Another great design! It looks like the right size for EDC or GHB, and the ability to convert it makes it a good choice for a daypack to go hunting or hiking. Gettin' added to the list.
My bag went into the lake after an accident. I have the falcon 2. (black) had my camel installed in it and it floated for about 45min and it was practically totally dry. I was very surprised. That bit of extra quality materials and the design really does make em work it. If I had a cheaper look alike my bag wouldnt have been dry. oh and some of the loose stuff stayed on too.
I discovered Maxpedition two years ago. I bought a remora, EDC versapack and a falcon2 backpack. You can buy less expensive bags yes, but you'll buy them over and over. Spend the money on a Maxpedition and they'll last forever and save you money in the long run.

wow, this is the layout i have been looking for. i love everything about it. i even like the fact that its not covered in molle. a bit costly for me at the moment however, but thats not saying that it isnt worth the price.
One of my biggest complaints about the Gearslingers is, the padded strap is too wide. This strap is even wider than those, so I imagine it will be a pain in the ass like the other ones are after a while. As a backpack, it looks like a solid choice. I currently own 3 different size Gearslingers.

What I found really interesting is that I don't know what part of the States you shot those outdoor scenes but it looks for all the world like the places that I chase Aussie bass here in South East Queensland. I have Maxpedition bags and I like them a lot but find that they are very overpriced. I have looked for other brands and really like all the alternatives. Some have fone a fantastic job of suiting my needs. What I do now is do my research before making a purchase. It has saved me lots of money.

I typically bring 2-3 handguns and my AR I bring 6-8 pistol mags and 6 ar mags all loaded and 200 extra rounds I keep my med kit on the outside of the bag I already own a maxpedition condor II and a typhoon Which do you think would be a good choice? And the negatives? Not enough molle webbing for me...the straps look a little weak on top where they join the bag, also the area that contacts your back, still looks like it doesn't have enough ventilation. The price? Too high for the size, and if you compare it to the new MSM pack at $99 you get less with the Maxpedtion. For the record, this is the first Max product that I have thought was not up to par.

Raymond Madera It's according to how long and far you're hiking. For a half day or less, this or the Typhoon by Maxpedition would be perfect. Not too large but big enough to carry the necessary gear.
