    OK, you asked for it.
    1. You can claim twice as many uses because you can use it with your left or right hand
    2. You can use the nail puller feature to spray paint tear drops on your face after you kill the guy that doesn't pay for the work you did.
    3. Get another one and go climb a glacier or frozen waterfall with the pointed end.
    4. Call the manufacturer and tell him "Pretty" isn't spelled that way.
    5. You can score sheetrock with it so it breaks easier
    6. I'm not making any comments about keeping your crack clean, so lets move on.
    7. Crazy glue the big round cutout to your forearm and add fake blood to freak so you can leave work early and get a few paid days off.
    8. Scrape off your inspection sticker when the car is overdue and claim the windshield is new because its easier to fake a window receipt than an inspection sticker.
    and finally,
    9. At a red light, use the hole in the handle end to bend the car antennae of the schmuck that cuts you off on the way home.

Back when I was a painter decades ago this tool was a must have. It started out as a 5 in 1 before they started adding more “stuff” to it, screw driver bits, nail puller, bottle opener? etc. and it really was just 5 MAIN functions for painters. The pointy end is supposed to be used for cutting old caulking and getting it off (we also used it for screws on outlet covers). Also when opening the paint cans you should try pushing the handle down rather than twist it. Did you happen to notice every feature you mention is something a painter needs? That’s why they’re in the paint section in every improvement store.

Been using that tool for years! That 10 in 1 is in my electrical tool bag because it is so useful. I also use that same edge you used to open the paint can with as a scraper of mortar when tiling. as I finish a row of tiles, I uses that 1/2" straight edge to scrape along the edge of tiles to remove excess mortar so it does not ooze up between grout lines. We also uploaded a video last summer how we use the 10 in 1 tool to remove baseboards.

Great video Vince- As a glazer we always carried one. worked great for scraping old tape off of window frames, and adding shims into heavy glass u-channel to eliminate vibration. I also use the paint roller hook after I pry the paint can lid and can slid it in and run the hook along the can and it usually pops the lid open. I actually thought that was what its purpose was for, so I learned something. New subscriber here, keep them coming.

I am not in the construction world, but when I hired the second plumber to fix my pipe, he taught me how to buy items. When we were in Home Depot, both he and one of the employees there (people say they usually are retired plumbers who just be there to help people and have something to do) said among all tools, this is the MOST important one. If asking them what is the only item one can take for a construction job, the both said this is the one.
So, this is the really important tool any plumbers or DIYers need to learn, and buy a good quality one. Do not save money on this, because once you really know how to use it, you are actually saving more money by just buying a good quality one.

The heavy end is a drywall dimpler. Smoosh the holes then spackle. On butt joints rub the joint before taping to let the tape stay lower.
