Maxpedition truly makes some of the best packs/bags/pouches...etc.
Like your videos, especially the humorous out-takes. Keep 'em coming!
Love the bloopers at the end as always!
THX Sootch!~!
REALLY LIKE THEIR PRODUCTS !!
3 Maxpedition bags myself ALREADY!!
Like your bumper music ALSO !!
Great review and I was laughing at the out-takes. XD Thanks Sootch!
That bag seems virtually bulletproof !!!!!
Looks like an awesome backpack. I think it will be my next backpack since i am incredibly impressed by the quality of the maxpedition gearslinger.
Solid review. Thanks for your efforts.
Another awesome video brother, well done.
Somehow missed this review ... I wasn't looking at the screen for the bloopers and nearly fell out of my chair with the, "maxpedition, it doesn't retain... (Bottle sound) $&!@"...
Love the reviews
you do some great informative videos.
Nice pack - great review as always!
Thanks for sharing the info. I've been looking for another nice pack.
Thanks for the review, looks like a great pack.
Maxped has some really great gear. Great review :)
Thanks for yet another great review! Thanks to your Maxpedition reviews in the past I have now have four of their packs. Awesome!
Thanks Sootch... maybe going on the Christmas list!
top notch as always Don
Looks great! They do stuff right!
Looks like a really great mid-sized pack.
Great review, i love the gray model. 5:05 You have a super small spider, do not panic sir hehehe.
great vid scotch does a good job he makes p 101 look like a rookie.
Great video as usual. Looks like a great pack.
Another great review, your one of very few that will review a product and............actually show it being worn.
Hi Sooth I love your vids, everything you say makes sense. I like the bag its does what its made for, keep pumping out those vids, Good Luck from Ireland bye Peter...
sooth???????
good job sootch
Looks like a 511 pack built by Maxpedition, and that's not a bad thing. Looking at the support rod I kept thinking it could double as a splint if need be.
Top notch review as always Sootch.
Very helpful review. thanks
Awesome, checking them out now.
Thats one nice pack
Nice pack! I look at all the stuff coming out now and all I can think is how much I would've appreciated this stuff when I was still tramping around in the woods & mountains at every opportunity! (That's especially of modern, high intensity LED flashlights that put out hundreds of lumens on high but last hundreds of hours on low!)
Just as a random thought, depending on what you are doing (whether or not this is suitable) you could probably put a pocket carry holster in the sleeve on the belt, and use it so you have quick and easy access to a small handgun (in case of dangerous wildlife, etc)
Great video! Maxpedition does make some quality products. I sure do like my Maxpedition Condor II backpack. Reviewed by Sootch00, which lead me to purchasing it.
Great review!
I'm looking into getting another pack. I have both Maxpedition and 5.11 and love them both.
I have a Vanquest pack and love it too.
The world should be so lucky as to have the problem I have as which pack to choose.
My dream pack? If 5.11 could take the "Prime" pack, internalize all the molle and make it a "covert" bag, then offer it in wolf grey, and perhaps add a few ammo buffalo pouches! Now THAT would be a pack!
sold! shut up and take my money! haha awesome review sir very helpful
Almost identical to my 5.11 Tactical pack
In a pinch you could take two of the internal panels and make some fins.
I love maxpedition, I have the condor and lot of accessory bags to go with it , quality all the way, pricy but worth the money
Sootch that's some really good brand and there's no doubt of that but I'm a disabled vet( not service related-they say ) and there is no way I can afford that stuff. could you try and do more on surplus or lower priced anyway. I know that's not going to put any money in your pocket but it sure will help guys like me. Anyway I really enjoy what you do your one of the best..............
Very nice! I do wonder if Maxpedition will start using a hydrophobic coating to make their bags totally water proof.
Hey Sootch, really enjoy your vids. Thanks for bringing them to us. By the way what is the music (composer/theme) you used in this review? Very cool tune, sounds like a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and Master and Commander.
Nice bag, but i am sticking with my condor II. Best pack ive ever owned
AWSOME REVIEW!!!!! But I need to look in to it further before buying it.
Is the 511 RUSH 24 the same size as the MAXPEDITION ZAFAR?
hey Guys, I just ordered the xanthra. And i will try and do a nice review of it.And i have also noticed that looking for reviews this has been the only review for the new Packs from maxpedition..
Hello from the UK I've watched both of your reviews on this bag and the 5.11 rush 12 in your opinion using both of them which would you say is the better of the two backpacks both were great reviews may I add thank you neil
long live the republic - indeed
Bro when I saw this on their website I was like, "Sootch has to review this." Thanks for the vid, keep em' comin friend.
maxpedition is the greatest!!!!
Sootch I am a big fan of your videos I was just wondering is spiderco knifes the ones where you close them from where the blade is next to it are those good knifes too
Very good .
Good backpack.
i Have been a fan of maxpedition for a long time. i am also a fan of osprey. which brand do you perfer for a daypack?
Nice review, but I can buy 2 brand new USMC assault packs, each 2000CI of space and look better and perform better for less than the cost of 1 of these.
looks like a great bag... How much is it going for?
Still loving my Xantha after twelve months of use
what back pack would you recomend for someone on a budget?
Very nice pack! 24hr pack? Will this pack pass through airport security with that aluminum bar?
Nice question. I also want to know. Please somebody give us the answer.
Sootch...Maxpedition's site says the Condor 2 and Xantha both hold 32 litres. Does that make any sense? Which is right / wrong?
i wonder if Maxpedition pulls vids that point out they're made overseas. seems to be a pertinent point in gun reviews, knife reviews, clothes reviews, belt reviews, etc. why in the world will noone point out the elephant in the room here?
They are made in Taiwan but so are most of your gear including 511 and BlackHawk. I buy U.S. made whenever possible but all the above are making good quality bags.
sootch00: What color was the Zafar pack you reviewed in this video?
I've heard maxpedition packs aren't good for bigger guys. I'm 6'5" and have a big barrel chest, do these fit bigger guys well?
Could this really be used for a 3 day trip as per the comment below? I.e. would it have room for a tent, sleeping bag and food? It seems a bit small for that.
Is that the "foliage green"? Because on the website it looks so grey
Thanks sootch00 your review was honest and true. I would blindly buy anything you recommend buddy. Im hoping i dont go blind and ya put me in some pink boots.:)
That'd be mean, HILARIOUS, but mean. :)
No worries there Brother. I believe in saving the TaTa's but I have to draw the line somewhere! Lol!
Awesome backpack, really want it but $250 is a "little" to pricie for something made in china. But nice vid please put out more of these and have a nice day.
How big is it on the inside from the front to the back and from the left to the right?
How do you like the ENO hammock? I saw you rocking one in your pack. Just wondering what your thoughts of one was for a lightweight choice for a pack.
Absolutely love it. I used it last weekend in the rain and slept like a baby.
i am looking for a backpack for school. I have the falcon II already for my "get home back" i want something a little less tactical but love maxpedition. How do you think this bag will do for carrying around campus with books?
Tom Lisowski It should give you plenty of room and is comfortable on the shoulder or back with the internal frame design.
Sootch,,, is it possible to exchange the waist belt of the backpack with the infidel war belt, they are both 4ins wide so I am guess it is possible,,,, but I was wondering, is that a good Idea?
I don't know but that would be a great combo! I'll have to try it and put on my FaceBook page. Thanks for the idea.
Sootch, I noticed you have a ham radio ht, what is your call (if you don't want to give it out I understand)
Don't care for the water bottle holders on any bag. Prefer water bladder pouch. They should add internal mag/pistol pouch. Maybe add an armor pocket. Mollie on sides of the pack. Maybe they could make a chest pack like the Hill People gear did.
I am considering buying either the Condor II or the Zafar. Aside from the $100 cost difference favoring the Condor II, Which do you recommend?
Thanks
I really like the Condor. For extended hikes the Zafar is going to be more comfortable so I'd go with the Zafar. If you're on short trips or a go bag, the Condor is still an excellent bag. Thanks~
Hey sootch, just wonder how tall you are? I'm 5"3, and was wondering if this pack would work for me? Thanks for all the great videos!
what a stupid question buddy... im sorry, but what a silly question..... work it out yourself, because if you cant you really shouldnt be out on your own
That guy is a jackass and he wears women's panties. That pack would probably be just fine for your hight.
Thanks for the review. What color ist this Zafar (Foliage Green or OD Green)? Greeting from Austria.
Foliage green
how much weight can you comfortably carry w that? 50 pounds or more?
looks like nice pack, nice review but seems little over priced $239.....ouch.
Can you open them zips quietly ?
Please review the Xantha.
thank you
You look way better without the goatee sootch. Question: Do you wish your clothes were triple polyurethane coated?
more cushion for the pushin'
"Egg crate" design, not "egg shell."
Love the reviews. Keep it up!
Hmmm.... I wonder if they got any design ideas from the 5.11 rush series..haha
I have a 511 Rush 24 and it's a totally different bag.
will a nalgene bottle fit in the sides?
Looks like the Tenzing 2200
Lmao this stuff is so funny. What are you looking for in those woods? Stalking someone ? Lol
Hey!!!! He is the ultimate prepper dont be a hater!!! He is keeping the zombies away from our homes!!!!
I used to think it was goofy too, but I found myself wishing more reviewers actually wore the pack through different walking and stooping positions like this fellow. Method to the madness I suppose, eh?
Hola soy Héctor Martínez usted me venderia esa mochila ?? Me gusta la mochila
Does anyone know what kind of boots he is wearing?
i dont know but the best boots is warrior blackhawk
Ithink those are Timberlands.
Judging by the sole, it looks very much like a pair of Belleville 390 hot weather boots.
A++++
Sad part is id be proud of um.
Sorry sootch. It's a very nice pack, I was just having a bad day
I think I ill stick to my 70$ condor pack cause maxpedition is ridonkulously expensive
Are you a big of MAXPEDITION or a true fan of MAXPEDITION?
Maxpedition has a long history of zippers blowing out. They routinely refuse to honor their so-called "lifetime warranty." Their packs are very durable, but what good is that when your zipper is blown? All Maxpedition packs are overpriced. Many other companies offer superior products . I recommend the 5.11 Tactical RUSH72 Backpack which comes in 7 different colors (ranging from multicam to grey) and costs only $138 on Amazon. This pack will outlast and outperform Maxpedition 3:1.
really nice pack but at $215!
$240!!!!! Us poor people cant afford packs like that. Looks like ill have to keep using my $15 backpack with Anakin Skywalker on it. Great review though!!!
I like the product. But is a bit expensive for something made in Taiwan. But I must say Taiwan manufacturing is better than Chinese.
Too expensive. 5.11 Rush all the way!!!
Nice pack but I try and buy everything made in the U.S.
I do not like the side bottle pockets because they are permanent . They should have pals webbing in place of bottle pockets . I own a Falcon 2 and it also has short comings . I feel Maxpedition throws together their products without any critical thinking . Maxpedition does not like to have any complaints . But they could use some customer feed back for product improvement. They do make a quality product but not perfect.
Overpriced overseas made.
200$ = NO
