Can anyone tell me what Ian is up to on his pedalboard each time the verse is being played? At first, I thought he was having technical problems, but now I'm wondering if he isn't controlling some of the sounds?
Ist Rob singing through a vocalizer all the time now? They have been using it for choruses for a long time. But now everything sounds artificial and compressed. This sounds ridiculous. The overused echo/reverb is also annoying.
@@teresacooley2889 Ok, Rob is in his 70's, and he indeed performed decently. But other singers are as well, and got more energy and voice quality for the same age. Sammy Haggar, Glenn Hugues, are more energetic and sound better. Mick Jagger is 80... and run like a ferret and still sound strong. My question is, if it is not to deliver perfect priest, is it still worth it to play live. Especially that they don't tour much, a few dates here and there...and yet the performance are ok, not magistral. Priest was still good to watch, thanks to Richie's energy. But seeing ACDC was dreadful. Maybe it's time to either get a coach and practice a lot more before shows...like Dickinson, or Dickinson is 7 years younger, yes, and it means a lot, yes, but even after a throat cancer, he nails the shows like it was 1984 again...he runs, jump, scream, sings, talk, run again...etc etc etc... 2h straight, every other day, for 5-6 months... I would expect Rob to be better as he is very static.
@@DownMemoryLaneParis The experience of seeing JP live is what is important to me. Live performance isn't always great. And like you said they don't tour. Don't judge how Rob is onstage compared to other artists. Everyone ages differently. I just love seeing him up there. His voice isn't what it was but he's still a metal legend.
@@DownMemoryLaneParis If you go to a metal show looking for artists running around and jumping off of stuff you should skip the concert and go see Cirque Du Soleil.
Kicking ass, like there's no tomorrow!

Scott Travis could be a double bass machine, but he got no feel for the 80’s songs.
Das kann Rob nicht mehr singen
Worst version of Turbo Lover to date.
I was about to write exactly the same. Not sure Priest really packed a punch like some media wrote. Its decent at best.
Dude. Rob's in his 70s! Just the fact he still can stand on stage for an entire song blows my mind.
