- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Zaku I Sniper Type [Yonem Kirks]. Kirk's death was a tragic and dramatic scene in the OVA, and very memorable. I'm planning to use this kit to recreate that scene!

There's something really appealing about mobile suits that use sniper rifles. A Master Grade of this Zaku would be fantastic.
Real grade would be even better

The zaku has an issue with mainly falling small pieces well
I've seen a resting conversion kit for this that you can use on the MG Zaku 2.0
Its the mono eye, and the scope, it totally matches its like only focused for sniping
mad respect for the dudes that faced everyone with a Zaku that had no close-range weaponry
I think the tubes on back are for spare barrels, in the ova it shows the sniper rifle overheat and melt the barrel. It would have been cool if it had included extra ones or a melted one.
That was by far the best battle scene in unicorn IMO.
Samuraiguy0079 Ah I didn't know that was extra barrels, in the OVA I assumed those were rods used as ammunition for the rifle.

I suppose it could be that but in the scene it reminded me real life machine guns. Some military machine guns have quick change barrels when one gets too hot. Just what it looked like to me.
ZakuAurelius that's what I thought too. I didn't even realize it was supposed to be a beam sniper rifle.
Samuraiguy0079 Actually it turns out you're totally right! I checked the Wiki page and it says it used equipped with a quick-change barrel system cause the rifle is modified for rapid fire.
Not trying to come off as a jerk or anything, but the addons attached to his backpack aren't holding ammunition. More or less they are replacement barrels for the rifle to solve the sniper type's overheating issue.

It doesn't need glue theres a smaller hole inside where the wire part fits, you just need to push it in.

what i like about zakus is they are better when they are in groups so i dont mind buying zakus though they just have slight difference
This was like: the ONLY HGUC kit that needs glue on some parts.

For mine I painted the Gun Sight plastic with 'glass paint' so that it stayed Transparent Green.
It’s my good luck Suit in Gundam Battle Operation 2, along with Blue Destiny Unit 1, so even if they’re meh kits, I want them.

I'm gonna experiment with neon paint + reflective paint on the same plastic, any other suggestions for glowing eyes without changing the eyes? because I'm gonna need ideas for the next year I'm gonna join the gbwc near my area, wish me luck.
lot's of ways to do that to get similar effects. LED lights, aurora film, iridescent paint, etc.
How tall is it compared to the origin versions?
I wish mg of this will come out. Mg 2.0 zaku 1 would be nice too

yes you can attach the sniper rifle to the back pack.
is it possible to use the extra shoulder bell on the other shoulder?
I don't remember off hand, but you can always check dalong to see scans of the manual!
Typically only one shoulder is designed to accept the shoulder armor. On my origin High Mobility type I had to do a little fandangling but it turned out looking great
So, what's the difference between this one and the regular one? Just command antennae and slight colors?
Different head, shoulder, backpack, and yes, the color scheme.

What glue do you use to glue in the wire?
Yaoyao9 （リーフちゃん） I would use a tiny drop of super glue. But someone pointed out that there is actually a small hole inside there to plug in the wire more tightly.

Not because of sponsor issues. Because I'm always busy. I don't get the kits ON release day. Sometimes a week or two later. That's because of me, not because of my sponsor. Reviewing kits as soon as I possibly can isn't the highest priority in my life.

So the only difference between this and the normal one are the round shoulder pad, the glue-on loops and the spare barrels... Hmm...
I think the normal kit hat the commander horn head part.
This one also has the antenna

the original kit didn't come with a commander antenna.
