Save Power... Use Outlet Switches

A simple way to reduce "Phantom Loads" (devices that draw power even when off) in to unplug the device completely from a power outlet. In the old days, the power switch removed ALL power from a device. But in the 80's, more and more devices stated to have internal clocks and remote power control. Such devices are never fully off (unless unplugged) so that functions are available at all times. Some manufactures didn't even try to reduce the power consumption when in the "Off state, so the "Energy Star" effort was created to give such a rating to devices that used the minimal amount of power when off.
