    For some reason I've been really struggling with this lately. Have worn these types of gumshields since 2006 but got a new one in 2020. Since then I've been through 4 gumshields and can't get any to stay in. Most of the instructions recommend boiling them for longer than your video suggests, then dipping them in cold water on the before putting them in your mouth. Do you think that's where I'm going wrong? Could I also be biting too hard?

      @ReadySteadyStrong 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, if you mess them up can you remould them or are they ruined?

      Yeah you need an Adult size one. But for boxing maybe get a more substantial one than this. These are for very light sparring really

      Hello, I wouldn't wear these for boxing. These are a very basic gum shield. Okay for kids boxing maybe, but these are for light sparring. Boxing you'd want something like the SafeJawz we sell

    Does it matter if my bottom teeth don't touch the gum shield no matter how much u push down

    • @EnsoMartialArts
      @EnsoMartialArts  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bottom teeth should mould into the underside of the gum shield, which will help stabilize your jaw and protect your bottom teeth. When you mould it are you gently biting it?

      Have you put in boiling water for around 10 - 15 secs to soften the material first, then push up and hold and should create a nice fit for you.

    Booster mouth guards absolute trash, waste of money and time. I tried even a second time to get it fit, pushed really hard and it falls out even easier. That these things are even sold is beyond me
