I was lucky enough to see them around 2011 during the epitaph tour. They played this song and I couldn't believe it. I was singing thru the whole thing with tears falling down my face. I'll never forget that moment
not ven about him being 70 y old, voice ain't as good as before, but the immense respect I have is that he does that for almost 50 years !! 50 years metal performances, he doesn't have a reason for himself to still do this, he does it to serve our metal hearts. Or maybe he does it for himself to, he just loves it, and that makes him even greater and the honor to call himself the only real METAL GOD
@@paulhughes505 ram it down material is almost as or even more unsangable than painkiller at some place. Both albums are in the same trajectory. Not doing the high part intro is preservation.
@@Nissardpertugiu The few times he did it in 2011 were very hit and miss (think Montreal was one of the best ones) - he does generally sound even better now than in 2011 though, so I suppose he could pull it off if he thought it was worth it.
Imagine Halford after a year of hard dieting, treadmill and healthy weight lifting! The voice is actually there a lot of times in a very profound and powerful way. I believe its just conditioning and endurance that's missing! Respect to the Metal God!
Great Track from an Grossly Underated Album, Ram It Down. Nice Ballad, brought to greater heights in the Live Environ; Side 1 (Excepting Love Zone, ugh) was as Heavy & Delicious a Metal Meal that Priest would produce in the '80s!
Awesome! He still got it Rob Halford! But where is Glenn Tipton here? Haven´t read any news for a long time on Judas priest, so don´t know whats going on.
@@Pierwszyrząd Ahh Thanks for the info, and yes forgot he got the Parkinson's disease, so it's most likely what's doing it, sadly. He is also the oldest member at 74, if i can remember correct.
There’s no way not to compare vs Iron Maiden’s performances of their current tour. I have watched both bands several times since 1982 and I have always liked Judas Priest a lot more. All that theatrical production in the Maiden’s shows distract from what is really important: the music.
JP is usually OK live, but IM manage to balance excellent showmanship AND music live. What's good is that both Rob and Bruce haven't sounded so good live in years.

If I only could make them younger !
X2 in Argentina!
I saw that tour as well, they were excellent. They've honestly improved in some ways since, but I miss GT of course.
No playback, no autotune .It's just pure talent, Rob halbord always will be The metal God.🤘🤘
Está claro amigo,Halford es Halford.
This metal grandpa is 70 years old and can do such super high screams. Amazing!
Metal God!

His voice is totally unbelievable. What a master.
are you nuts... why Owen was fired
@@MrAlexNaydenov I think, you are nuts, dear.
Thats why he is Called " Metal GOD "
Leather, no leather, makes no difference, they still sound GREAT!
The metal God is nowhere near his prime in the early 90’s but still sounds great ❤
Rob Halford sounds amazing here!!!
The mid range is awesome like usual but the high voice isn’t there in the beginning.

Still sick!!!
Halford's voice is still as amazing as it ever was!
so much better than a full blown stage concert and theatrics
Nah
This is one of my favorite JP songs of all time. I wish they had played it live more often when Rob was in his prime.
Rob have still a fantastic voice !

Rob had prostate cancer during COVID. It's been less than a year since his prostatectomy.
He sounded incredible when I saw the Priest in September 2021. Perhaps he was just tired here. 😔
It's called 70 years old.
Rob, Robert, mój imienniku, jesteś Wielki, też byłem na tym koncercie.., do ponownego zobaczenia w Halle 30.07.2022....
Great band firing in all cylinders and it’s without pyromania and a stage show just all playing powerfully.
Judas P. forever, love you songs
Sounds amazing
I love this song.....

I guessed this was a video of a tribute band
So dramatic from th first rifs to the last
The gold voice in action !!!!!?
Halford sounds good. I mean…he sounds much improved.. As does the second guitarist

Sometimes he performs with the band during the encore, but that's rare.

Never surrender! Free Ukraine!
Ram It Down would have been a better album if Thunder Road was on it instead of Chuck Berry.
Amen

WASP
Downtuned way too much. I saw them play this in Epitaph Tour in 2011 and this version is not even close.
`another thing comming` was tuned down a half-step. F# to F
And they play all their live stuff in D sharp tuning (half step down) since Halfords return in 2004.
epic song!
