Hey guys! If you follow me on other social medias you know this video was due a few days ago but I have been working on my office. So I do appreciate your patience because I know a lot of you were excited about it. So though I can't respond to every comment, I do go through and ❤️ them all. Plus, I read all of them. I do answer any really good questions if it's something that I don't go over often. Leave some feedback below, if you're new, consider subscribing for more creative videos like this. I do hope y'all enjoy as as always... Tfw!💕
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Been needing a super cheap to make diy solution for my washi. It also needed to be able to wall mounted yet removable to desktop and stand up when needed. This DIY is legit my fav after several yrs of obsessively watching diy vids for craft room storage solutions. I needed a way to cheaply have multiple organizers. My vintage/retro collection, holidays collection, art journaling collection, solids by colors, etc. My collection keeps growing so organizing by theme/use works for me. This affordable diy will have my collection on the wall in a grid of beautiful frames to match my art studio room in no time. I can't wait to get shopping this weekend for supplies and build 5 or 6 or these. Realized quickly that this is also the perfect solution for my alcohol ink bottles, plus my ink pads and their reinker bottles too. Omg. 😲 I'm going to end up with a entire wall lined with these 2 stories tall. But all my stuff will be instantly accessible as well as bringing all kinds of color into my room once I decide what to cover/decorate them with. As I type this I am realizing I may need 10 or even 12 to do washi, alcohol inks, pads and reinkers. But solving so many problematic storage issues I've been having. For me if they are in drawers or boxes or bins I don't see them so end up not using them. But when my stuff is visually in line of sight, I use my things far more frequently. Again, THANK YOU! Did see a few helpful other diy washi storage vids and liked them all in one way or another. But hands down THIS is what will work for me best. And will help me use my stuff more, instead of gathering dust in a drawer. I feel a bit giddy like I do every time I find a genuis way to fix a problem in my art space. 😀 You rock! 🎸 🎶 Just sayin' !
Oh my! I recently made the washi holders from the recycled kit boxes, towel tubes, and tape you shared and love them. Now I am excited to make this as soon as I can get to the dollar store! Thank you for sharing your fabulous ideas in such a clear, accessible way.
I've been so frustrated searching for inexpensive ways to store my growing collection of washi tape and then I came across your video. Not only is this inexpensive to make but it's right up my alley because I love making things! Thank you for sharing this video, this is a genius DIY video!!
This video gave me an idea - I wonder if a Dollar Tree utensil tray would eliminate the card board cutting...fyi, I store 'some' of my washi rolls in a plastic utensil tray on my desk top. Other rolls I store in old sunglasses cases I got FREE from my eye doctor's office. They had a whole basket full of old sunglasses cases. They are the perfect size for washi rolls - and very portable - if you go to crafting events....other rolls I store in an old box from parchment paper roll - with the top removed - on my desktop. My washi stash is huge - and I keep getting MORE! :-)
This actually lasted me a very long time. I only got rid of it because I was downsizing in our new house. Otherwise I would have kept it. Glad you enjoyed. 🖤
OMG, I have been trying to think of ways for my craft /office/sewing room for all those off odd items. I have a tub full of old frame that I was giving to good will. Thank you so much.
Really cool! You need a wood shop and you could make stuff without duck tape. What you did was harder and really creative. Really amazing. Thanks for posting.
Paloma, I just LOVE your description about what you do here and what you hope to accomplish - to help people remember their value. Just love that sentence. Thanks
Been looking for a better way for ages. That actually looks nice and clean. Will be trying this today!.....well I did it. I made two large ones for my book case and one mini for my desk. They look fantastic thank you!
YAAAAY!!! I just finished making me one of these! Don't you just love the feeling you get when you finish something you really needed and you do a good job, lol Doesn't hurt that I had a good teacher, 😉 My hubbys at work and everyone else is asleep and I just had to tell someone what I did, lol Thanks again for sharing your ideas, ☺
This project came out so cute!!! I don't have that much washi yet as I am new to the whole planner thing, but I could see getting addicted to washi tape...I love watching your videos!! I was missing you. Julie
a great idea we do not have dollar shops in the uk but i am sure i could find similar things to try and make this. thank you for sharing another great project xx
Oh my gosh, I love you woman!!! I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out where to store my washi. The best part, it's cheap to make but still looks really nice. I'm sooo making this!! I love it. Your awesome!! Whoo hoo! Hugs 😘
This is amazing-u r one smart cookie! Subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see more. Thank u for the idea and all the links! Bottom ideas could also be wooden spoils with washi around them or jazz them up w/Tim Holtz metal bottoms -
Absolutely wonderful. I ran across this yesterday, created one this morning. I used an 8x10 frame because that was what I had but hey, it worked and I adore it. (Having to make a second now because seriously, need more space lol)
That is amazing. So cheap and it looks pretty easy to build. I think I might have to make some of these for my wall. I have them now in dot butter dishes in drawers but I want to be able to see them and have them look cute out. This is so affordable and cute. Thanks so much for sharing.
hello , I just found your videos and I am totally mind blown -your closet video you made is can I say " to die for " I do not use make a lot -maybe once in a blue moon ,with every box ,butter dish bottom ect.. you showed on your video I said to my self : wow ! I could use that idea for sewing thread , for cloth ect.. lol I just can not wait to try out your ideas in my sewing room which is being over hauled -yup it needs a big make over, I fell in love with some of your shadows and lip sticks though even if I do not wear it often . looove your videos
What a terrific idea and project! Inexpensive and I'm able to decorate to my color scheme and theme. I'm going to make one for my glitter jars and embossing powder containers. Great inspiration, thank you!
Amazing job! I can't believe I've been trying to make one for my wall pegboard organization for my ribbons and tapes and such and I had so much trouble figuring how to start the frame and today makes 2, days now lol my mind literally went blank but it doesn't help when I have four kids well five of u count my husband and they constantly interrupting me when I start to getting focus into it but now seeing how u made it look so easy and creative as well I am gonna get started on it now by digging out a picture frame . Pls continue ur diy vids u have such a creative mind
One thing I would have done. I would have used the pink duct tape on each shelf for that extra complete feeling. Everything else is so perfectly done. Great video.
That's very nice, Paloma. You alway's come up with the best ideas. I know you had to have love to play with tape and paper when you were a little girl.Ha!! love you
Omg this is adorable! Foam core board would work too... they sell it at Dollar Tree. It would be a little thicker too. Lol make sure you measure your shelves with new washi tape because stuff you’ve used will be smaller. I want to do something like this for my ribbon too.
Hey Paloma, you make it look so easy :) TFS this. I'm just planning my new craft room and this is perfect. Never thought of creating my own shadow boxes! Big hugs from the UK XX🇬🇧
Thanks for a wonderful and useful project. I don’t have very many washi tape roles, however I’m sure I’ll be accumulating more. Tomorrow I’ll make the washi tape holder. Thanks again!
Great DIY!! Love this idea! If you were stranded on an island you would build your boat with whatever the island provided and build some shelter while your boat was being built! LOL TFS!
Another great way to organize your washi tape is through a Washi Tape organizer like this one - missrosieshop.com/collections/washi-tapes/products/miss-rosies-washi-tape-dispenser
This was a great video! Definitely making one or ten of these! Love me some washi tape! One thing that popped in my head as you were putting the front "lip" on the shelves was I wonder if you couldn't incorporate the cutting edge from a plastic wrap, parchment, wax paper box etc. to have a way to cut a strip of washi with out taking the whole roll out. I suppose it might work if you had the unit wall mounted. I may ask my neighbors to save me there empty dispenser boxes and give it a try! Thanks again! Great project!
Hi Paloma, I love this "shadow box like" style. This is pure genius!!! Thanks for sharing. I am binge watching your videos since I've kinda been a bit inactive on YT for 2 weeks due to jury duty, new job responsibilities. So, I have a lot of catching up to do! Hope you have a wonderful week! Hugs ~ Josie :)
Oh wow, thank you so much for this. lve been needing it, l have a lot of washi tape. and now my daughter in law has alot. we are going to make this. you did a really beautiful job on it. but you always have done a great job on stuff you do. And thanks again for this l appreciate you making these for us.
I have a very small craft space, so I feel this diy would work excellent for me to display on my wall. So thank you for sharing this idea, it was very helpful.

Omg your skills and imagination! I absolutely love this☺ I am new to planning and crafting. You are my very favorite you tuber. I find you so easy to follow along with and love that you teach us how to do things without all the special gadgets. It is so helpful as I am retired and on a budget so I am slowly adding crafting tools to my stash. Again, I appreciate you so much☺
Hello, I have to say this is amazing! I love the whole idea. What a beautiful way to display all the Washi. Nice way to see and grab them easily. With having so many I do forget about some Washitapes I have. Making this that won't happen anymore Yaaaayy! You are highly creative that I had to subscribe to your channel. I'm going to be viewing all of your other ideas and definitely try to make a few. Thank you for sharing your wonderful DIY creations. I know that many of your viewers that collect Washitapes Love this idea entirely!
I use the iris craft containers from Michael's,they hold over 100rolls easy and i color code them. I have 8full right now you can see in them so it's easy to grab the right container for your project. I have them all lined up and I love them,oh and they stay dust free (the tape).

Oh my goodness! Just stumbled onto your channel. You’re brilliant! Thanking God for YOU!! 😊
