I would think so too, but I guess the way the law goes there was nothing signed on paper. I really believe at the time Jovan paid these things out of the goodness of his heart, thinking the child was his. He definitely wasn't a deadbeat dad. And the way the baby girl called him Poppy was too cute. And I'm sure she was Jovans heart. I don't believe Jovan was as hurt about not getting reimbursed as he was by the DNA results. But I do feel he continued loving baby girl. You don't cut off love like a waterfaucet.

The judge is just following the law. When the guy bought the toy and shoes, he bought them out of the kindness of his heart and gave them to his daughter. He can't just take them back on mad day because they know longer belong to him.
also, they look out for the welfare of the child FIRST! so if the momma has to pay that money back, that's the same as taking away $2500 from the baby

Did not agree with judges decision here at all. That man deserved the money he spent on that kid back. The mama knew that baby wasn't his from the beginning. Those things he gave for that child was not gifts. One time I didn't agree with the decision by judge.

I’m late, but the mom and plaintiff did appear back in court for the results. A prenatal DNA was performed, as well. If you’re reading this, try looking it by using the plaintiff and mom’s name under the Paternity Court. Surely, it will pop up; if you’re interested. 🙂
