    If I could choose one to own and drive I would go for the UK one, but the Aussie’s level of craftsmanship is astounding. That said, from the first ep the US one was the most eye catching of all three. Had I been there to vote I think I would have voted either UK or AU, but all three are amazing and worthy of respect!

      The black bike is the only one that is rideable every day, or for long miles. The Australian bike had the best craftsmanship. The American won because it was big long and bloated, and that is what Americans who voted want.

      @@craigd1275as an American I would be voting for the UK bike. As incredible as the Australian one was you’d need sunglasses for your sunglasses if any sunlight hit it and the American bike is just hideous

    I'm USA, but sorry, that hand made Australian bike should have won. All great bikes, but people have no idea what it takes to design/cut/shape/shine/fit parts like they did. Not to mention get parts to them. People just gloss over the out of the ordinary types of bikes these days, thanks to bike build shows. No one likes to ride a motorcycle with their hands and feet way forward, trying to steer unless they only have them to show. Aussies, you rock and so do you English with that engine!

      +Alistair Nelson Bush Jr. wasn't elected by honest votes, just like Obummer wasn't. They were just the puppets assigned by the powers that be. Having said that, I agree the Aussie chap is an amazing craftsman. I mean he is a world class metal worker. I think Joe Martin is also quite gifted in metal working. The Arrogant Britwit get's zero praise from me though. There's a reason he's never won in the States, and if he wasn't so fucking arrogant, he might see why and correct it. Clearly that won't happen.

    • @guidorollard2944

      and often, a lot of the real craftsmen are hardly known outside their community, and just do what they love to do back home in their garage or shed, regardless of shows and stuff. Only if someone wants to bring his business into spotlight, thats a reason to do so

    • @WelLRoundeDSquarE
      @WelLRoundeDSquarE 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Guido Rollard I think you're 100% correct. I build some pretty cool shit in my garage/shop, and I do it with very little money, or resources. I always love to see true craftsmen build things, no matter what genre it's in. We are a dying breed. these days if they can't google it to see how everyone else does it, or if a computer can't tell them what to do, they are lost. I'm a machinist by trade, and a damn good one. Kids aren't learning to do things with their minds and hands any more. It's a real shame too.

I agree with Aaack Aardvark here: Murcian and Brit bikes were a lot more bolt-on vs. truly custom bits throughout the bike. Not only that, but the bike that won was by far the least drivable. They barely got that monstrosity running...

    So...the Americans made another same-same bike with no originality or creativity, painted in a boring color, all the while trying to convince themselves they're bad-ass...and only managing to be ass.
    The 'Brit' who is about as much that as the Americans, despite his assurances, made an IKEA bike, assembled out of flat-pack parts.
    And the Aussies made a bike with sweat, mallets and hard work, from absolute scratch...the way it should be done.
    And, of course, the Americans won. Because heaven forfend that they don't, in an American show.

    I’m sorry but when you allow a contest to be judged by a bunch of drunk spectators, your gonna get it wrong.
    Now the Martin bros. bike was an outstanding build NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!!
    But in as much as they built it custom, they still didn’t go through what the Australia team did.
    You see, EVERY SINGLE INCH OF THAT bike was custom cast aluminum polished to the specs of a fine Swiss watch. The contest should be judged by qualified builders that know what they are talking about. NOT by a bunch of easily impressed inebriated Yahoos that are judging them on pretty paint and striping.
    C’mon are you kidding me?? EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE AUSSIE build was built by hand. Did you see how thick the fender material was?? Or how beefy those handlebars were? Everything about that build SCREAMED high quality. The winner and the English bobber were fine bikes for sure and I would feel privileged to own either of them. But my opinion and 45 years experience with custom work says: the Aussie testament CREAMED the other guys and that they won on beauty, technical prowess and all around perfection.
    If they were compared to watches:
    •Martin bike was a SEIKO
    •English bobber an Omega
    •Aussie bike is a ROLEX!!

    There were bits of all 3 that I liked. The American one had that long, low curvy look, but in the end it looked like a tribal tattoo with wheels. The English one had the perfect '50s vibe, and I really liked the extremely clean look and the fact it had 2 fat tires on it, but the only access to the front brake being on that shift lever under your butt was a bit of a bummer, as was the shifter position, and it was an off-the-shelf assembly that really didn't have that chopper look. In the end, the Aussie bike really nailed it. Absolutely blown away by the craftsmanship that went into it and it's hard to argue with the quality of the end result. The fit and finish were next level. They'd have had my vote had I been there.

    • @geraldstephenson2755
      @geraldstephenson2755 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      depends on what style of chopper youre going for. you say the english didnt quite have a chopper feel, but it definitely had that 50s early 60s bobber kinda early chopper style. the other two were that newer style of chopper. in my mind the aussies did the best work all around for sure, that level of craftmanship is just amazing and i respect it, but i just cant get down with that newer style of chopper and will always prefer that older style like the british did. i will agree that the choice to do the front brake like that is a bit dumb though.

    We do not make single seat bikes unless someone actually asks for it....We call single seats Gay bikes....you ride it to the bar and pick up a beautiful woman then she follows you home in her Toyota....does not make sense unless your just into yourself....old time choppers with room for a girl is the only way to go....and they get 200 to 300 miles on a double tank of gas..

    *The Americans most definitely put the most creativity and function all while making the most comfortable to ride bike, except for the fact that it's a hard-tail!!! The Brits (Russell) built (assembled) the same old boring bobber that they ALWAYS do!!! The Aussies actually "built"something for once, and it actually ran!! The Aussies also finally picked someone that's not afraid to put a little hard work into his bike, I actually kinda liked this one!!*

  • @haylspa
    @haylspa ปีที่แล้ว

    the Assie's Bike was Right there with American bike, how they his rear suspension was top notch!! the work put in it was was actual work not just bought, also loved the Front on the US bike also having mostly built in house not bought..! either one of these equally deserved the Win, also why I would never hand the Win over to England is because most parts are ordered not Built by them the Aussie had it right that was more of an assembly not a build, classic look or not.

  • @FlorinNitulescu_1
    @FlorinNitulescu_1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    The british bobber was the BEST. The other too, nice bikes, but waaaay too flashy, they looked like toys. Unfortunately, seems like the American public enjoys super colored, bling bling, awkward looking motorcycles. The truth is, at the end of the day, no one would buy that kind of stuff. They would all go for a NORMAL bike.

    • @KowboyUSA
      @KowboyUSA 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Florin Nitulescu Not really. You're talking Daytona here. The *East Coast* American public likes lots of flash bling. The West Coast American public likes lots of flash bling. The rest of us, the REAL Americans, generally prefer old school over anything. The results in Sturgis, for example, likely would've come out different.

    • @FlorinNitulescu_1
      @FlorinNitulescu_1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John Ratko Oh, ok. I understand. I wasn't trying to sound harsh, but I'm more into motorcycles that look like motorcycles, not like spaceships. But then again, it is my opinion, it shouldn't be everybody else's opinion.

    • @KowboyUSA
      @KowboyUSA 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Florin Nitulescu I agree with you, Florin. A motorcycle should look like a motorcycle. If someone gave me a $50,000 spaceship motorcycle, I'd just tear it down and use the motor, transmission and anything else I could salvage to put into a normal frame to make it a motorcycle.

    • @pkuudsk9927
      @pkuudsk9927 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Florin Nitulescu I have to agree with both of you guys they really aren't ridable bikes.However if the craftmans ship were the deciding factor the AUSIE bike wins hands down Cant hide mistakes when its all polished,also all built in house,not saying opening a catalogue and ordering parts isnt a good way for your average joe to build A bike but this was a build off,not call your supplier and bitch. So on that alone the Ausie's won.

    I remember watching this when it first aired, and thinking the Exile looked timeless, while the other two, as impressive as the work was, instantly looked like 2004. It was obvious then the long swoopy tribal flame stuff would not be around in a few years. Russell Mitchell in 2021 is still building satin black tanks while the other two are now doing completely different things, which I think says it all.

      Timeless doesn't matter because people will always love the stuff from their era. Take the vehicle industry, how sought after all the old mustangs, corvettes, chargers, camaros, old trucks, it's endless all the older vehicles that are going for big money now. So, in time, these older bikes will be just as sought after as collectible time pieces.
