Tactics had nothing to do with Morceli losing If he felt like a million dollars he would have paced the two laps and slowly pulled away in lap 3 I think the dude was just on a bad day
I've seen a few other races to see how top 1500m racers deal with a slow pace They will play around for 2 laps but usually a sub 55 second lap 3 is the key, it eliminates the sit and kick strategy
