Sri Lanka is enhancing security and travel efficiency at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with advanced biometric technology. Facial recognition systems have been installed in collaboration with the police, and in the coming weeks, BIA will implement mandatory biometric verification for all passengers, including fingerprint and photograph scans. This initiative, led by Harsha Ilukpitiya, Controller General of the Immigration and Emigration Department, aims to ensure accurate identification and strengthen overall airport security. Additionally, groundwork for issuing e-passports has been completed, with procurement currently underway.

Electronic face and finger print identification I noticed in Malaysia immigration year 2016. For me we have to encourage investors with tax free at least 10 years. Changers are good at the same time government employees come on duty on time and effectively work. Government increase their salaries and pay more benefits at the same time 😢 decipline .
