They really have been. The WFM HG kits make me super excited to see which ones get MG or Full Mechanics treatment. They have been fantastic and quite unique from each other. The GTO Kits are also very great. Gotta get one of these!
Origin, IBO, and WFM lines are the best high grades I've ever seen. The char origin version suit in particular is one of my top 5 high grades ever. Some of them are one step away from real grades.
I suspect the hole on the chest is a fuel port. The Origin Gundam and GMs have a similarly shaped hole embedded on the side of their chest armour - only placed vertically - but as the Guncannon's armour is more angular so they shifted it to above the right breast.
This kit also has the similar "ports/hole" on the chest side, like Origin GM. I can't find one on the Origin RX-78-2 though. I think they try to mix the Origin Guncannon manga version (which has the front chest port/hole), as it seems previous HG Origin Guncannons (Rollout/Test/Iron Cavalry) does not have the front port/hole That's just my personal theory though, based on how I see that they added in some of the GM manga version design on the HG Origin GM Sleggar/GM Moroccan Front.
Nitpick: 1:31 Origin Guncannon, not Origin Guntank. For those who may not know of the kit, it's the HG The Origin Guncannon First Type Iron Cavalry colors.
I’ve been holding off on buying a Guncannon for a good while, and was planning on buying the revive. But i then saw this on pre-order and decided to get this instead, as i like the options you have for the backpack
I like these two backpack weapon options (long cannon and missle pod launcher), but it could be better if you could mix them (a different weapon on each shoulder side) to create a Guncannon ready to activate an all-out attack.
They are most likely rocket pods not missiles, usually rocket powered flechettes i.e. Sharp steel or titanium rods launched in clusters hence the many holes in the tip of the pod (which stays attached to the aircraft) most often used by attack helicopters.
The Guncannon is one of my favorite designs in Gundam. I like the dual cannons on the shoulders. I've been heavily considering picking up the Guncannon and maybe the Guntank if I ever get a chance. I just got Chuchu's Demi Trainer and built it today. That missile launcher is so weird looking, don't know for sure if I'd use that component, but yeah, my main draw to the Guncannon is, well, the cannons. I always like some nice shoulder cannons. I kinda want to see a Guncannon in Decepticon Soundwave colors and dual Soundwave styled sonic blasters on it's shoulders. Now that I think of it... Those missile launchers could be modified into Soundwave's cybertronian sonic blasters with a little bit of extra work. I'm a big fan of cross overs like that.
I skipped the previous Origin version as I prefer the normal Guncannon colors and design, very glad I did and can't wait to get this. I do love the revive kit, but this might overtake it.

Love these origin designs! I wish they’d animate the complete The Origin manga. They have so much content that differs from the original work that I think this would be a great reason to remake this Gundam series.
Why not get one revive and 2 origins then. The Origin is the only one with the missile pod backpack. So you can have both versions of the origin and the revive one on display.

It drives me nuts that you don't use the stickers. Yes certain kits have bad stickers or they make it look a little cheaper than it's meant to be but kits like this definitely gain more from them and tend to look more complete after they're put on. Idk it just kinda bugs me because I would like to see them fully completed when watching gunpla videos. You just happen to be the best channel for that so I deal with your sticker-less reviews even though it hurts me deeply (just kidding bout that last part I don't care about it that much just as long as you keep making videos I'm content lolol
It's pretty cool how Origins gives classic UC design tweaks to look a bit more modern.
That was the intent of the manga that started in the early 2000's these designs are from.

I've built the 2001 MG, it holds up surprisingly well. This looks pretty cool, might get one!
Bandai needs to re-release all of the Origin kits. The couple that I have a really good looking, but there are a few I would still like to get.

GL with the Union Flag the transformation sequence is good but the head and torso will be your nightmare

Why not get one revive and 2 origins then. The Origin is the only one with the missile pod backpack. So you can have both versions of the origin and the revive one on display.

What sticks out to me is that the feet aren't in red and yellow to match the color scheme, it just a plain grey color.
Guncanons Feet were always grey though. Same has his shoulders, joints and hands.
