Perfect. A few years ago i was seeking the truth. I was asking my fellow Christians these questions and the only response i got was "just the fact that you are asking means you're saved". I thought that was a horrible answer. I kept seeking and then one day when i was listening to a sermon, God convicted my heart, opened my eyes and ears to hear the truth, and I was born again. I'm so glad I kept seeking. I rest in the perfect work of Jesus Christ and not my own works. My life changed forever. Thank you, Jesus.
I always have found it crazy that our brothers and sisters will get crazy over this topic. Paul told us not to argue, but some people just must be right! When non-Christians see and hear this, they run the other way.
Ok Reality is once saved always saved is actually a joke by atheist! Reality is even John the Baptist shouted to his followers that even though he walked in Christ he sinned daily and repented every day, so don't bet your eternity your salvation on the property wolfpack or the howling of others pretending to know what they are taking about or leaders who see themselves as as righteous before God
really?? you believe in Christ's perfect work, and that is why you rest? don't you no longer fight against sin? - why are you contradicting Scripture, which says that you will be judged according to your WORKS? because your very very strong conviction cannot revoke the clear teaching of God's word...
Glory to God for his divine intervention in the cross through His Son Jesus Christ. I thank God for you pastor Chad. Such a crucial understanding on salvation.
Dear brother, it's been a while since I commented. So great to hear God's wisdom through you. Law and gospel. So much life and wisdom contained there. Thank you as always and God's peace to you.
Hebrews 10:26,27 hit me like a ton of bricks the other day, which you used in this video. I do struggle with a sin I find habitual, and every time I do succumb to it , I feel like I have run my "account" empty with God's grace. Thank you, Chad, for this excellent video that has helped me!
If you’re in continuous sin , you’ll not inherit eternal life. Don’t be deceived, the sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom of God. Jesus said, Go and sin no more. I suggest you do just that!

@dh1335 There is a difference between a Christian who honestly struggles with certain sins and inwardly hates their sin(Romams 7) and that of someone who unrepentantly or with a high hand sins against God and rejects the salvation He offers(Hebrews 6:4-6 and 10:26-31). Phillipians 2:12 "Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling."
Vs 12 and 13 of Philippians 2 are one sentence and are speaking to saved individuals, i.e. for it is God who is at work in you...vs 13 Here the "work out your own salvation" refers to letting one's salvation work in making them whole so it is apparent to others.
This is so typical of not finishing the thought because the next verse is saying for For it is God who is working in you to do and to will of his purpose.
@savedwretch8711 Context is so important, great point. It's a major key to biblical interpretation. The oldest Greek NT writings and Hebrew OT had no punctuation. It was all added by translators at their discretion later.
Amen brother Bird! You hit on so many important points and supported them all with Scripture. Thank you for your clarity and encouragement on this issue. We can approach the throne of grace with confidence, and on the flip side, we must always self-reflect with sober judgment (Rom. 12:3). In this, we realize that we do not *identify* merely as sinners, but rather as God's adopted children who have been (and are still being) saved by His grace. That doesn't mean we do not sin, but rather that through faith and repentance, the blood of Jesus is continually being applied to us through His Spirit working within us. Sin no longer has reign over us unless we willingly reject Him and fall away.
Very clear, eloquent, gracious answer to this question. We have enough to worry about without being anxious about losing our salvation. Praise God that nothing can snatch us away and that we can be forgiven for wandering.
We have to know that when we are saved we do not want to wander. We will want to live according to how God wants us to live which is by His commands. We have to repent of our sins if we do wander because His desires are what are on our hearts and in our minds.
@@lindsaymoore3534 Being saved does not make us immune to temptation, to incorrect discernment, to incorrect interpretation and to just plain screwing up. Wandering away is part of being human.

Was just thinking about this today. Infact I read a scripture that agrees with what you described as, "Can we reject salvation?" 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. There is a caveat put on being saved by the Gospel ie "if you hold Fast to that word which I preached..." consistent with the seed that fell on the Rocky ground in the parable of the sower.
This is a very good message. Thank you so much for having it and you don’t want to die and face the Lord and him say I never knew you that would be terrible.

Philippians 3:13-14 He was born again but as yet strived for salvation
Kinda surprised with all his directness that he dodged the question "Can I lose my salvation?" That's a legitimate question with the definite answer, "no." If you have eternal life it cannot end or be lost. Reframing the question to whether salvation has me, doesn't change that. Neither does the different question, "Can I reject that salvation." He seems to say "yes" to the question "can i lose it" by pointing out that people reject it, but the classical answer to the rejection question is that they never had it (and rejected it), not that they had it for a little while and then rejected it. Dead faith that bears no fruit was never saving faith to begin with. I'm just surprised that he swung so close to that answer and missed it. What does "once saved" mean? Either one is saved and has eternal life or they are in need of saving. Either you're credited as righteous by believing that Jesus became a curse for you, or you bear the curse for yourself. It's either or, grace as a gift for eternal life or else the wages of sin is death. So no, you cannot lose a credit God has gifted you by grace and promise. God never breaks his promises. That's the whole gist of Galatians. Those severed are those trusting not in Christ, but in the law, a very different kind of faith, and a different "gospel."
"Either one is saved and has eternal life or they are in need of saving." Great phrasing there, indeed. It seems the question really boils down to " *Actually* saved, yes or no? "

Sure He did......all of them, past, present and future. I guess some can't believe grace will actually save them, they have to try and work for it.
We can't become unborn physically but we can die physically. We can die spiritually also. Paul even said in Romans 8 that if ye live after/according to the flesh, ye shall die. He wasn't talking about physical death. Paul died a physical death. He didn't live according to the flesh.
@bobbyadkins6983 One must read Rom 8:1:18 in the greater context including Rom 7:14 up to Rom 8. There we see Paul is NOT contrasting Christians and non-Christians, but Christians with other Christians. In Rom. 7:14, Paul does indeed say...."but I am of the flesh, sold as a slave under sin". He is talking about His own inner struggles with his flesh. , "but I am of the flesh" or as many foot notes say "unspiritual" "What I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate I do". Paul continues the thought about the battle we face in the flesh and contrasts the 2 ways we can live, from the spirit or from the flesh. It's not about losing one's salvation. 2 Cor. 5:5 says we are given the spirit as a guarantee or down payment. Once saved always saved brother. Did Christ die for your sins or not? @@garyp.9073 You must read whatever you think supports once saved always saved in the greater context. The Galatians had fallen from grace because they were bewitched into believing a different gospel.
@@bobbyadkins6983 many of these scriptures are taken way out of context. To fall from grace does not mean “you lost your salvation”. To fall from grace is to reject the grace of the cross after having received it. Romans 7 and 8 is about the internal struggle of the flesh vs the Spirit of God. Galatians is written to people who were being deceived into keeping the law as requirement to being saved. The book of Hebrews was written to the Jews that were going back to animal sacrifice after accepting the Gospel, which was extremely disrespectful to the blood of Jesus. None of those books, when read in their context, teach us that we can lose our salvation.
@@scottyhamilton3999 According to Merriam-Webster, belief is “a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing.” Belief is a state of mind and does not motivate us to act. So faith would include loyalty because it determines how we act (that is what loyalty does as well). So it's safe to say believe and have faith are all that's required for staying in the faith. Back the Heiser's quote... staying in the faith is the same as obeying the Gospel through faith. So staying in the faith will cause someone to be forever saved. Great video. I heard an old Billy Graham sermon where he said something to the effect of; When you first take part in spirits of the flesh it feels good. It’s so tempting. And then it slowly hardens you to the whispers of the Holy Spirt.
The Hebrews 6 passage, as I read it, perfectly supports what you're talking about. It's a hypothetical, illustrating what the author was talking about regarding not laying again the foundation of repentance, of faith, or baptism, etc. He's talking to people who think they can yo-yo into and out of grace based on their behavior. And he's saying "No, it doesn't work like that. If you could fall away, there would be no coming back, because you that would mean Christ would need to die again, which is impossible." Implication being that someone truly saved cannot lose that salvation. The author of Hebrews is saying quit worrying about that, and move on into discipleship.
"There is the possibility of believing and then falling away". Is this correctly quoted? Anyone can believe and then change their mind. Giving its life to God, being born again, is more than believing and it is irreversible. 💞
One interesting question is “how many sins do we have to commit to lose our salvation?” From the vantage point of the cross, all our sins yesterday, today and tomorrow were in the future so the answer would be “none!” But for those who keep on sinning because they believe they have a “heavenly insurance policy”, the question would be if they were ever converted in the first place.
The question could be ,do we loose our freewill to choose when we get saved ? If we do the we can have our cake and ear it to . Or will God let us walk away ?
I got saved and i have trouble stopping all my sins. Like cussing and occasionally thinking bad thoughts like hatred or something towards people and I pray immediately for forgiveness and guidance and wisdom but I am starting to feel like God is going to reject me just for constantly having to come and apologize for stuff.
Thank you for sharing. Pls know that bad thoughts are not “us”, but the adversary tempting us. They become a sin we we accept and ponder or take action on the sin. I too cussed way too much and I have just in the passes year turned to the Holy Spirit and am catching myself before I do (most the time). But it’s getting much better. May God bless us as we walk in His Grace to purify us as we turn from sins and focus on His Holy Lamb 🙏🏼
Very well put and exactly my thoughts on this issue. There is purposeful tension on each end of the spectrum to keep us on the right path, the straight and narrow, if you will.
in Acts 2:38 repent is a transitive verb it demands an object( it asks the question repent of what) .The object in this vs. is not sin. It is Jesus Christ. Most get this wrong , It is a change of mind about Christ that saves , no sin. Acts 16 :31 makes this clear ..Here is a break down in the greek of the two verbs that tell the story about how to be saved. Dennis Bonny Jaconetta Jaconetta I like this vs. so much because it is so explicit in it's message... I will attempt to break it down in regard to it's verbs..from the original Greek text...The vs. says ,Believe on the lord Jesus Christ ,and thou shalt be saved....Believe is the main verb...it is a aorist active ,imperative of the greek verb Pistos ,to believe. The aorist tense is a point of time that you believe. This is a special aorist tense that takes this point of time and perpetuates it into infinity..The active voice ,the subject ,produces the action of the verb, you believe. The imperative mood is a command. Saved is sozo, a future passive participle .A participle is an auxiliary verb that supports the main verb..The future tense show a completed action the moment you believe . The passive voice unlike the active voice ,says the subject (the one believing in Christ)receives the action of the verb rather than producing this action...In this case he receives salvation. So based on the original text The vs.is more accurately translated. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and at that moment ,you are saved for ever and ever.. Notice repentance is not mention because a spiritual dead person is not capable of doing anything to save himself.
Was David saved when he killed Goliath? Did he lose his salvation by committing adultery and getting Uriah killed? The question of David's salvation doesn't come up. His salvation was secure in God. A person who is saved wants to be saved, if you do not want to be saved, you are not and you never were. When we face God we will not be surprised. If you believe in Christ, you are trusting in Him for your life and He does not let us down but if you think ' i once trusted Christ but i do not now', you will get what you want and you will not be surprised. Believers will fail, as did David but God never failed David
The people in Matthew 7:22-24 sound surprised to me 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
@@susansitkauskas7263amen! If we are not new creatures in Christ (turned from our sin), we are not “saved”. Our good works are the fruit of salvation, not the cause of it.

I can see where some of these scriptures can be taken out of context, but if I can mess my salvation up, then Christs sacrifice wasn't enough to save us from sin and satisfy God's wrath of sending us all to hell. Jesus would have to continuously die repeatedly over and over again in an endless time loop and we all would be headed to a devil's hell. None of us are good enough to be saved but through grace by faith we are made worthy because of him. I couldn't save myself and had to rely on him to save me therefore I can't undo what he has already done. It's not a free pass to live however we want and that is a stigma that fallen from Grace believers say that people that believe in eternal security believe and that's false. Two more points-Paul was writing to the Galatians because of their observance of the law. This was something that Christs sacrifice had fulfilled. When he says ye have fallen from Grace he is not talking about salvation. He is saying that their observance of the law is making the grace way and Christs sacrifice of no effect. (Gal 5:3-4). Romans 8 shuts down fallen from grace doctrine. We are joint-heirs with christ. We get eternal life through Christ and his saving power. It is the free gift of salvation. An inheritance is a free gift. God doesn't take that away. The parable of the seed among the rocks is taken out of context. I can believe something but everyone forgets about faith. Believing in something and having faith are two different things. I have always believed in God but never had enough faith to serve him till I surrendered to him and let him save me. Lastly, 1 Cor 5:5 shouldn't be ignored.....
Its funny how we say Christ's death wasn't enough if I have the choice to reject it. Meanwhile, we think it's fine that God chose the vast majority to be reprobate, where Christ's death wasn't enough to reach them... Salvation is a rescue, not a resuscitation. We are all floating in the water, and God throws us an inner tube. Those who grab hold will be saved. Those who say, no, I am pleased in sin, will not be saved. Now those being saved of course can let go of the safety ring. They can say never mind I'd rather live for this life, and not the next. We are free moral agents, and God will never force Himself on anyone that doesn't have a desire for Him. There is a nasty word for that forced love, and we can never ascribe that to a Holy God. Choose you this day whom you will serve. Inherent in that command is the ability to change your mind tomorrow. The one who endures to the end will be saved. God bless.
To your one point, the Bible also specifically says you cannot recrucify Jesus again and again once you fall away. So you are right that it would mean He would need to be crucified 'continuously'. But God specifically says it is impossible for then to be restored "because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame." Instead, they are lost, having once known salvation and then turning away to their flesh again.
@@RezG_777 So Heb 6 is very often used to try to prove fallen from Grace doctrine but is taken far out of context. It actually says the opposite. We need to remember Paul begins this scripture by reminding the Hebrews to not leave the principals and doctrines of christ. Here we have folks that were new converts and we have folks that were apostates/religious folks in their own beliefs. This is a very similar situation that Jesus was often presented with when going against the Pharisees and Saducees. The definition of an apostate is someone who rejects a religious or political belief. Those that were fallen away were the religious folks here that were never converted to begin with. Everyone who believes in fallen from grace ignores that Heb 6:4-6 says "[4] For it is IMPOSSIBLE for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [5] and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [6] if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. They are creating shame to the crucificxion of Jesus christ and his sacrifice by rejecting the principles of Jesus Christ and what his sacrifice was for. I can be enlightened or aware of many things but it doesn't mean that I believe it by faith. Paul said For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened talking about again, the religious apostates who won't deny themselves and take up the cross and follow Jesus.. Again, you either have it or you don't, but religion won't get you to heaven. You have to be saved by the grace of God. One last point I will make, we need to remember that if you are saved we are sinners saved by grace. Grace is undeserved favor. None of us are good enough to be saved and truthfully we deserve hell. But because of Gods longsuffering and mercy, and favor, he paved a way of escape from sin through his son's sacrifice. I couldn't save myself therefore I can't undo something he has already done or God is an imperfect God.
The Lord revealed to me many years ago that I belong to Him forever. When I gave my life to Jesus, He gave me a new heart and a new spirit. I was forever changed. I've gone through periods where I lived in sin. I'm indeed far from perfect. Even at my worst Jesus never gave up on me. He never left me. It was inevitable that I would return to the straight and narrow. Why should I ever fear the flames of Hell?

@@garretdale1506 God is all-knowing; He knew everything from beginning to end even before creation. Yet, He gave us free will, and it was through this free will that humanity chose to reject Him, bringing sin into the world. The death of Jesus Christ brought redemption, extending God’s grace to us through faith in Him. Just as God never forced us to love and obey Him, He still doesn’t today. We continue to have the free will to accept or reject Him. This is why the doctrine of “once saved, always saved” is misleading and dangerous-it can lead many to complacency and, ultimately, to hell. Although God knows who will or will not enter heaven, we do not have that knowledge. This is why it’s crucial for us to remain vigilant and spiritually prepared. While I prefer to discuss these points from a common sense perspective, I’m happy to provide scriptural references if you’re interested.
@JamesKonie what did Jesus say in John chapter 3, you need to be reborn to enter the kingdom of heaven so not everyone will be saved. But when you are saved God will seal you with the Holy Spirit and change your heart so that you won't want to sin and will begin to respect God's moral laws. But don't think it's a free ticket to sin because it is not and God will punish you. He knows everything about us and He knows exactly how to deal with us.
So? No answer. Answered both ways. I mean no disrespect to anyone, especially this pastor. He at least tried to answer the question. The once saved always saved belief is very dangerous speaking from my personal experience. I went to the altar as a young man, confessed my sins, my life from that point on had shown NO change, I was still of the world. People will say, "then you really didn't mean it!" First, how do you know, second I was truly of the repentant heart and do/did believe in Christ and what He did for me, so yes! I meant it. The problem was, I believed "once I was saved, I was always saved!" That thought came from the world AKA the devil, saying or making me believe God was a folksy old grandpa, setting on His front porch, waiting on me to come home now that I had made my confession, no matter how I behaved, and let me say,"NONE of that was true." God will not be mocked and He will NOT be reduced to our level of humanity and have our thoughts/feelings. God is Sovereign, He is HOLY/PURE/Unblemished/True/Perfect in every way, I could go on but the point is He is NOTHING like anything we have ever seen. Just be careful believing that once you've repented and ask Christ into your heart that you don't forget He is there, and that the Father is actually perfect and the WE as Christians are supposed to "Be ye perfect" or at least strive too even though we know we can't. Our works doesn't get us to the Father, Jesus did that, but our works separates us from the rest of the world we are to be shown as NOT OF THE WORLD. Remember, be in the world... not of the world. The idea of once saved always saved can give you the false confidence that you can do as you please..... if you're a Follower of Jesus Christ, you can't! Thats just my take on this subject.
The answer is clear. What matters is whether you’re proclaiming law or Gospel. Can you fall away? Yes. That’s the law. Does God keep his people in salvation? Yes. That’s the Gospel. We live in the dual reality of both of these words from God. Far from “no answer,” this is God’s consistent answer, OT and NT.
@chadbird1517 Well, yes, it's the same circular conversation and "answers" that all these folks throw around. I am not being disrespectful (please don't take it like that), but I have heard these and more. I am just tired of this and should have kept my thumbs to themselves, but I am too dumb to do that. It seems that the denominations are the people fighting/arguing, and it's worn out. I apologize if I seemed ugly. That wasn't my intention. This topic drives me nutz! 😄 Love you and what you do here! Thanks
He said "Salvation can't lose us, but we can reject it" But, if we have salvation and it can't lose us, how can one reject it after being saved since salvation can't lose us? They are mutually exclusive and an absurdity. Don't see how that is clear, balanced, logical and above all scriptural and certainly not helpful to clear up this issue in Christendom.
"On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’" Matt. 7:22-23. "I never knew you," not "I knew you for awhile, but you fell away."
“I never knew you” is referring to the fact that the person didn’t have a genuine relationship with Christ, as Jesus follows this by saying… “you workers of lawlessness”. These were people who called Him Lord with their mouths but didn’t live a life faithful to Christ. This is further proved within the context earlier in the chapter. The verses right before are talking about the fruits… “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” So the context here is clearly about a person’s ACTIONS. Jesus didn’t know them because they produced no fruit
@@GracefulCosmos Yes, they were not saved. But this still doesn’t support the once saved always saved idea. That’s what I was attempting to explain. This passage is specifically addressing hypocrisy, calling God Lord but not making Him your actual Master. That’s the case here but it’s not the same for everyone. There will be people who forfeit their salvation, who knew Christ but decided to leave Him. They are just not the ones being spoken about here.
The answer to the question is found in the sacred scriptures. "The wages of sins is death." (Romans 6:23). Can or have those who have been saved, sin and leave this world in sin? Can or have those who have been saved, sin and be separated from the eternal God?
The key phrase in John 10:27 is “they follow me”. They that FOLLOW Christ are secure. If you decide to walk away from him then you forfeit your own salvation. You disconnect from the vine, you decide to not REMAIN in Him by your own free will.
@@LSUTigerbait OSAS means you can willfully sin and be okay. That is not Biblical otherwise Christ’s own words are lies. Believing is an active state of obeying the teaching of Christ, and a person can stop believing according to the scriptures: Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Spoken by Christ) James 2 - works are required to prove faith. We are not saved by works, but if no works, our faith is dead and we are not working as Christ worked. Col 1:23 “if indeed you continue in the faith” (why the “if”) Rev 3:3-5 - verse 3 talks about how they need to repent, and these are believers. Verse 5 says those who overcome will be clothed in white (saved). Romans 11:22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
Paul’s main message to the church in Galatia was that obedience to the Mosaic Law cannot save anyone; salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. He emphasized this point repeatedly in his letter to the Galatians to counter the false teaching that Gentile Christians needed to follow Jewish laws to be saved. For example, in Galatians 2:16, Paul writes, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ… for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Paul contrasts the works of the law with faith in Jesus. Faith is not just intellectual assent but involves a deep trust and commitment to Christ. James 2:17 reminds us that “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead,” which means true faith manifests in obedience to God’s will. In other words, believing in Jesus is inseparable from obeying His teachings. The concept of “faith in Jesus” means trusting Him completely for our salvation and submitting to His lordship. When we place our faith in Jesus, we are declaring our trust in His sacrificial death and resurrection as the only means of reconciliation with God. However, this faith must be maintained and lived out continually. As Paul warns in Colossians 1:23, we are to continue “in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel.” If we turn away from this faith-essentially losing our trust and commitment to Jesus-then we risk forfeiting our salvation. The idea that “once saved, always saved” is misleading because it suggests that our initial act of faith is all that matters, regardless of how we live afterward. However, Jesus Himself cautions against this false security in Matthew 7:21-23, saying, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven… I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is a dynamic relationship with Jesus that must be maintained through faith and obedience. Therefore, it’s essential to continue in faith, remain vigilant, and obey God’s will, as only those who persevere in faith until the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13).
I think a lot of people confuse the more modern-day doctrine of OSAS with the very Biblical perseverance of God's elect in faith and repentance till the end. Only God knows who His elect are and we on this side of eternity with our finite knowledge cannot know for sure who these are
Hi thank you for your channel. Love your videos and praise God for the wisdom he’s given to you. In light of Ephesians 1:13-14 :When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory … if someone were to fall away and lose their salvation, wouldn’t that mean they were never in the spirit in the first place? Since salvation is complete? Thank you!
The diabolical deceptions of faith alone, scripture alone, and once saved always saved, destroys holy fear. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is prudence. Proverbs 9:10 This IS my body. So the Church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was built up; and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit it was multiplied Acts 9:31 Matthew 10:28 - "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of God who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Luke 12:5 - "But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." Acts 10:34-35 - "Then Peter began to speak: 'I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.'" Romans 3:18 - "There is no fear of God before their eyes.'" Corinthians 5:11 - "Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience." 2 Corinthians 7:1 - "Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." Ephesians 5:21 - "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." Philippians 2:12-13 - "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed-not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence-continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." 1 Peter 1:17 - "Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear." Revelation 14:7 - "He said in a loud voice, 'Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.'" Hebrews 13:17 Obey your prelates, and be subject to them. For they watch as being to render an account of your souls; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief. For this is not expedient for you.
I am homeless in rural S.E.Oklahoma. I don't drive. I have gotten to this point because of my sins. I became a Christian some years ago then became carnal. Paul takes about the natural man, the carnal man and the Spiritual man. I sin, I ask forgiveness, I sin again. I need help Jesus and I need help from people. There are no shelters or help here. Please pray for me. Please help me.
Hi Chad, in Hebrews, Paul address the Jews, and warning them of their deliberate act of rejecting Jesus and go after the temple sacrifices, Hence he says if they sin deliberately, there would be no other way for salavation and one thing is more clear that no righteous act of mine will save me,rather than his righteousness. God is asking us to walk in his ways planned for me before the foundation of the world, and obtain his reward when Jesus returns..amen
I fear i will not endure until the end, that something will happen in this crazy world and i will fall away out of fear. Can anyone help me overcome this?
If you have ever believed that Jesus Christ died for you sins and was risen again. That's it. You have salvation. Nothing you or anybody else could do would take that away from you.
Great message. Thank you. It’s worth noting, or vitally important to note, that not all Christian denominations believe in eternal security. As I understand it, most bracingly explained in Hebrews 10:26-39, is if people wantonly sin without REPENTANCE, they are subject to God’s wrath. Repentance is not just feeling bad. It’s confession, godly sorrow, and a willingness to turn away from the sin and be changed. However vilified, the Catholic Church-oldest and largest sect-believes in eternally mortal sin, though they too, have watered it down a lot. Sin matters to God. And if we knowingly flout the law, we are making a mockery of Christ (v29). It makes sense to me, too. We want to get this right, especially given the casual state of the church, especially the American church.
I’m not sure why people tend to think the American church is in worse state than any other. There is crazy doctrine in the UK, the Netherlands, Asia, Africa…it’s a human issue.
@@tagladyify Of the countries and continents you listed, the US is by far the wealthiest, with the larges number of Christians, and the most mega-churches. Money, property, power, and influence are corrosive forces at odds with biblical Christianity that undermine doctrinal integrity in the pulpit. Churches become businesses with economic imperatives, constituents to attract, retain, please and to not displease...for all the wrong reasons. God, have mercy.
I always find your teachings refreshing and enlightening. God bless you. I still find it hard to believe that people will see all the warnings in the Bible and still think we are one and done. While God is sovereign in His ways and doings, I don’t believe He will hold us to himself when we outrightly reject Him. And the argument that ‘they went out of us because they were never of us’ being put forward by people who hold to this once saved always saved is just circular.
I really like this lesson. I’m currently reading Ezekiel chapter 18 verses 21 through 24 and God directly addresses this topic. I posted on it saying we could lose our salvation but I didn’t phrase in terms of people rejecting Jesus. I just discussed if we keep living in sin (wicked) then we would lose our salvation. Thank you for clearing this up.
Good point. I think you are asking the right question. If the Holy Spirit is given to a believer at a definite point in time, then unbelief, not just doubt or disobedience, will cause the Holy Spirit to withdraw. Forgive me for not looking up the passage where David asked that God would not "take your Spirit from me", but even though he did not have the capacity to have the indwelling Holy Spirit of God, it seems that that same Spirit is always the key to life and eventually...eternal life.
I have never met a Christian who has said "I'm good, I can do whatever I want " and then proceeded to do whatever they wanted Has anyone here ever met a believer that has this as their philosophy of life? It's frequently purported to be the case, but Wondering if it is? Seems more frequently that being in a period of disobedience that Christian ends up in self-condemnation and questioning their salvation. Such a blessing to finally realize that Christ paid the price for sin... ALL sin including that which is in the future. Such a blessing. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. We are called to believe in Him. That is what scripture says about salvation. It seems the verses you refer to are addressing falling away from walking with Christ rather losing salvation. It must be once saved always saved no matter what or no one can ever have assurance because we all fall short daily, weekly monthly or for years sometimes.
I commonly hear this logic in defense of eternal security. Both sides agree that works cannot save you nor can they necessarily take away your salvation. The fulcrum of the argument is whether a person can choose to walk away. The canned answer when some walks away is usually "They probably weren't saved to begin with". I see this as a scape-goat answer because then you must redefine the word "apostacy". There are believers who de-construct as they get caught up in the world and I wonder what happens then? Will God bring them into heaven even if they rejected him? I admit, I am on the fence about this one. The Bible seems to leave the door open as a warning to stay close.
Once saved always saved is false teaching. From old testament to new testament there are people who were believed GOD and fall away. Now there are many church founders, priests, preachers or pastors who were deceived by MONEY, who were deceived by beautiful women and many evil things happened.
I definitely agree with you. Gods judgment doesn't always mean Hell. In that same book of Hebrews it talks of God chastening his children. And in Chapter 6 if we do fall away we lose the things that ACCOMPANY SALVATION like assurance, joy of being a child of God, peace no matter your circumstances, joy in spreading the Gospel, those are heavenly riches that the believer enjoys. All of our good works will not be forgotten and will be rewarded. Hebrews 6:9-10 (KJV) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Thank you for this video. I ask this question often because I am worried about my adult daughter . She was baptized as an infant and raised in the faith. At one time she professed faith in God. Now, she no longer believes and considers herself an atheist. I want to believe in once saved always saved because I don’t want her to be lost for eternity and yet I know the Bible teaches otherwise. Could you direct me with help on this reason for asking the question of once saved always saved?
The problem is, that no apostles has ever addressed the situation that one who is saved will think he can go on sinning because he has eternal salvation. It has never been addressed because no individual who is actually saved can think such a thing due to the Holy Spirit bringing them to salvation. Paul did mentioned should we keep sinning due to grace in Romans 6 but losing your salvation was not mentioned there because losing your salvation was not even thought of… no saved person will ever think of living in sin because they are eternally secure. Only a depraved mind would entertain that thought. Since people’s opinion of the Holy Spirit and the power of the cross is weak, and because they hold an erroneous concept of how one comes to be saved, they struggle with the concept of eternal salvation
Brother, you speak the Truth! One saved always saved is just one of many lies implanted into the church over the passed 2000 years. And there are many. False prophets abound, but as you said, Jesus' flock know His Voice and hear His Whisper.
I believe in Jesus Christ, and I know it’s hard to keep the commandments he gave us, I pray for the armor of God and to be washed with his blood everyday, my flesh is weak, I struggle w some anger from time to time not always, I do lie from time to time and I catch my self doing it because the Holy Spirit convict me and I do ask for forgiveness, I read my Bible not every day but I do read it, the King James Bible. I hate Sin but it’s in my flesh, but I do believe that Jesus it’s working on me, and the Holy Spirit lives within me. Jesus is good. I’m not perfect at all and I do acknowledge that I’m a sinner. I try to crucified my flesh daily. I hate these world and I feel that I don’t belong here. I know that he’s coming soon, I see what’s going on in these world, and I believe w all my heart that we’re in the birth pain that Jesus mentioned in the Bible. I await for the rapture. I do tell other about Jesus, but most ppl don’t care, because they don’t believe, so I pray for they’re salvation, because I feel that’s all I can do. Thank you for these great explanation on these video. God bless you.

Phillipians 2:12
"Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling."
Vs 12 and 13 of Philippians 2 are one sentence and are speaking to saved individuals, i.e. for it is God who is at work in you...vs 13
Here the "work out your own salvation" refers to letting one's salvation work in making them whole so it is apparent to others.

Amazing video! Thank you so much for this teaching. I can’t wait to share with others.
This is a very powerful teaching of teaching on salvation .

3:23 is the critical question. Well put!
Was just thinking about this today. Infact I read a scripture that agrees with what you described as, "Can we reject salvation?"
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain.

He was born again but as yet strived for salvation
"Either one is saved and has eternal life or they are in need of saving."
Great phrasing there, indeed.
It seems the question really boils down to
" *Actually* saved, yes or no? "

How can someonne choose to be unborn? It is impossible🤷♂️
Rom 8:39 says that even not the things created can change our position. And you are created, and secure
Amen, we are new creations, no going back, saved by grace thru faith, not of works and this not of yourselves it is the gift of God.
Did Christ die for our sins or not? Sure He did......all of them, past, present and future.
I guess some can't believe grace will actually save them, they have to try and work for it.
We can't become unborn physically but we can die physically. We can die spiritually also. Paul even said in Romans 8 that if ye live after/according to the flesh,
ye shall die.
Sure he did and we can't add anything to it or keep it by our works.
Shalom
Just recently became aware of your ministry, really enjoying it. Thank you Brother.
Like Dr. Hesier puts it. Those who stay in the faith and obey the gospel through belief will forever be saved.
Good point. What does obeying the Gospel consist of?
@@clockchaser Belief, faith and loyalty to that belief and faith. Believing in Jesus and what he has done for us.
@@scottyhamilton3999 According to Merriam-Webster, belief is “a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing.” Belief is a state of mind and does not motivate us to act. It can change how we view life or approach certain situations, but faith determines how we act when it gets down to the wire.
No disrespect to the Dr. but that is not a revelational statement.

Don’t be confused or sad anymore. No we can’t keep the old law… but what we should always do once we give our lives to Jesus, is try. Try and live like He did.
Great clear teaching, if you dont understand, listen again and again till you do

With God all things are possible.
Sin leads to death
The question could be ,do we loose our freewill to choose when we get saved ? If we do the we can have our cake and ear it to . Or will God let us walk away ?
I learn so much from your teaching God bless you!
A real believer will not fall away, period! ❤❤❤
May God bless us as we walk in His Grace to purify us as we turn from sins and focus on His Holy Lamb 🙏🏼

in Acts 2:38 repent is a transitive verb it demands an object( it asks the question repent of what) .The object in this vs. is not sin. It is Jesus Christ. Most get this wrong , It is a change of mind about Christ that saves , no sin. Acts 16 :31 makes this clear ..Here is a break down in the greek of the two verbs that tell the story about how to be saved. Dennis Bonny Jaconetta Jaconetta
I like this vs. so much because it is so explicit in it's message...
What a great explanation of salvation!
Spot on, my brother. Thank you for the confirmation.
Very well done brother, one of the best examples I've heard good job.
Amen

Glad to see you spreading this specific awareness because I've brought this up to works based salvations believers and dodge it
“I never knew you” is referring to the fact that the person didn’t have a genuine relationship with Christ, as Jesus follows this by saying… “you workers of lawlessness”.
These were people who called Him Lord with their mouths but didn’t live a life faithful to Christ. This is further proved within the context earlier in the chapter. The verses right before are talking about the fruits…
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
So the context here is clearly about a person’s ACTIONS. Jesus didn’t know them because they produced no fruit

@@LSUTigerbait OSAS means you can willfully sin and be okay. That is not Biblical otherwise Christ’s own words are lies. Believing is an active state of obeying the teaching of Christ, and a person can stop believing according to the scriptures:
Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Spoken by Christ)
James 2 - works are required to prove faith. We are not saved by works, but if no works, our faith is dead and we are not working as Christ worked.
Col 1:23 “if indeed you continue in the faith” (why the “if”)
Rev 3:3-5 - verse 3 talks about how they need to repent, and these are believers. Verse 5 says those who overcome will be clothed in white (saved).
Romans 11:22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

Who was Hebrews addressed to?
Paul’s main message to the church in Galatia was that obedience to the Mosaic Law cannot save anyone; salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. He emphasized this point repeatedly in his letter to the Galatians to counter the false teaching that Gentile Christians needed to follow Jewish laws to be saved. For example, in Galatians 2:16, Paul writes, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ… for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
Paul contrasts the works of the law with faith in Jesus.
As Paul warns in Colossians 1:23, we are to continue “in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel.”
If we turn away from this faith-essentially losing our trust and commitment to Jesus-then we risk forfeiting our salvation. The idea that “once saved, always saved” is misleading because it suggests that our initial act of faith is all that matters, regardless of how we live afterward. However, Jesus Himself cautions against this false security in Matthew 7:21-23, saying, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven… I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”
The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is a dynamic relationship with Jesus that must be maintained through faith and obedience.
Only God knows who His elect are and we on this side of eternity with our finite knowledge cannot know for sure who these are
Romans 8:1 my sainted father's favorite verse!
The few who actually have salvation, can never ever lose it. Anyone who does not understand this truth, simply has not yet become saved.

Are you ok? Are you near any churches friend?
@heatherambassadorforjesusc5072 I raises 4 orphans and nobody contacts me.
Jesus is the only way to the Father and eternal life. Jews do not have Jesus. John 17.3
Thank you
I fear i will not endure until the end, that something will happen in this crazy world and i will fall away out of fear. Can anyone help me overcome this?
that is Ok, because that has to do with persecution not Salvation
If you have ever believed that Jesus Christ died for you sins and was risen again. That's it. You have salvation. Nothing you or anybody else could do would take that away from you.
@@TheEternalHyperborean so someone can believe and have zero fruit??
SO WILL JESUS CHRIST ,,,, UN ....REDEEM HIS CHILDREN ?
Spot on!
Seriously the best explanation of this subject I have yet heard. Well done.
Agreed. Asking questions with questions. Exploration, peaceful, thorough conclusion. Enjoyed it. Praise GOD. ❤
Thank you for presenting the bible at a greater depth than my church pastor can present.
As soon as we put our faith in Jesus Christ we are saved and SEALED with the Holy Spirit.
That's Once Saved Always Saved.
AMEN!
Next logical question: if indwelled by the Holy Spirit - can one then reject (effectively kick out) the Holy Spirit?
People may not say they can do what they like, but they sure do act as if they can.
The best way I was told about it, it's like if we did

Thank you for this video. I ask this question often because I am worried about my adult daughter . She was baptized as an infant and raised in the faith. At one time she professed faith in God. Now, she no longer believes and considers herself an atheist. I want to believe in once saved always saved because I don’t want her to be lost for eternity and yet I know the Bible teaches otherwise. Could you direct me with help on this reason for asking the question of once saved always saved?
I am sorry for that heartache. Perhaps this recent video will help: th-cam.com/video/loWDPc5vexs/w-d-xo.html
God will not lose any Christ died for!
Amen
God bless you too.
Keep walking in the Faith of Christ and His love.
We get closer to His return every day.
