It's 2017 and most major symphony orchestras cannot seem to catch up with adding 20TH CENTURY composers to their repertoires, aside from pop hits (e.g. Enesco's Rhapsodies). When will they include major works by Enesco, Koechlin, Bax, Kokkonen, Tubin, Bliss, Lambert and so many others.. And opera houses cannot seem to remember some of Rimsky-Korsakov's great operas such as "The Invisible City of Kitezh." OK, I'm veering off topic.. Thank you for posting 'Vox Maris."
In total agreement - let's add Czeslaw Marek, Ernst Dohnanyi, Josef Suk, more Roussel, more Laszlo Delage, Caplet, Lajtha, and myriad others. Vox Maris is wonderful. Also try Suite Chatelaine.
I also agree with you. Id like to see concerts including more music by Janacek, Martinu, Kabalevsky,Enescu,Poulenc,Tippett, and opera houses staging more Giordano,Janacek,Rimsky- K, Ippolatov-Ivanov.
This is interesting, I would say reminiscent of his third symphony written many years earlier around the first world war, also using the human voice as an instrument, but influenced by the classical music of more recent times.
Enescu a eu le malheur de ne pas être atonal quand tout le monde devait l'être... Sa modernité est d'être un vrai poète ( créateur). N.B. c'est chanté en français et breton. )
Don't apologize, the rhapsodies are good enough, even great. Let alone these discoveries so generously posted. The equal or better than early Bartok IMHO.
Not enough Romanians in Florida. Plenty of Slavs, other central Europeans, Poles and Asians though on the gulf coast. New Port Richey is 'infested' with ethnicities.
Достаточно интересно. Правда нужно полное погружение, без этого кажется чем то непонятным. Интересно как в конце был передан ветер. Кто подскажет каким образом? Что за инструмент такой?
Inconfundabil,unic.❤

Bravo.

:) thank you...:)
he is sooooooooooooooooooooooo
Enescu: one of the great unknowns of music. If it weren't for his Rhapsodies, WSMR-FM, the classical music station of Sarasota, would never play him.

I found the Florida stations pretty catholic in their programming. Probably the demands of all the transplants.
Un componimento molto, ma molto originale. Di grande charme.

Frumoasă interpretare a unei capodoperei necunoscunută. Păcat că din nou cântecul matelotului este cântat în franceză și nu în bretonă.
Elle est comme Enescu l'a souhaité...
@@robertlambeaux897 Non , dans la partition d'Enescu c'est un texte breton qui est utiilsé.
Whose artwork? The style seems to accompany many obscure symphonic pieces. Forgive me, 'Sci-fi dystopian?' Whatever. Love the piece.
Cred ca Enescu s-a inspirat din Cartea profetului Iona, aflata in Vechiul Testament

La " machine à vent" est une percussion déjà utilisée à l'époque baroque... Une sorte de moulin , avec des frotteurs
Ça fait un peu poème de l'extase...
Прям очень напоминает остров мертвых Рахманинова
Rendu caricatural. Pauvre Rozhdestvensky. Il mérite fort mieux.
