting if Disney and Max were one app as well, but that’s probably unlikely in the short term. 😁
I'm looking forward to the new "Paramax." I'm even looking forward to the final season of "Star Trek: Lower Decks" and season three of "Strange New Worlds."

I like paramount plus, always have. I had to get the add version this annual time cause the discount for the same price promotion for premium version wasn't working like they said it would. But I still got it. It's worth 60 bucks a year atleast. An it's better then max imo. Max likes to stretch out every single dc series by dropping the first half of something then waiting so many months an then dropping the second half just to keep subscribers subscribed. Netflix likes to do that to with some stuff. Paramount plus an dianey plus doemt do that. Like ever. Puts them a tier above the rest imo. They don't need to stretch out content to just have content on the app overall that's new. Paramount an disney both always just have new content to put put cause they produce an make that much for their platforms. Again that makes them better. Netflix an max are better if just sub for a month or 2 out of the year, watch everything an then just come back later. Cause they like to stretch to much stuff out for no reason.
Bro, we’re getting Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon under the same roof!
Sounds like it at this point.
Reminder: DC, Star Trek, HBO, Nickelodeon, Showtime, TMNT, The Big Bang Theory, Cartoon Network, March Madness, Bellator MMA, The EUFA Champions League, Adult Swim, MTV, and the Taylor Sheridan universe all in one place.
