I Think I Figured Out Why I Couldn't Renew My Philippines Visa Online (But Not Sure)

- The last time I tried to renew my Philippines visa online, it kept getting rejected for some unknown reason. The glitch cost me an overnight trip to Cebu City to visit the immigration office. I may have figured out why.

A king , im your neigbour in kawit ,,i followed your system on the first waiver visa,thanks worked great ,no hastle,next coming up first week of august is the 2 months extension with the immigration card,,hopefully i can do all online,,,save so much time and traffic headacke ,,if not ,oh well bus ride it is ,,,,thank for your advise.

I'm in philippines as a permanent resident on 13A visa, and pay around 300 peso a year for annual reporting.

Guess you were just unlucky. I flew Cebu Pacific to Manila and then Hawaiian to Honolulu. Had no problems at all.

I have a true answer for you from immigration whenever you are doing the online renew for your visa if you type one number one letter wrong it's going to fail and tell you to report to the immigration office that's for your security this happens with everybody so when you type in your information and make sure that it is correct

Mark, just another hickup in living in the PHI. Hey, what made you settle in an area 5 1/2 hour north of Cebu. I almost settled in San Remigio, but that's another story. Cheers.
I want to apply online for a tourist visa waiver extension (29 days) after arriving (later the same day). There is no information on any BOI websites stating when you can or can not apply online. I emailed the BOI to ask if there's any problem with applying later the same day as arriving or the following day, and they replied "We recommend waiting until 7-10 days before your initial 30-day period." I again asked if they could speak to my specific question - is there any reason why someone can't apply after arriving in the PHL or the next day, and they said the exact same thing (recommend 7-10 days before 30-day expiration). Seems impossible to get an easy answer to an easy question.

Mine was denied also,went to my bi office they had no explanation,renewed it in an hour...........of course i had to pay again.either the web site isn't working correctly or the gov just found a new revenue stream.
Are you still on tourist visa since you mentioned 2 month visa. Marriage visa not a good option for you?

I had the same error message, made a trip to the BI, after some discussion, it’s believed that the ACR renewal threw my online registration off. Since, I’ve been able to extend my visa online. I’ll see if this repeats next year when I have to re-up my ACR 😎

I just did it, they accepted my money, then 5 days later it was denied. It was denied because I have been here over a year. They know this upon submission but take your money anyway. No refunds. Kinda scammy, but I take blame for not knowing that.
The puzzle piece you are missing is that when you apply online and submit payment, it's not instantly scanned or reviewed - so they do not "know this upon submission (you being here over a year). They discover this upon reviewing your information, and then deny it. The no refunds is standard, as the same goes for every country in the world if you apply for a visa at their embassy - there are no refunds if the visa is denied or refused.
