    If a vegan did this to a farmer it would be all over mainstream media but because it was the other way round they won't even mention it,Thanks to everyone at PBN for reporting what the mainstream media won't.

      Grow Your Heirlooms that's unlikely he gets any joy from killing, rather he likely sees it as an unpleasant but valuable service to pepole. Its mostly believed, (especially by country folk who are used to doing it that way )for various reasons that we on a societal level need to use animals to get enough nutrition out of the countryside to provide for everyone. I think this is generally wrong. But imagine believing this.

      You may be right and I shouldn't be so quick to judge what's in his heart, but given his temper I just made an educated assumption that he takes all of this personal so I would suggest he carries around a little guilt about it. I would also suggest he likes confrontation due to his quick exit from the car to engage. So, if he likes to fight, he probably likes killing animals too. They go hand in hand. Conversely, I equate indifference to the joy of eating animals. If someone is indifferent to the killing of animals for any purpose, then the only emotion that is left, is the joy from consumption of them. So in essence I correlate the two. Probably a little too judgemental on my part.

      He doesn't see it as unpleasant, he was laughing at their activism and at laying down flowers for animals that are about to be killed. To him, animals are things and human commodities whose lives, unlike, humans', have no value whatsoever - their suffering doesn't matter. He thinks of animals the same way some people thought about blacks during the slavery period - that they're nothing, and it's irrelevant whether they're suffering or not. Your statement is true for a vast majority of consumers, but not for this one and those like him.

    They need a shift in their mind, only then they will understand and feel what it's all about

    The solution will be in FARMERS becoming part of the solution rather than part of the problem. The smart farmers are already open to moving to horticulture. MY FATHER already did that - from dairy - in New Zealand in 1972, and became a pioneering avocado and kiwifruit commercial grower in this country. Which he was much happier about too. Entrenched stubborn animal farmers - will ultimately be facing economic effects in a changing world.

    There's a fine line between being patronizing and expressing empathy. Definitely context has a huge part and what's guiding the narrative, but we also need to be aware of our own personal behavior. Do I think that Ed did poke the bear and egg them on ?, sure but it still doesn't mean that the farmer should have behaved in such an aggressive manner as to want to physically assault Ed for calling the farmers responses as pathetic. In my opinion, from someone who lives across the ocean on a different continent, when I see an activist engaging in a conversation, knowing full well why these people are laughing at the activists but wanting to engage in a conversation, it's a slippery slope to say that he was genuinely inquisitive as to what they found amusing. It's clear from my standpoint, when farmers (or other animal industry employees) are mocking activists; they're doing so because they find the activists week and probably pathetic, in their eyes. Perhaps the farmer realized during the conversation, that Ed was not this meek and overtly sensitive activists afterall all, and felt challenged and threatened. None the less, I'm quite disappointed that this guy can assault 3 people and get away with it. I'm thankful that nobody got seriously hurt and that this was recorded. Thank you, and for everyone else who bear witness, and for being a voice for the animals.

      Steph Ss Ed never provoked this guy.. not in my opinion.. he continuously asked what was so funny and the guy was already 90% angry bc he, Ed, would dare stand up for these "products".. to give them a voice.. so he lashed out at him bc he became frustrated that he couldn't just say what he wanted, he was outnumbered after all, "I think you're an idiot for speaking up for animals" it's sad that ppl like this guy are in charge of anyone's life, let alone hundreds of thousands of innocent animals.. but he's only one of hundreds like this.. just my opinion on this :)

    • @FruitflyBat
      @FruitflyBat 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steph Ss I'm going by what Ed said because you're right he was there.. plus I am an activist and have been physically assaulted for the same reason this happened.. so I speak from experience.. but again as I said in my last response, this is MY OPINION..

    • @FruitflyBat
      @FruitflyBat 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Steph Ss you just did
      Btw I'm not trying to be rude but I've been in this situation and it's scary but to place the blame on Ed for someone else's actions isn't right.. this guy didn't have to stop there and make a show of laughing at these activists.. but he did.. he engaged with hatred and sarcasm, he was already angry obviously, and Ed can not be blamed for that.. not even if Ed called him anything worse than pathetic *which he didn't he said his answers or his attitude was pathetic* I simply gave my opinion on what might have led up to this altercation.. it just seems like Ed is getting the bs from something he couldn't control, another person.. violence is never okay, violence only creates more violence.. so it doesn't matter what set the guy off.. he assaulted Ed and two other activists but didn't go to jail.. what did Ed do so wrong to be blamed for that?? Sticks and stones, my friend..

    That farmer must’ve been eating way too much meat makes him too angry and violent. I have seen a TH-cam video where activists came down into the ring during the bullfight, and they were blocking the bull from getting harmed/murdered by the Torero guy. Well, everyone in that audience who came to see the bullfighting also came down into the ring, and began to attack the peaceful activists. You should have seen it, those people in the audience who came to see the bullfighting were acting like wild beasts. They were so extremely violent, and hateful. You can just see the hate and anger in them. They were attacking the peaceful activists who were simply sitting down on the ground holding hands, and blocking the bull from getting hurt. The people in the audience were pulling the activist’s hair, punching them in the head, one guy pulled on the girl activist’s shirt, and ripped off her bra. It was so scary. I’m not surprised that the bullfighting audience would behave this way, that is why they get a thrill and pleasure out of watching violence and harm being done to the bull

I can imagine when the animals try to run away from him and struggle so they try not to be killed, he gets annoyed and goes full animal pain mode. Carnists need to stop thinking that slaughterhouses have such happy unicorn, sparkly flower standards protected by the Law because they don't! This is not going to be reported in mainstream media. It does not fit with their agenda or stereotype. Ed is absolutely right, we need to support farmers and encourage them to make the change. We need to show that we're compassionate and can help effect change. This does mean we need to take crap or physical abuse, but that we must try to be as non-aggressive as possible. History shows it is always the behaviour of activists on whom the media concentrates as opposed to the perpetrators.

    The rise in Urban Farming will also make the change that rural farmers will need to redress if they want to stay in business.
    But not forgetting that many farms are now run by Farm Managers that have no control over the produce that is produced there because the farms are owned by business' like McDonalds that take the farming subsides from the Government paid for by tax payers that support the products they sell through their franchises.
    Veganic grown food is the future for sustainable food production if we want to feed the world, but please make a change yourself at home and try and grow at least even one produce that you eat with a surplus to share with friends.

    This needs to be sent to as many news outlets as possible. I know half are in the pockets of the dairy industry but there must be some willing to put this out.

      Rishabh Gupta that farmer was probably just overly aggressive due to his arteries being clogged and the need of a Viagra prescription. It tends to make guys more aggressive than they should be.
