You can hear Shannon crying towards the end of the song. Really makes me emotional. Love that they put a secret song of nicks at the end too. RIP Nick you live on!
The 'It ain't right' video kills me, because it was around 7 years after his death that it was recorded, and it shows there's truly no closure when it comes to the subject of suicide. I don't condemn or scorn people that leave that way, but it sure does leave a hole in a lot of people's hearts.
@@aaronisacomedian It’s a sad and tragic way to go for sure. Lost an uncle to suicide and it really tore a hole in our family. The ‘it ain’t right’ music video truly does show how impactful suicide is on those closest to you. I feel so bad for Shannon and all of Nicks friends.
I do believe it's time to leave My body to the ground Weeping willow over me Oh nothing else around Oh nothing else around Lord nothing else around Lay me down in Alabama With the pistol in my hand Remember me for who I am Oh not for what I done Oh not for what I done Lord not for what I done I do believe there's nothing left But a memory of a kiss When I breathe this final breath Oh your name's on my lips Oh your name's on my lips Lord your name's on my lips Oh wake me up in Paradise If that is where I am bound If I should head to someplace less Oh leave me to the ground Oh leave me to the ground Lord leave me to the ground Oh tie me to the hangin' tree On the Open range So I can feel the gentle breeze Oh and watch the clouds change Oh and watch the clouds change Lord and watch the clouds change I do believe it's time to leave

I've been missing out on this one for years.. what a beautiful and mournful tune! Ashley and fiddle sure bears it out. Love that they all sing. RIP Nick.
So freaking good I wish Benjamin would release all his music in one place. Spotify Apple or just a record. I love lost dog and Benjamin tod solo stuff but his younger stuff is also so good. We played this song at my brothers funeral

I do believe it's time to leave
My body to the ground
Weeping willow over me
Oh nothing else around
Oh nothing else around
Lord nothing else around
Lay me down in Alabama
With the pistol in my hand
Remember me for who I am
Oh not for what I done
Oh not for what I done
Lord not for what I done
I do believe there's nothing left
But a memory of a kiss
When I breathe this final breath
Oh your name's on my lips
Oh your name's on my lips
Lord your name's on my lips
Oh wake me up in Paradise
If that is where I am bound
If I should head to someplace less
Oh leave me to the ground
Oh leave me to the ground
Lord leave me to the ground
Oh tie me to the hangin' tree
On the Open range
So I can feel the gentle breeze
Oh and watch the clouds change
Oh and watch the clouds change
Lord and watch the clouds change
I do believe it's time to leave

Exactly. The dog is chained. Its a slave. To whimper is all it has left.
