Just look at how much backlash that would have avoided too! Those two just wanted to ride the gravy train of the original makeup as long as they could!
This interview sums up Gennie's outlook on life. Imagine working for, and playing in this guy's band? Remember, he doesn't "party" at all. Everyone's idea of a good time is different. I can't stand drunken biligerance, and people that are disrespectful. But to constantly have to be reminded by "uncle Gene" to behave. Would get old fast. As much as I respect what K.I.S.S. has done over the years. "Dr Love" there, has always seemed like a dick to me.
Great hairpiece Gene. Many people think Kiss died when the original line up died. But some people are great at taking credit for other people's musical writings.
Selling their music rights, I knew that was coming, lol. Whatever it takes to squeeze out every last dollar. Btw, ABBA has already done the avatar thing, so it's not something novel, as he's hinting at here.
He’s hinting at it being different than ABBA’s! Gene & Paul are jealous of ABBA & only want to top them! They should the rights to use the Kiss name & music so the company could continue to change things up without getting permission every time! Don’t be fooled because Gene, Paul & Ace are still making money from the Kiss trademark! Royalties are rolling in for those guys! Ace was smarter than Peter! Ace held onto his makeup rights & royalties to songwriting & publishing!
If they really have spend 'hundreds of millions of dollars' on this avatar thing, then that's hundreds of millions of dollars that's been wasted and they'll never see again.
It’s not Gene that did that! Watch other videos this channel has up & you will see fake backgrounds on those! This background has been used in other TH-cam interviews from different channels!

I respect your humility Gene but after ten years of lying to the fans and going back on all of the pontificating, you guys did against lip syncing...... I love tommy and Eric singer they gave the band new life. Peter and Ace looked washed I 2000
I need some of that Gene hair to buff up my guitar frets.
Gene's hair was the reason he is wearing sunglasses.
Bad wig chia pet
Whatever you do don’t light a smoke near that rug you’re wearing
Put that rug on the floor
I listened to Kiss up to Destroyer after that I moved on
After the first live album I was finished. Went afterwards for the show not the music
What a fool.
Love Gun is great! Alive 2 is fantastic! Creatures, Lick It Up, Revenge are great albums!
The Elder was the end of new music for me. Still listen to the old stuff.
I thought I was the only one.
This better not look anything like the cheap avatars we saw at MSG. Thankfully they sold their image. They have terrible taste. Maybe we’ll get something cool finally.
That video is as low quality as the avatars and pretty much every digital effect I've ever seen from KIss.
It’s Kiss. It’s all about money.
Nothing wrong with that!
Same as everybody else.
Why do you go to work?
No, it's not ALL about money. Success is measured in more than currency.
@@BigBri550 How many times have you gone to work for free? 😂
He talks about wearing all that stuff but nobody made them wear it !! They could of did what they did in the 80s and 90s !!
Yahooooooooooo! I'm taking this bull by the horns. 🤘
Why does he feel the need to interview in front of a green screen? The background looks about as fake as his hair.
hah
He also hasn’t even been in a studio for ten years LOL, all about selling branded junk and nothing about music anymore.
@@crissdrums3975he’s Gene Simmons,he can do whatever he wants.
It’s not Gene that did that! Watch other videos this channel has up & you will see fake backgrounds on those! This background has been used in other TH-cam interviews from different channels!
Gene is a true Jew :)
Why didn't he then marry a Jewish woman? I think you are on the wrong way.
Ahh… poor man, can’t mow the lawn in all his houses, tragic.
Kiss should have put the nail in the coffin with the original four back in 2000 put Unfortunately they continued on and here we are
I wonder what Ace's cut was?
Zero.
it rhymes with hero.
ACE & PETER GOT NOTHING
Should have called it after Psycho Circus. After that no respect from me.
You have put only one hearted reply on here Mr. VRP Rocks! Your subscribers have got you where you are, not Simmons. Don't be a fanny and let people have negative opinions if they wish, we don't all adore Simmons.
I respect your humility Gene but after ten years of lying to the fans and going back on all of the pontificating, you guys did against lip syncing...... Just to become a lip syncing band indicates that you should have quit a long, long time ago. I watch you from 1975, and you were like a gymnast. With a bass guitar. I look at you at the end of the road tour, and you can barely do the geriatric shuffle. I've been a fan since a long. Long time ago and you guys were minimally, and I mean minimally ten years overdue in quitting.
How much does Gene want for that wig he wears?
I saw the 1996 reunion show in Boston…paid $275 for second row, I thought that was a ton of money but I was born in 1970 and missed their heyday….it was a great show….what makes greatness great is drive and effort…so they hung on a little longer than they should but so did Willie Mays.
Gene does not look and sound happy, doing nothing.
Gene rocks! He still rocks with his band live. They did "Charisma". Powerful💥And I must say: at 75 Gene still has KISS⚡ charisma.
When y’all are 105 years old 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gene still performs, but with his own band. I think he wants to compete with Mick Jagger for on stage bragging rights.
Nice wig Gene
Gene, there is a dead animal on your head!!!!
If the band is lucky, They will live long enough to upload a conscience and the avatars will be people in a sense
Kiss is still and will be for a long time a 1B dollar business
I think for poo and giggles they keep Kiss Cruise going,,,Come out looking like dress to kill album cover , Maybe do a few charity shows without makeup ,
At some point they will miss playing with each other, Todays tech means they can play and not be in the same room,,, Just a lil jam session
Witz and Eisen
Looking forward to the next Kiss "Last tour" Just sayin
Nice wig
Beatles and Kiss. Best Ever🎉
LMMFAO! Need a laugh! Neither can hold a candle to Zeppelin!
Who would buy pure crap?😂😂😂😂
its because his singer couldn’t sing anymore
I disagree, the time to quit was a long time ago. They've made a mockery of themselves for decades.
Money Money!!! 😅
They had no choice
