I’ve just watched your video with great interest. There’s a good chance that I may have machined that actual gun myself. Yes great care was taken on polishing machine marks. The top of the slide was ground using a formed diamond wheel. John Slough was a really nice guy to work for, an absolute pleasure.

That was most interesting. I remember the original Spitfire coming out, but never even got to see one before the Great British Handgun Confiscations.
This particular model seems particularly intriguing. The compact size makes one think of it as a useful carry gun. I have the impression that it has the weight to stop it being too bouncy in combat use.
The two-stage trigger might train in to be a useful form in rapid fire, cutting down on snatch and push, though I admit I am a bit out of date on these matters.
The name is Spitfire, it looks like a beauty, and if it functioned well, the piece should have sold to manly British males. Their ladies, too, would have fancied it as a handbag gun. Sigh.

Probably inteded for WA1500, hence the target format. Just guessing though...

The target sights are probably for importation to the US

@@sxs2950 interestingly enough, I can't seem to find a full size model, only this compact version, with the occasional sport model with a compensator.... As far as I understand there was no CCW in the UK (even when they had pistols), so I wonder what was the initial plan behind this gun.... Far too nice to be a police duty weapon that's for sure

I would like to ask if the safety is positive like the sphinx 2000p? Most CZ's and CZ clones that I come a cross have a very soft safety and so far the sphinx and the phoenix are the only variants that don't have that issue.

The safety does have a positive click. I know what you mean about the "soft safety" and I do find that in some 75's, SP01's and especially the TS's. Surprisingly, the 75 short rail in the video had a very firm positive click, more than the Spitfire. Perhaps the safety spring in the 75 is not very strong and it weakens quickly with use. Thanks for watching.

@@sxs2950 I would really like to see a video comparison between the Spitfire, Sphinx and other clones.

@@devidishaya I'll do it if I can find one and borrow it. Thanks for watching.
