It does, on the record it was played by Pino Palladino on his fretless Music Man bass, but the video featured Lee on an upright bass, so it would certainly be interesting to see Lee play it on his Dingwall.

Pino had/has a similar sound, a similar hand, if I recall correctly.
Sometime around '03 or '04 I slipped into Disney's "Tarzan" show at the Animal Kingdom. It was then that I fell in love with this song (performed live) with some of the very gifted Disney musicians. It was about then that I began to wonder why I was playing 6 and 12 string guitar when I was "hearing" bass. Shortly thereafter I bought a P bass and never looked back. 'Tis well to hear you play this song!

I think your videos here are great. They have the effect of isolating the bassline, and help the audience get a real appreciation for it. Back a few decades ago I was gifted an album called Spectrum. The guy who fronted the band was an awesome drummer named Billy, but the bass groove on Red Baron had a masters touch. I still listen to that album and would thoroughly enjoy a reprise of your performance of that song. (If you do requests that is)

At Disney's Tarzan Rocks, we played this every day! What I like is how it changed gears on the second verse. Loved the progression of anticipations/ Crashes throughout. Second verse at ;18 seconds , third verse at 1:15 ...I transcribed the single version. Second verse got a bit more Motown-ish. All the best! i do not know what is it, that when i watched the phil collins concert( DVD), i think the last tour concert. i instantly notice the melody of the bass which is by me it stands out during the concert, then my curiosity is who is this bass player. to me i think you are the best bass player of all i have known. thanks!
By the way, a friend of mine was curious about fan fretting, and rather than look it up, I thought perhaps you could do a brief explanation, since you were the first to explain it to me, and I have so little brain power to retain anything, I wouoldnt be doing it justice.
