Wow! What a freaking long flight time, dude! 😮 Fantastic flying! Thanks a bunch for sharing!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊 And happy holidays!
Nice flight. At 2 degrC with a 6600mAh pack you were able to draw 6671mAh 🙂. And surprisingly, with 50% flaps and a lower flying speed the plane is more efficient with it's power.
Excellent flight testing. 6671mAh used on a 6600mAh pack is a test done to the max. Noticed it was stated that having flaps down a bit lowered throttle (3:45). I'd assume the airspeed also lowered? This would make sense for achieving the longest flight endurance If someone where to try Li-ions, flight endurance would be insane! (more mAh for same weight, constraint being amount of internal space)
I'm not sure how accurate my current sensor is (using the default value from Matek) but it certainly looks about right. I probably ran the battery down just a little more than I should have which would explain drawing slightly over 6600mah. Yeah flaps down lowered the airspeed, but increased the lift, which meant the motors could spool back a bit and save power to prolong the flight :) One of my friends is planning a endurance flight with his T2 using a big li-ion pack soon. I'm expecting him to smash my record :)
Hey brother..awesome flight! I maiden my T2 and really noticed that I had to provide plenty of throttle just to keep it afloat in the air. My AUW is 1851, using a 4000MAH Li-ion battery with the basic motor/prop setup. I don't have flaps setup yet until I get the servos but was wondering if I use my flaperons setup using my ailerons at 50% or less that I could achieve how you were flying. Your thought? I think it will work just want to ask for some input. Ben
Great weather for this test....Dropping the flaps a bit would help it maintain height in Cruze Mode but with less throttle...Jeez, the OSD was in full flicker, load the latest firmware....its been fixed....🤔😳😏😏😀🇬🇧
I have heard mention that the newest firmware fixes the OSD flickering issues, I've just been a bit out the loop and slow to update. I'll try get that done asap on the whole fleet. Doesn't really bother me in flight, but on playback it's horrible to look at
I like the look of this, just a pitty it doesn't support an action cam out of the box - glad of the investment HeeWing are making in the hobby however.
It's a long flight time, but it's a freaking low speed. For enjoying FPV flights the speed should about 60-70kmh in my opinion. Or it's a damn slow plane, or it's not that efficient.
Well you have 2 options really. You can fly slow and long, or fast and short. At the end the trip distance will probably be similar. Just depends on what kind of flying you like to do 😊
@@gizfpv Sorry, I don't really agree. I can fly fast and very long. For example minitalon can fly about 230km total distance at 60-70kmh. Similar size plane - much better results. You can find a proof video at youtube.
@@MightyFlights Mini talon: battery weighs approx 1700g, 432wh, 3.9g/wh. One 2820 motor 570kv, 13x7 prop. T2: battery weighs approx 670g , 95 wh, 7 g/wh. Two 2216 motors 750kv, 8x5 props. Conclusion: if the T2 is outfitted in the same way, it probably still won't match the efficiency of the mini talon, but it will be more than enough for providing the kind of "dozed-off" endurance that non-record seekers are looking for.
I believe communication between FC to VTX is not flaring too well. Likely interference, bad solder, and/or baud rate is not fast enough. Or buggy firmware on VTX.
I had this issue with iNav on my quadcopter, but it disappeared when I flashed betaflight. When the connection is bad due to a physical issue like solder or a loose pin then the entire OSD or camera feed disappears so I'm leaning toward some type of configuration issue. Checking the baud rate is a good first step. I guess electronic noise is a possibility too.
The OSD flickering is a bug in the walksnail firmware. From what I've heard it's been fixed in the latest firmware, I just haven't had chance to update it yet
I did list the exact battery and details in the video. The crucial thing is the battery weight. To balance the CG you want a battery that weights around 650g
That's a lot of flight time. By comparison, how much flight time do you get with the T1? I use a 4S 850mah pack and only get just over 5 minutes which seams short to me.
This is true, my T2 does have 4s motors, however I can't imagine that would make much difference. If anything I'd expect the 6S motors that come on the newer T2's to be even more efficent

Wow, that is really good efficiency for that size of plane!
very cool - just found your channel and really enjoy your build videos - this is an epic flight time!

Holy smokes my dude freaking awesome flight and info thanks for sharing!
Nice giving me motivation to swap my new fc and esc in my zmo vtol lol be putting it off because I didn't want to deal with the programing 😅
Impresionante amigo. que tipo de vaterias usaste?
Un saludo desde España :)
Just received my goggle X and my T2 will be in tomorrow!!! Can't wait

Impressive stuff!
Sir I challenge you to beat my flight time. Let's see what those Li-ions can do ;)

Nice! Might have to add this to the fleet. Why do your OSD fonts blink on/off like that?

what was your take-off weight, you specify only batteries but not overall weight
nice air frame - sooo expensive tho - super glitchy osd needs adjustment WTFOS has a solution for that
What kind of range can you go with this?
What battery are you using n weight of the battery ..?
I have 6S version ..So i am confused now what mAh to put in

Which motors?
Will be a T2 Kit version for sale soon?
I don't know, but I'd hope so. Heewing did a kit version of the T1 so seems likely they'll do the same with the T2

Me, using t1 3S liion 5000mah, got 60minutes of FT
A 850mah pack is very small. I use a 3000mah 4s pack on my T1. That typically gets me around 45 mins flight time
On T1 I have 16-17 min with 4S 1350 lipo, and close to 20 min with 4S 1550
😀👍
the question is your reviewing a 4s setup while heewing sell a6s
