    Hats off to you and Leslie. People don't realize the hard work and risk involved in running a business. Take it easy on the coffee.

    Outstanding video on many fronts....
    I really loved the business discussion and your transparency! I also really enjoyed hearing you talk about how you begin your day with the Bible. Wonderful witness!

    Great explanation. I'm working on building my "wood" business up.

      It’s not a hard business to run as long as you have a good supplier and you communicate with your customers. Everything else is easy.

    well done Jeff on your successfull business..... not by luck but by design and hard work. I can see how you maximize your use of time, even doing video walking from house to splitter and using coffee break too. Congrats also on your positive and bright outlook on life.

    That's a nice haul brother! Gotta love tracking, I did an episode where I detail how track (rudimentary) my sales (no need to watch it but your viewers may find it of value). Love it, keep cuttin'!

    Nice to hear that things move along. One thing I would not go back from is TCT-sawchains, those Tungsten Carbide Tipped teeth last long time. They are more expensive but save alot of time when changing chains falls out of the equation...

      I’ve tried one on my last processor- definitely last longer but I can’t sharpen them… it literally takes less than a minute to replace it on my TAJFUN

    That wood guy put a conveyer next to the dyna processor sawdust shoot to move the sawdust away from his processor. You can check out his setup on youtube

    • @thelogfather5002
      @thelogfather5002  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The conveyor is an ok idea- but the blower will ‘suck’ the chips and bits away from the machine- hopefully keeping it cleaner and less down time with random bark chunks clogging the work up. Thanks for the suggestion thought! I appreciate it. 😎

    From what I've observed of your sawmill videos, it seems you are mostly milling softwoods into dimensional lumber. How are you able to compete with other lumber yards and big box stores?

      Custom cut orders with full dimensions. Easy to get to and delivery too. To answer your question...service...plain and simple.

    That metric stuff can be confusing.
    Just talk inches and feet.
