This product is actually very strong. It takes literally everything out from your skin the normal vitamins and other stuffs in your skin that needs for maintaining the sebums and moisturizing. I've tested this out and have used it 4 weeks now and I gotta say this product leaves my skin very dry even though I apply all the moisturizers after, it leaves my skin a bumpy texture as well due to the dryness and dead skin cells it makes!! Also I can see from your skin from the pics that your skin gets flaky dead skin cells too. This product is a no go for me.
Yep extremely drying. My skin has gone from normal to oily by using this and BP over the past three years, now two months into the process of trying to correct it.
Why’s it better, it only has .5% salycilic acid but the cerave acne wash has 2% I actually find the effaclar cleanses better than the cerave sa cleanser tbh I just used the effaclar one tonight What do you use now

Thanks! Well it’s a good question actually, I personally wouldn’t use two toners in one skincare routine, but you can definitely use sunscreen after using this toner ☺️
If I can help I have to say that I have mixed sensitive skin and I'm using this for 2 weeks now, and my skin is way better then before so I suggest you to try if your skin it's not too dry

I over exfoliated my skin with Dr dennis gross alpha beta peel extra strength & drunk elephant sukari baby facial used them twice a week for 2 months also chemical burnt my neck. then drunk elephant tlc framboos glycolic night serum every night for one month along with c firma day serum daily morning. Also used tatcha deep cleanse as cleanser. My face got so irritated got severe breakouts 😫😖I ruined my skin in these 3 months 😖 I stopped using all actives but no improvement in the skin 😖

Hi there. I have been using avene cleanance gel for over 10 years now and it used to work great until my skin started to change. Now i face EXTREMELY oily skin and it doesn't help at all.
This product is horrible. Just look at the ingredients list. Sodium Laureth Sulfate in a product for sensitive skin? There are so many cheaper cleansers that can do so much better job than that trash. Im so frustrated because I used it only once and my skin is dry like a Sahara dessert.... People, don't use it, even if you have oily skin
Well there could be a lot of reasons why you started breaking out...it could be purging, it could be other factors of the lifestyle, but it could be that this cleanser does not suit your skin type... I would suggest to stop using it for a while and try again after some time, if you start breaking out again, then you could definitely tell that this is from the cleanser
