I think because they might struggle to do the next film with the way Smile 2 ended, my prediction for Smile 3 is that it could be a prequel. Like how the curse began maybe or who Victim A was lol. Or it could zero in one of the people affected by the ending. Excited to see what they're going to do!
A lot of fans think morris wasn’t but here’s my reasoning for *why he is real* If you listen during the scene when she’s talking to morris in the bar. Her phone is constantly ringing back to back to back. The smile demon is trying to distract her because it doesn’t want her to listen to what morris was saying. Notice how morris doesn’t acknowledge the fact her phone was ringing thus the phone ringing was only in her head and morris was the real deal. Also the people in the bar acknowledge Morris as well and ask who she’s with. The smile demon took full control of her after this because Morris could have actually helped her. Also the smile demon can only mimic people Skye has seen before. Also why would the demon give info on how to beat it
I was confused on him because what was he doing in Louis apart while he dead and why go through his phone but he solved the puzzle 🧩 for him because he said he seen sky was the last to text him But why was he there in the first place?
@@Aaliyahbaby19 well remember he said he was following the trail of the smile demon and he talked about Rose from the last movie as well and the cop and Lewis and now and now Skye. I don’t remember the movie too well but who knows if Lewis had a lock or passcode on his phone. And she was the very last person to text him so it makes sense that if he did get into his phone, he would find Rose.
I love that it is a continuation of the first one but my one big gripe with this one is how how jarring the ending was. Her snapping out of some kind of delusion just as she's about to perform came out of no where. Since she was wearing an outfit that earlier in the film she had hated when she tried it on was she actually trapped in a delusion since then??
@@tylerphillips6523 it worked in the first film since it was a tiny part of the 3rd act but here it looks like 3/4 of the film she's stuck in a delusion in her mind????
Yea that was a big complaint for me. I was really trying to figure out when the delusion started. Then I also was unsure if the Morris character even existed & if he did, I guess the actual story of him trying to help went no where
I think some parts could be delusions, like maybe her meeting with Gemma (although that's debatable since she answered the phone in a moment of delusion), but maybe she only went full crazy after the group of smiling demons attacking her.
I loved it as well. It was the most predictable ending in my opinion, but the way we got there was just perfect, and the entities final appearance was just so cool
Just saw it and i loved it too. Really showed the power of the demon in that it can give such strong and long delusions. For me the ending was actually the best part of the movie. It worked extremely well for me

I really thought this movie would be the end of the smile demon but to be honest I’m glad They didn’t end it, it only built more suspense for the next movie overall i think these series of movies will definitely be top 10 scary movies of all time. I loved this review your a great youtuber
Parker Finn's next film that he's writing/directing before Smile 3 is a remake of the CLASSIC 1981 film "Possession". If you're not familiar with that movie, check it out because it's fantastic... weird as hell and disturbing but really, really good.
I’m a HUGE movie lover/fanatic especially horror movies, aspiring business owner and actress. I’ve already watched 44 new movie releases in the movie theater this year including Smile 2 which I throughly enjoyed. This was another good movie review. ❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed the review. Crazy story, so I’m at exactly 44 new movies in theaters as well this year 😆 Good luck with acting and all the other stuff. Lmk whenever you act in something and feel like sharing it. Would love to check it out.
I loved the first movie so much! I was so happy that they made a sequel. What I love most about it is just how absolutely evil the entity is. Like you can tell it absolutely loves torturing and giving false hope to its victims. It purposely makes its victims think it has a chance just to rip that hope away and leave them with nothing before it consumes them. I just hoped that the sequel would just be as good, but it actually is better!
I loved both smiles. Yes the 2nd one had some cheesey jump scares. as a matter of fact, I actually wasn't scared at all by smile 2 and i LOVE horror movies and im really critical when it comes to the genre, but i still really enjoyed smile2. The acting was great, and loved the writing. They left so much open for creativity. In the 3rd They could have Joel's six days mixed with whatever happens to the thousands of Skye Riley fans that could of potentially got infected by whatever the hell this is. For all we know, maybe its not a demon or a ghost, maybe its some kind of Alien psychological bio weapon that weakens their pray inorder to invade and occupy. All those people in the concert could spread it around to multiple people and so on and so forth until all of NYC is on fire and beyond. Point is, it could be anything. They left so much room to think big and make an amazing franchise completely outside of the box of expectations!!
Notice , in pt1 everyone around her told the doctor 👩⚕️ to go home because she was being overworked but she didn’t listen and ended up with the evil entity . Pt 2 shows the same when sky mother told her to go home and get rest they BOTH DOD NOT LISTEN ! Remember when Louis (drug dealer) texted sky to come over but when she get there he forgot he asked her to come over and even freaked out and forgot she was there ! The entity so strong that it lured her demise to latch on from him . Fast forward to when sky asked Gemma to come over but forgot she asked her to come? On that note Gemma was the evil entity the whole time because I’m the car scene she asked the real Gemma have she ever been to her place the real Gemma on the phone call said NO haven’t seen her in a year and asked her about the weird text messages! Sky being In The dressing room with her mother i feel she was hallucinating the whole time because the ending she have on the same dress she didn’t want to wear and everyone was alive including her mother. Morris is tricky.. I believe he was real up until the pizza 🍕 freezer. But I give him the side eye because what was he doing in Louis apartment while he dead and why go through a dead man phone . I’m on the edge of him being real or the entity used Morris to trick sky even more! 🤔 With Gemma walking in her an apartment was fake ! Gemma was never in her apartment
I believe in SMILE 3 , Her mother including a group of people (sky fans) will get together to figure out what really happened to Sky to make her want to kill herself because some believe she did it because of her past struggles and traumas but some believe she was dealing with something more sinister. They would soon find out despite them being cursed as well but sadly some would take the bait and the entity will pull some of them in but in the end I believe they would the destroy the SMile DEMON! But give us a plot twist at the end to have us thinking more ..
So what I’ll say is I’ve loved Naomi Scott since Lemonade Mouth and when she was in Aladdin. Girl can sing for sure. Smile 2 was such a fun ride and this movie was definitely meant for the girls, gays, and theys that pay attention to popstars and the zeitgeist that they’re thrown into. The scene when she is signing stuff with Alfredo gave off the vibes of what happened to Christina Grimmie, the new short haircut and ripping her hair out was giving Britney Spears’s breakdown in 2007, and the car accident reminded me of Miranda Cosgrove when she was on tour and got into a horrible bus crash. Every little detail in this movie surrounding Skye Riley and the trauma she is facing felt real. The entity in this felt crueler, calculated, and I’m excited to see how a third film can now spread. My theory is the third will focus on a string of un-alivings of fans at that show, and it being a commentary on Stan culture and fandom. The route they could go is something like when Justin Bieber started dating Selena Gomez a bunch of young girls self-harmed themselves because they were upset Justin was dating her. I think Smile 2 deserves some flowers for Naomi Scott’s performance and I enjoyed the comedy parts of Smile 2 actually because that also felt realistic to have humor too. Sorry for the long essay. Thank you for the video and you’ve got a new subscriber for sure. 🤍🤍🤍
I don't think smile 3 is going to be mass smile demons. The thing needs fear and cracked damaged people who had all been said to have already seen someone die. Laura's grandfather, the professor who gave it to her his brother twenty years ago, rose and then Joel as a detective and cop in New York he's probably caused or seen a death already.
I watched it on Sunday and enjoyed it a lot, I just wished to be as scared as I was during the first one and I was not not 😢 But Naomi ate her role and delivered a great performance, great movie for spooky season 🎃
I absolutely loved this movie. In all seriousness, Naomi Scott deserves an Oscar. I loved her character and sympathized with her even though she had a LOT of flaws and issues. Two hours very rarely goes by so fast. I love the scene with her on the piano because it shows she isn't just some vapid pop star. She is actually capable in writing her own music. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of dark humor in her. There really wasn't any in the first. 9/10 film with a 10/10 performance.
The whole damn movie ends with absolute chaos. The rules of the demon? Thrown out the window. The lore? Who needs it when you can just do whatever the hell you want, right? And now we're left sitting there, staring at the screen, with that "WTF just happened" face. Skye's supposed "hero moment"? A joke. She didn't get the demon. The demon got her-and the entire world. And let me tell you, if they think they can pull off a Smile 3 after this? They better have one hell of a fucking plan, because the only thing this movie did was ruined everything.
It's crazy how similar Smile 2 and The Substance are, both are about mental illness and celebrities who get some sort of other worldy thing, and the endings are so similar. I think The Substance does a better job at portraying how a mental illness can destroy someones life and has a much more interesting plot and just a overall more out-there different and highly entertaining movie all the way through. While Smile 2 really doesnt start to pick up until the later half of the movie. I did watch Smile 2 before watching Smile 1 (I watched it right after watching Smile 2) so I was missing a lot of the context that could of made it better for me, but I'd still stick with my opinion that The Substance was a little bit better overall
I preferred the original too be honest. The monster wasn’t as scary in the 2nd film, especially at the end, it looked so goofy and not scary at all like it did at the end of the first movie. I think the 3rd needs to go all out and make it so that everyone in the concert gets possessed for witnessing her death.
