This dude rips, and has been for years. Good to see him get some more love!
hes buttery
Agreed!
...and has DONE* for years
@@nickychimes4719that’s not correct either
Been watching his stuff for years too. He's done a whole series on Mullen tricks.
Thanks so much Nine Club for covering Jonny Giger. He’s so great.
Why doesn't this dude get more recognition? He is a super solid skater dude.
Cause he won’t stop talking…
Gotta get out to Cali, NYC, or the best spots in Europe. Skate shit people can relate to and say "damn I been there that was amazing what he/she just did." Not that I agree but it's a tale old as time pretty much.
True, I mean how many times do we hear at pros who never went pro until they moved to Cali and joined a team to go filming?
Because he's a youtuber and I don't think they get taken seriously. Although that is definitely changing with lots of professionals in sports doing TH-cam channels aswell now hence you are now seeing him get some more recognition.
Because he’s not in LA
Get this dude on the show guys, his skating is really pretty unique and deserves some more spotlight!
This.
Same thought here
@@BusenBingoBalthasar what’s he going to talk about? Collecting Pokémon and meeting Andy?
@@boosts14 Skateboarding
@@BusenBingoBalthasar he literally does is for money he says it at the end of his trick compilation “part” and say part loosely cause in 2.5 mins there wasnt a single line. Keep showin ur age bein born after 2010 makes sense youd loveee the yt skater😂🤡
Great to see you give Jonny some love. I have followed him for 10 years and it is quite interesting to see how pro skaters make a living nowadays.
💯
8:20 giger is such a perfectionist, it is hard for me to believe he let that mistake go if it was a mistake
That's what I'm saying.
Yea he almost definitely meant to do that or he wouldn't have put it in the video
no you're right.
he would of kept doing it over and over until he got the perfect clip
Correct. Any one of his outtakes he didn't deem good enough for the main part would be a trick of a lifetime for most skaters.
Yeah 100%. There's no way Giger wouldn't have kept filming until he got it right if that was a mistake. That bonk was absolutely on purpose. Knowing Giger, even if he did actually do it as a mistake on one of his first tries, which is possible, he would have realized he could do it on purpose and that would be the take he put in the video.
Jonny is such a humble guy and deserves more than he has. Hard worker.
He started doing a ‘tricks of Rodney Mullen’ series on his yt channel. Some of them would take thousands of tries. And I think it was actually genius way of training. Now his trick selection is so nutty
that double primo he did took him like 1600 tries. SO epic
thats i found him.. good stuff
I was so happy that you let the video play through him talking about his channel. Such a good and talented skater so he deserves the attention and you guys are true skater bros for platforming him.
He is so good! He also has a great personality. It's unfortunate he isn't getting enough support or even sponsorship to help it make ends meet.
It's 2025 bro, gotta hit rails or gaps &/or be a loud, extroverted personality that gains views a company thinks they can use.
It must be hard after working for a Scientologist and a corny/creepy brand for kids, that just goes to show how you got to be careful what sponsors you chose from the start.
@@palatialslumlord4938 Bro has 750k subs on youtube. He gets views for sure.
I think the reason he doesnt get mainstream recognition is just because his tricks are so technical that only other skaters can appreciate it! It looks insane to me when he flicks those crazy flips.
“That foot cause he’s bout to get under that thing” had me burst out in laughter bruh.
Hell yeah I was dying on that one
Hes good. Simple as that. I truly dont understand the hate he gets by some. He does his own thing. Seems to be super nice and nobody has a bad thing to say about him. Thats winning to me.
One reason he gets hate is for showing the process on some of the tricks where he shows 98 attempts to do a dragon flip to finger flip or something like that. Where a lot of part videos just show 3 to 1 attempts.
Also, in the YT world doing "Hardest Tricks of" whatever skater is modern era video fodder. Full respect to it being hard. But it is like top 10 listicles.
@@chrisfair11 So he gets hate because he is honest about the process of improving instead of pretending and showing off. People are so petty.
@@julianblake8385 they can do it, so they have to find a way to hate
this type of technical skating will always have it's own lane, and it's so enjoyable to watch
and the tech skaters are also very deep and philosophical too. Mullan, Anderson, Giger, even Vallely who is less tech but more spiritual.
@@menash23 not to get too deep but ya i see it. they all seem like wise dudes for sure
@@menash23ain’t that deep.
Ive been subscribed to Jonnys channel for years and when my teenage son was trying to work out a trick i told him to watch grigers how to video, which are incredible because he shows the whole process of learning a video.
Johnny is such an awesome skater! Love his TH-cam stuff, he's like the only skateboarder i watch regularly.
I love his TH-cam account where he tries and tries to nail a new insane trick. U can see and feel his passion, pain and drive and I love it!
Big big recommendation
so original, so clean, and makes it look soooo easy.... that's greatness
The grass will always be greener in the swiss alps
Doesn’t work that way.
Thank you guys so much for reviewing this incredible part ❤
He doesn’t get credit he deserves he got such a great bag of tricks, and super clean style . Bravo Johnny and this was 👌
I love that dude. I hadn't skated in over a decade, but seeing Jonny show all his misses before you see him land the tricks made getting back into skating a lot more approachable for me. Nothing but love for that Swiss Beast 🙌
Johnny is such a guy, one of the best skaters in the world
Giger deserves to blow up and be recognized for all of his hard work. Dude needs some sponsors!
Jonny Giger is one of my favorite skaters, y'all need to get him on the show or something. He's such an awesome dude. and yeah about him doing the normal tricks, he's spent literally thousands of hours practicing tricks of Rodney Mullen, and it's mostly on video on his channel. I think a lot of the typical flip tricks are mostly automatic for him simply because he has SO MUCH PRACTICE and is so familiar with how to control his board, and the physics of it all.
This guy is true to his artwork. The dedication and effort he puts in just to land it. Be he goes the extra effort to make it flawless. Underrated for sure
I love his style, not just the crazy tricks, but style wize he is so peek on how things looks that allways looks amazing
I love how you guys cant name a single trick in the vid... no worries us neither.
😂😂😂 I thought I was the only one
Sad nobody corrected "casper shuvit to casper?" in the moment (the primo slide combo) but otherwise can't blame em! Wild tricks!
Jonny Giger is amazing
Awesome skater, but more importantly, seems like a really nice, genuine guy. I wish him all the success.
I love Jonny. So stoked to see you covering him
Giger should be WAY more recognized and respected. Solid good dude and skater
He's such a great skater. His channel is well worth a sub.
Love Jonny. Good to see him getting noticed.
His Japan trip video is CRAZY!
I haven't skated since I was 13 when my dad accidentally ran over my skateboard with his car and refused to buy me another, but for some reason Johnny Giger showed up in my TH-cam feed last year and I liked his vibe and his videos of attempting and failing difficult tricks until he nailed them captivated me. Almost makes me want to buy a skateboard and try it again, even though my body would not be very appreciative or cooperative in my 30's. I somehow injured myself while I was sleeping last year, went to sleep fine woke up injured, so I don't think a hard slam would bode well for my ability to go to work and pay my bills.
So beautiful that he’s finally getting the love he deserve!
This guy rocks :-)
Jeron nearly thought critically for a sec then
Giger is as important as Andy or Rodney or Jake or Anybody
He out there grafting
Doing what he loves
Jonny rules. Class skater and class bloke.
How does he not have a god damn shoe sponsor, this industry is wacked
„Footplant heelbanger doubleflip“😂 I really LOVE this episode and how you’re trying to fully understand what he’s actually doing. Yes, he’s got fans😊Also, this makes up for my anger about the Bulard mockery. Love!
what mockery?... they joked about a green ai bucket...
With this review I get a whole new appreciation of this part. Crazy!
So glad you guys are showing off Jonny's part! Dude is awesome!
The dude is such a chill guy and down to earth. Then of course he gets so nuts on a skateboard that it is borderline hard to fathom.
Makes me think of certain artists, musicians or fighters. Ones who just go absolutely bonkers and brutal with what they do. Then you're shocked to find out they're some of the most humble down to earth gentle souls in person.
I think because for cetain ppl, they use these passionate pursuits as a cathartic release. Otherwise they'd go mad & possibly dangerous in day to day life
always love if u guys give cloud to johnny! somehow i lost track of you guys in my feed.... love you guys, greatings from Germany, North of Hamburg
Happy to see you give him some spotlight. ❤
JG is one of the best guys on earth. He has a huge heart and is always a humble guy. It is sad to see how underrated he is.
Johnny is next level, thanks for this one guys!🔥🤙🏼😎
naming jonny's tricks is harder than than reading off those street signs, sheeeesh.
Jonny is a beast and I can watch him for hours skating in front of his mountain!
Giger is just a unique creature. Inventive but also controlled. Usually you only get a heavy amount of either extreme which he seems to find a balance with both, in my opinion.
Giger is a monster. Don't sleep on this man.
Giger being Giger - I bet he meant to bonk it
He's a great technician. It's criminal how he hasn't blown up to the level of his skill.
Jonny Giger did an entire series of videos on Rodney Mullen tricks. He's very creative and entertaining to watch. I really enjoyed his series in Japan, some really talented skaters there too.
Kelly wants to talk shit so bad but he won’t lol.
JG kicks ass but is definitely off the beaten path.
JG is like “I guess you guys weren’t ready for that yet, but your kids are gonna love it”
ya lol you can tell it's just not his taste but lowkey Kelly should send him an éS box😅
Love the Part, trick selection and style. Jonny inspires me!
Giger is great, thanks for showing love❤
get him on the pod! he's probably ooone of my favorite skaters ever since I seen him a few years ago.
It’s sad that Braille did him and the rest like they did. Giger is a true testament to the soul of skateboarding. Happy he was able to hold it together last year!
it was like an almost round 3 part
7:30 he definitely meant to do what he did. He don't accept any trick from himself if it's not exactly 100% perfect every way
100% agree. they're buggin.
hope you will invite him to the show some day
Dude blows my mind every time I watch him.
How did I find it so funny when Kelly said come on we got a copyright Johnny has the best scenery when he skates
Get Jonny on the show! Hes so damn down to earth and so incredible as a skater
Giger is amazing, love to see him getting shine
Thanks for giving Giger the time. He deserves it.
Glad to see Johnny getting some love.
the tricks this guy does are incredibly difficult ! Real hard worker !
You think he's doing these tricks by accident? Lmao
Great to see the man get his flowers!
Jonny is such a good skater and person. I hope he manage and thrive while doing it.
Johnny is so good that people love to hate on him!?
If you count out his tricks then you are a giger counter. We all know he is radio active.
This part makes me wanna skate
I wanna sk8 and the feeling Is needed! Hi yaw!!!!
People finger flip outta 5.0 grinds but what about a tail grab out of manuel ?
After watching the very first trick, my mind JUMPED back to Rodney Mullen vs Daewon Song Round 2... Man, I wish I could go back to those days.
Yeah, you cant not love watching some Jonny Giger. His parts are always so insane and crazy technical.
The idea that any aspect of any trick in a Johnny Giger part wasn't intentional makes me think you fellas should watch more of his stuff. He'll run back a trick that he landed better than just about anyone's idea of good enough a dozen times until it happens exactly how he intended.
Did he mean to bonk..🙄
Love Johnny videos
Good Shit Giger
Giger is a legend, so glad to see him acknowledged here
Too bad it's taken this long for him to get some real recognition
Give this man some Shoes⚡️
Just to add some info with regards to sustaining yourself financially: Switzerland is a pretty expensive country to live in. Perhaps a standard income from youtube for a channel of his size is simply not that much for someone living in Switzerland.
Great creative teck skater and the world knows about it. Great fun to watch and emjoy.
Johnny is very authentic, cool guy
That was a perfect bonk(if any) .. that was intentionality superb.. Probably for sure better than I may come close to performing(if any), whereby if I start now there is high probability that I will NOT EVER be able to do that ……. In any case the trick Meets the threshold to exist simultaneously as with Bonk intentionally, Bonk Non Intentionally, No bonk intentionally, and no bonk non-intentionally is a forgone conclusion, nevertheless, better than 80-90-99 percent chance that I will Never ever be as great as Jonny Giger..
Everything he did was intentional. They're dismissing his skill
given the camera is at the perfect height to catch it I'd say it was deliberate but it probably took him many tries. Jonny's great but his strength is determination, which allows him to make parts like these.
@Jay_Simmies he's not killing himself to hit big gaps or rails, doesn't count bro
There was literally no bonk. It doesn't even touch.
@@shanebreezy4453 the first one does, you're watching the other attempt where he does it clean.
He is the only one I support on Patreon and he deserves it.
calling a primo a casper is wild 10:30
Keep in mind YT pays differently depending where you live, and hes in EU where its expensive as shit comparatively. If he took some sponsors he could probably make more and theres other avenues but Patreon allows him to avoid that given the negative effect it can have on your videos, sometimes. I think especially for his kind of video style.
Came across Johnny a few years back. Really a pure street skater.
He lives in Switzerland, the costs of living are ridiculously high, so the TH-cam Money doesnt do much, compared to someone living in a cheaper Country.
I love to watch jg he is up there at the top flatground game ❤
Johnny did a whole series of videos of him doing Rodney Mullen tricks. The 360 halfcab primo slides one was nuts. Over 13,000... if you wondered how many it takes. There are a few on the way that most people would take, but Johnny is too loving and respectful to the viewers to accept it. He rocks and he doesn't have a shoe sponsor now. With all due love and respect, if i were running Globe I'd have had him a while ago.
Guys just to warn you.The algorithm is quickly removing your Show from everybody's feed because they don't watch the show because it's behind a paywall...this is gonna backfire spectacularly. Penny wise.. pound foolish.
Giger didn't get a fair shake at botb appearances. Someone fly this guy out.
He made a video where he threw out the braille shoes. He's cut ties with Revive at this point as far as I'm aware.
This man is a legend and deserves success
