- Hello everyone,
On todays episode we meet John and his awesome Civic EG hatch! So cool to see a young builder get the same joy from this older Hondas. I appreciate John for making the time for us but most importantly to his dad for teaching him how to like cars. I am glad that he chose Honda as his continue build. He got this hatch when he was in high school and today he continues to build it to his standard. I am thankful for the time and everyone else who shows support! #automotiveanatomy

Non-VTEC torque is so underrated. I used to autocross a 96 Integra GS and I always outperformed the VTEC Hondas. The B20 will be the perfect powerplant for an EG. I appreciate this build.
Man these kids now and days are lucky to have their parents by their 1st car. That's what's up though.
Man what a beautiful hatch!! The EG hatches and EJ coupes are the best looking Civics ever built in my opinion. Timeless good looks.👌🏽🔥🔥Owner needs to paint match the door handles white and it will be Perfect.
Maybe in your opinion they are the best looking but EFs, EEs, EDs are the best looking Civics and CRX

Any swap will do as long as it runs well and decent rims and paint is all you need no need to over modify your whip less is more
just get a b20 bottom end and do b20v with that b16 head with CTR cams , Scat rods and nippon CTR piston.. you'll have a big smile on your face on the track and street.. daily..

Did I hear LS transmission? B16 is fun but it's slow compared to a B20. And a B20 is dirt cheap and pair it with a GSR transmission is the perfect engine for a daily driver.

I have a 92 EG Si it has a B16A SiR I love the way it sounds and I enjoy driving it ,EG's will always be appreciated for its look,I have Gram light wheels like his CX model with 225/45/15's Toyo R1R's it grips like you wouldn't believe.
I just bought my first hatch today. It is also a CX and has a b18b, sitting on Kosei K1 wrapped in R888s. The grip is hilarious. The little 140hp car runs away from traffic as soon as the road bends. I have always owned DB8s and I have one now but the eg hatch seems a little more special.

I remember early 2000 ish, I was one of the first to get those js racing lip and it cost 700 bucks shipped. I was only 21, crazy now I think of it to spend that much money on a lip.
