    I have #642 in the States. Mine does the irritating first start fail, particularly when its cooler on a cold start. Been in shop 4 times. Last time 3 months. Although it still did it very next day, dealer, who worked extensively with Triumph engineers, indicated that it was caused by a clogged breather in the fuel tank. Something about a device intended to equalize pressure between tank and fuel pump to mitigate negative pressure on the intake side of the fuel pump. Cause? Engineer surmises that over filling tank introduces fuel into the breather, causing it to get wet and collect dust that gets gunky that begins to clog and restrict airflow causing negative pressure behind pump that gets cleared for the second attempt at starting. Advice? Stop filling tank to brim. Great video by the way. No regrets buying TFC, beautiful in every way. A smile every time I look at her.

      Thanks for that! Great comment! I took mine in about it too to a Triumph dealership and they didn't have any ideas. I wondered if it was a weak battery charge that wasn't generating a spark on the first attempt until the alternator gave it a boost on the first turnover (I'm no engineer by the way!) They told me if it persists then they'll have a better look. It has persisted but it hasn't taken anything away from my enjoyment of the bike so I haven't bothered! Love the bike! The sound of that twin is so nice! This was an early vlog of mine (as they all are so far) so the audio wasn't what I hoped but I have that figured out now. Next video is on Wednesday, a vlog/tour of central London...on the TFC of course! Thanks for supporting the channel!

    Love my #083 .. the TFC's ( all 3) are the only ones still built in the UK, they also use aluminum lower frame rails. The front brake is a Brembo M50 not a Stylema, rear brake is not a Brembo Single 220mm disc, Nissin 2-piston floating caliper

      Good knowledge! Thanks for watching. I’ll annotate the video with the brake spec. Love this bike though, a work of art!

      Thank you Gabriel! I’ve been working on a film production that has taken up all of my time for a while now so I haven’t had any new content up but I will be coming back to it very soon!

    Nice bike, I have a Thruxton R which I love. Glad you made it back in one piece, I wouldn't ride mine in that weather, especially that last road.
    You're right about the rarity, I've yet to see one outside of a showroom , unfortunately I've chosen the most popular (and best) colour for mine silver ice, so I've bumped into quite a few similar bike's.
    My only complaint about the video is the camera view, what is it with these weird go pro mount's that seem to be all the rage, make me queezy, what's wrong with just a plain forward facing POV camera, maybe its just my age.

    • @TheBikeChannel
      @TheBikeChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most popular colours are popular because they’re the best ones!
      Yeah, the back roads there were pretty nasty and the Racetec RRs are only a few bits of tread away from slicks!
      I’m a newbie to TH-cam so I’m still working on cameras and editing. I’m moving towards a fixed camera as the primary and this 360 degree one to plug the gaps.
      Thanks for watching the video all the way through! More content on the way!

    Damn, I was looking forward to the review of this bike but I had to cut it off. All day at work I have to strain to here people barely audible as they insist on speaking with their cell phones on speaker, this sounds the same. Catch you on a future review if I can hear it.

      Hey! Yea, new to TH-cam and I struggled to get the audio right in terms of microphone placement in my early videos. Only just got it right in my most recent video.
      I have a much clearer in depth review which is much more all encompassing where I look at it in the garage. Audio is spot on too. Here’s the link:

      @@richardwanamaker9080 sorry Richard, it was an early video of mine where I hadn’t figured out how to capture clear audio. I am redoing this review. I have a walk-around/talk-through video on the channel which is far better and I’ll get this one redone and up soon.

      Hi @hockeymann88 and @RichardWanamaker, I’ve redone a review of the Thruxton TFC with the new audio...having learnt how to capture clear audio since this video! Have a look and let me know what you think:

      Always nice to hear from other TFC owners! Great bike! To make so many changes; aesthetics, components, internals and externals for such a low number of bikes is amazing.
