- Molly Hatchet performs "Sweet Dixie" on 1983 tv/radio simulcast of Rock N' Roll Tonite from Los Angeles, CA. Band members are Danny Joe Brown on vocals, Dave Hlubek, Duane Roland & Steve Holland on guitars and Barry Borden on drums.
Nobody needs a bread to appreciate Molly Hatchet, but a beer helps me. Salute!

I still come back to this AWESOME video just to hear Dave's CRAZY wild solo..This is one of my all time favorite Hlubeck guitar lead solos.

I "discovered" Molly Hatchet only 2-3 years ago. I do remember them from the late 70s. At that time, they seemed like just another hair band to me. But, as my taste has changed, I really like these guys. It appears Danny Joe Brown was a very good front man for the band and he had such really good musicians behind him as well. Frankly, I don't see why they aren't considered more seriously as a rock band (or southern rock band). Lynyrd Skynyrd aren't as good as these guys,

I understand that Lynyrd Skynyrd has their fans. But, I don't see where they are better than the Danny Joe Brown lineup of Molly Hatchet. To each his own, I suppose.
