I really do like MP Arcee. I didn't get the official one (that's a whole other story) but I did get the Robot Rose version with the optional chestpieces. I love her. The articulation is great. And I agree that a swappable back would have been a great idea. I personally don't like to mod my figures, so, it would have been nice if they had included backpack swapping as a factory feature. Anyway, great review, man!

I just wish we could get an upscaled version of Newage's Arcee. That one has it's own problems as well, but I just think the proportions of the overall body look better and more accurate to G1 arcee, and both transformation and how they handle the backpack is the best of the Arcees without having to remove it for an alternate piece. And I feel like at a bigger scale they could fix a lot of the issues it has like the peg sticking out of the leg, or the fin on the top of the car sticking out on the backpack

Yes! I agree! That MP-51 Arcee is the Best thus far. Not even gonna like, that Fanstoys Arcee looks too Manly now! Lol 😹 not to mention she looks flat. Yeah! So True!! I give it up to these Transformers manufacturers. Bro! To have them Transform and also have that Toon Aesthetics and Also have that Insanse Articulation!! Is crazy!! Absolutely insane work by the engineering and design Team! That's why sometimes it gets when reviewers get upset of say this is overly engineered because the Transformation is too too complicated. Am like ..when you this to Jump like it came out of the Cartoon and have that Level of Action figure like Articulation. The engineering and parts count go thru the Roof!! So the Transformation is going to be insane!

I despise shell formers. I like the changes you made, they were improvements but the low chest just looks wrong. You see it so clearly when you show the animation of her in your video how off it is.
That said I would have preferred if they took liberties with her car mode so her body could transform into a car without having to carry a giant shell on her back. In fact I always thought her car mode looked dumb and if they had made some changes for a cooler design they could conceivably transform her into I would love to see that.
All that said, the original face they proposed for Big Firebird EX-01 Nicee Arcee was the head I want to see for Arcee. If you go to ShowZ and scroll all the way to the bottom of her pictures you will see the head sculpt I am talking about. That head sculpt was amazing. The face sculpt they ended up selecting I honestly hate.
I have no idea why they bailed on their first head sculpt because it was remarkable but I wish someone would take that sculpt and actually use it for an Arcee.
For the most part I only like the Transformers with face shields but Arcee is the one exception but so far no one has made a sculpt that I like except that one original design for Nicee that never was used.
I like the small backpack you gave her. I actually don't mind small well thought out backpacks for characters. I actually love the backpack that is on the back of X-Transbot's Ultra Magnus for example. It is cool when the design of the back is just as well thought out as the front.

Hey chest is like that because it allows for more range of motion for her arms and shoulders and it's the main reason I didn't buy it. I bought the Rose Toy version, which has swappable chest plate and this is more accurate to how she looks but, it doesn't transform as well and I lose the articulation. Easy enough as far as transformation is concerned as I just swap the old chest piece back in. I don't mind the backpack as with her car mode, it's going to take an engineering masterpiece in order to get rid of that while keeping her robot mode at the same time.

The thing that really bugs me about this particular Arcee is how chests looks with entire body. Not only Arcee really needs a lift, but the chest doesn't go well with rest of the body. You have an angular chest with sharp edges put on a figure with organic shapes.
It feels like they "tried" to kinda make her accurate... but also... sexy? (She also looks more like a cosplayer like that)
Pick a lane Takara!!! Either make her full sexy in her own label or make her ACTUALLY G1 accurate as possible and then slap Masterpiece label on it

Yes you will have to sand it because that figure already has very tight tolerances if you going to use can spray paint you will need to sand extra in the joints if air brush then you can thin the paint when necessary. Also you may definitely require a primer coat going from red to blue

The backpack and chest need to be changed out to be more accurate. I get what they're doing, but it doesn't fit her, even her generations didn't have that sort of chest (although did have plenty of butt). Maybe it's because it's a single plate rather than anything bare, I get she was originally meant to be a naked Leia, but still.
