Performances like this, along with the amount of touring they did, rid Bruce of his high notes and killer screams. Bruce has never screamed like this after the world slavery tour, not once. It also affected his live singing for the rest of the 80s. Luckily he still retained his vocal power.
even with him being tired af from the constant touring, you can hear it in his voice throughout the 80s but against that he still manages to do things like 5:40
A G5 is impossible? Maybe for a Bass. Most Baritones can hit that with practice and i believe every tenor can hit that note. Now do they sound as awesome as Bruce doing it? No, not in a thousand years, but the note itself isn't that special dickinson hit way higher notes himself. The verses are waaaaaaaaay more challenging and demanding than the screams

Bruce is a GOD in this concert. Ive heard the entire show (from this 🥾 leg recording). The vocals throughout this song are hard enough....but those screams??? Truly an air-raid siren!!! Good God. Up the Irons! 🤘🤘
This doing is one of their greatest ever - almost too good to be merely an opening track. It has the feel of being a bridge from early maiden to the latter more technical stuff. A song that truly has it ALL
His vocals made a full recovery in the 90s. He sounds better live from 1998-2012 than even here. He just screams more here, but The Talisman (En Vivo) proves absolutely that his technique and voice got much better. Hell, the Where Eagles Dare from Ullevi (2005) is actually a better vocal performance than this, he just doesn't do those screams.
Check out my best live Bruce Dickinson vocal performances video on my channel. Almost all of them are from 1998 onwards. His live performances got so much better as he got older. If you don't believe me check the video out and you'll see. If you can seriously watch that Talisman performance or Jerusalem with Ian Anderson and say that sounds like a "ruined" voice then you seriously have hearing issues.
Bruce being Bruce. Hahahah Harris: 'the blizzard goes onnnn' Dickinson: 'into the niiiiiight' Anyway, what a great performance! Thumbs up. Up the Irons!
I heard Udo derksnider from accept attempt to sing this and started coughing and gagging halfway through the first verse, he could sing accepts music but I think he smoked to many cigarettes and shouldn't have attempted it, they just stopped the song and played balls to the wall.
Lyrics: It's snowing outside The rumbling sound of engines roar in the night The mission is near The confident men are waiting to drop from the sky The blizzard goes on But still they must fly No one should go Where eagles dare Bavarian alps that lay all around They seem to stare from below The enemy lines a long time passed Are lying deep in the snow Into the night They fall through the sky No one should fly Where eagles dare They're closing in the fortress is near It's standing high in the sky The cable car's the only way in It's really impossible to climb They make their way But maybe too late They've got to try To save the day The panicking cries The roaring of guns are echoing all around the valley The mission complete They make to escape away from the Eagles Nest They dared to go Where no one would try They chose to fly Where eagles dare
0:35 1:33 and 5:43 ! what a fantastic compilation of high range screams! all hails to Bruce dickinson!
That's the reason that Rod Smallwood told him to stop screaming like that, because it was unnecessary and can ruin his voice
@@danielburton well thanks to that bruce was able to keep his voice for so long
Rob Halford se mata de risa

Screaming in a G5 in minute 5:40, an impossible vocal note, Bruce Dickinson, a great frontman!!!

Better than overrated Freddie
The pitch of this playback isn't 440 but yeah, very high.
@@danyjeff4447before G5 he belted F#5 (in chest voice). This is really impossible
I wish they had this concert recorded like the beast over hammersmith 82. Bruce was at his peak here.
Bruce's best performance ever. He murders every other singer here.

Best concert opener ever! Where Eagles Dare! Nicko is fucking brilliant here
If Eternity Should Fail has also been a grat opener in the last tour.
Best Maiden opener is Aces High in my opinion. And Where Eagles Dare as second as it is on the Legacy of the Beast tour is perfect
When Bruce was "The Air Raid Siren" Holy Wow!!
WORLD PIECE TOUR IS INCREDIBLE!!!
Bruce is the best EVER! He sounds amazing here!

Lyrics:
It's snowing outside
The rumbling sound of engines roar in the night
The mission is near
The confident men are waiting to drop from the sky
The blizzard goes on
But still they must fly
No one should go
Where eagles dare
Bavarian alps that lay all around
They seem to stare from below
The enemy lines a long time passed
Are lying deep in the snow
Into the night
They fall through the sky
No one should fly
Where eagles dare
They're closing in the fortress is near
It's standing high in the sky
The cable car's the only way in
It's really impossible to climb
They make their way
But maybe too late
They've got to try
To save the day
The panicking cries
The roaring of guns are echoing all around the valley
The mission complete
They make to escape away from the Eagles Nest
They dared to go
Where no one would try
They chose to fly
Where eagles dare
