@@hdvsmith Uhhh yeah unfortunately as much as I loved this episode for the most part, there were definitely some "dumb" moments, like why did Boba make him drop the jetpack anyway? I get dropping his weapons, but the jetpack thing just felt like a plot excuse so he couldn't follow the Dark Troopers. He should've called back the Jetpack and tried to fly up but get shot down by one of the Dark Troopers. That would've made way more sense. Plus the episode could be 45 seconds longer... ha

Yeah, the "put the jetpack down" was a plot device to set up Mando not being able to reach Grogu in time to save him. Just a writers room agreement to move the plot forward.
Also, every time he’s trying to get the child out of the force field, he calls him “kid” not grogu, so if he were to call him grogu, do you think he would’ve stopped?

I think Grogu will have enough strength to break the cuffs after his long nap! Seems like the nap would restore his powers to it's max. Then he could help Mando fight off Gideon.

John Williams theme of boba Fett was way better, but the strings make for a solid placeholder.
Surprised me that no one is talking about that Stormtrooper with yellow stripes (the one operating the mortars). That was so cool to see, reminded me of the old Clone Troopers.

Seems like Moff Gideon has special troops that are color coded. Red for flametrooper, and yellow for mortars. Eager to see if more on his cruiser.

Yes! Did you notice Boba actually did zoom in on the other transport? He wasnt being funny when he said he was aiming at the other one.
Did anyone notice how stormtroopers actually hit their target when the target was wearing beskar

Stormtroopers can hit accurately . But they function along with plot.
If plot wants to repel laser from lightsabers or hit beskar - then the storm troopers hits accurately
If plot dont want to kill any main protagonist -then the stormtroopers cant hit anything.

The reason that Boba looked thicker in his armour is because instead of wearing his typical undergarments, he was trying to fit a HUGE freaking robe under the armour. How does everybody seem to miss that??

Temuera is 60yrs old this year, i think he's earned a pass, i'm just glad he's back and living up to his badass reputation!

I love how the start he was explain to grogu about his “mission” to return the child as it as almost a reminder for us at home to refocus on the story behind it and not the side missions
he was also explaining it to himself, trying to convince himself that he'll have to say goodbye soon
i figure his armor would fit him better if he didn't have the robe. Anyways he is still badass and had awesome fight scenes!

The biggest question though, did he get his jetpack back? He left it by the stone and you never saw it again in the episode.
As we see in another episode, he can call his jetpack back to himself with the controller on his wrist, yet he didn't in this episode, which i think is one of the few oversights the producers have made in this series...
Isnt the jetpack made out of beskar? If a steel spear survives the jetpack might also be
It was a dumb move just to run to Grogu without his jetpack. If he got it back then there would be a lot more combat seen in the episode but seeing from Robert Rodriguez, he does work on low budget stuff. It makes sense. Besides it would only take Din like 5 seconds to put the thing on.
I believe he intentionally left it behind as to not draw attention to where Grogu was when the imperials landed. Makes sense if you think about it. If he flew up there or called his jetpack up there he would have immediately alerted them to his location. Granted, they found him anyway, but Mando and the rest didn't know there was an imperial cruiser with moff gideon and darktroopers above them.
I think we're gonna see him get it in the beginning of the next episode

This episodes was filled with amazing stuff like action,comedy,TRAGEDY, and Fan service and a lot of mediating.

Does nobody wanna talk about the Robert Rodriguez direction? Those shots of the gaffing stick sliding on the ground before pulverizing the troopers and many more. Superb
I don't think that's a second figure next to Grogu in the distant shot. I think that's just the top of the far stonehenge rock, with the rest cut off by the angle.

I thought the butterflies were a callback to the First episode of Clone Wars, just after crushing then Droidekas.
They also appear to anakinin a dream during his transition to Vader; he kills them, it was supposed to represent him destroying the last parts of the anakin identity
This is easily my favorite episode of the season

Last week when Ashoka came out I was thinking it’s gonna be hard to top that. They keep this up and eventually the bar is going to be set too high. As much as I love where this is going they need to dial it back just a tad.

Got a cool theory about who Grogu saw on the seeing stone:
So when Grogu was on the seeing stone on Tython, everyone is probably wondering what he saw or who he reached out too.
Well in my theory I think he did both, I think that he reached out to a Jedi, most likely either Luke or Cal, however I think that’s a given because we are probably going to see more than just Ashoka in terms of Jedi’s/ force wielders however I think the more interesting theory is did Grogu see in his ‘meditation’. Obviously we’ve seen countless times when force users meditate they see or hear people; well what if Grogu heard/saw Anakin’s force ghost. Now you might think out of everyone why Anakin, surely it would be Yoda. However what do we know about Tython in legends? Well we know that it doesn’t favour either the light or dark side. It’s a place balance. And who do we know who brings balance to the force? Anakin.
Maybe Grogu is searching for a Jedi and he first talks to Anakin. And maybe they talk and Grogu explains who he is and what his situation is. Obviously Anakin can’t train him but he would know the perfect person to train him. Anakins son, Luke, and then Anakin tells Grogu to reach out to the force and look for Luke, and he does and that’s why we see/ hopefully see Luke either in the season finale or next season
what about ezra? he could of guided ezra back to train him
@@walter2440 I don’t think so. I think Ezra is still fighting or with thrawn and I think that’s what the Ashoka spin off will be about, finding Ezra.
There's a theory that Anakin and Grogu are part of a force dyad. That would be a really good reason for Anakin to reach out to him.
@@TheRockinDonkey to be honest I would love that. I don’t know fully the details of how you need to be in a dyad but I think the only issue is surely Anakin/Vader would have felt it and especially that they’ve been in the same building (Jedi temple ) as each in the clone wars surely they would have had a really strong connection. It’s a cool theory but i think would be hard to retcon

Did Din Djarin ever get his jetpack back? He didn't even have it on while in Navarro. Sadly, he could have remote flown it back to himself at any moment during the episode.
he probably did retrieve it, but left it on slave 1 along with the beskar spear when he was talking to cara, there would've been no reason for him to wear it out.

Mando is gonna kill Gideon with that spear. Gideon shoulda killed him while he had the chance.
Bo Katan has to kill him to claim the Dark Saber thus the throne of Mandalore.
Through the magic of dark side cybernetics, they probably both get to do these things. They are definitely going to make Gideon even more vaderish IMO. Remember he got half of his face blown off in Breaking Bad, that's a survivable injury in Star Wars.

Yes they can, I saw lightsaber users deflect them in either rebels or clone wars
