Whenever I watch these Custom Build Contests, I don't care who wins, but I do respect their skills and simply watch how they build the bikes and often grin at the ideas they come up with :)
That long curved springer was awesome. I do not get why he did not see that. I know everyone sees their own style but that curved springer would sell like hotcakes if somebody was to start manufacturing them. I would want one for my 1974 Z1A Amen Saviour chopper. When I built it in 2012 I went with wide glide 6" over Ultima tubes. Next and final will be a springer 8" over. .. Man I LOVED that curved Springer on that American Chopper. Not only the visuals I liked BUT I had never seen that done before.. What an original and another reason for it to be on that chopper. OKay My Opinion ... and I think I am a pretty good judge of Choppermania!
LOVE IT!!! Yanks build is looking like a Paul jnr bike, the aussie bike is totally unique. (very nice) pomms....... what the hell... it's just an old school bike.... All looking good!!
With everything considered l like the Scottys bikes the best.He makes his own forms out of wood and has the smarts to make his own tooling. Matyer of fact all builders kinda blow me away each in their own way.
The problem with these stretched out bikes as built by the Martin Brothers is they have the turning radius of a Mac truck. They are hard to handle except when running straight. I remember building my necked and stretched 1949 Panhead years ago and it looked great, but handling was terrible.
What do you do with it, you ask... Well, you walk by it as you stroll thru the shop, pause momentarily, gaze at it while thinking to yourself.... I am truly thankful I couldn't afford one of these when it was originally built, but hey It's one of a kind!! And that's basically what they had everyone sold on, definitely not performance. Funny thing is I was able to get damn near the same sound and effect out of an old Honda V twin Shadow 500 I was chopping up. I set it down low, raked the front, put shiny chrome strait pipes and kept the rest all ratty like. It looked and sounded mean!....But it was still just a little old Honda Shadow, Unless your scared of SHADOWS...
It was superb especially under those conditions, Russ does a bike I could ride..A hot rod w/ nothing you don't need.I like Joe Martin better building trucks or cars.
I can see that loong legged springer doin the po-go right in the middle of a roll down hill or a sweeping turn as you’re leanin all ya can when ya hit an expansion joint and it goes hop and then bouncy bounce turns to po-go and all ya can do to maintain it untill it calms and your heart climbs back into your chest. Ride hard , ride fast , live true , live long , keep the rubber Down
i watched and loved the Biker Build off series with chopper king etc. a lot were clever art which was voted best by americanos, Russell, Exile Cycles built clean mean roadworthy machines He stuck to his design principles to create the best Bikers Bike. the trike was amazing. the only bikes i would buy and ride (given the cash:) were Russell Exile cycles. re: this episode; the Aussies never let you down. pleasure to watch any Biker Build off again & again
Martin Bro's really fell into that tacky ugly chopper trend of this era and those bikes looks ridiculously bad. Kudos to the Aussies and Brit's for building bikes that still look good today.
The thing I noticed first was that Joe Martin was the only one not trash talking. The Aussies kept saying he was the only one really fabricating, but Joe uses the bag and hammer too.
The one i think is the best bike ever was the SPIRIT BIKE. OMG THE COOLES BIKE EVER. Make you feel like a Indian riding a steel horse! It was a buffalo metal head with horns and Indian chief head dress on down into a chopper COOLEST EVER I SEEN
Ausies and Brits say Americans build the same thing and styles, but the Americans are the only ones actually Building their bikes-not starting from pre-made parts. I love the long rake of the bike. If it feels uncomfortable you're doing something no one has done.
That curved springer looked bad ass idk what they saw wrong with it.. when anyone tells you that you went to far. Thats when your doing something right
Nowadays Joe Martin & his wife Amanda do more cars & trucks dn in Austin.I never cared for that style bike but I love them as car builders. The Aussie team can do more w/ nothing.Beautiful craftsmanship & Russ is a character a little rough around the edges but funny & I like his style w/ fat tire minimalist.
They are really all good looking bikes. But a hand build aluminium hammered body is true, true craftmanship. Not trying to undermine the two other builders. Thing is also with Joe's idea with the bend springer fork. They are NOT safe to ride on a motorcycle. Because with a fork like that, you will have what I call the "fish effect". Where to entire bike flexes like a fish, and not like a regular fork. And it is dangerous. So I'm glad he didn't do it. It would look cool I think, but it'll be seriously dangerous.

Exile, the baddest most under appreciated bikes on earth
I really like Joe's bikes, except for those ridiculously long front ends. Why would anyone think 6' forks are "badass"? Russell is not a fabricator, just an obnoxious assembler. Got to give it to Scotty, he actually fabricates.
The Australian bike wins hands down - it is a work of art. The USA bike gets second, becasue it looks too much off the shelf. The the British bike is a joke - they just order some parts and bolted them together, what a joke...
The day I will build a bike from scratch (I am in the old bike restoration business) , the last inspiration for my dream bike would be a chopper. A scratch build bike in my opinion should be better drivable than the bikes who are used as parts donors for my dream. And clearly outperform the donor bikes in aesthetics.
Sure would love to win that awesome Chopper , built by Paul Senior , and His awesome , hand made bikes. These guys are a one of a kind, they don’t get along to well sometimes, but the patch it up real quick. Love these guys!!!!
I like simple bikes that have a bad attitude. I'm not a fan of flashy paint and big tires and big engines. It just takes some creatitity. I prefer the method of beating metal on a shotbag. Russell's bikes are cool because they don't have flashy paint and a lot of chrome.
the votes should be shown a video on the build befor bidding as then the aussies would have won as he built everything the Americans buy stuff already done
I used to watch this show when it first came out. I remember the Billy Idol looking guy, don't remember the Australians, but I never realized the guy from Iron Resurrection was on here.
I respectfully disagree... the bike should be designed for its intended use. It would be like saying “A Corvette is a cool car, but shouldn’t a car be able to carry 4 passengers and their dog on vacation?” If you want a bike that corners, buy rice. If you want a car to carry your family and some groceries, buy a minivan. If you want style, buy a Vette or a custom bike.
Russel did say something true of almost every bike builder..... all their bikes look the same except for paint. That would include his also.... they all change up from time to time... but not often...
When I lived in Doha Qatar I had two Harley Davidson's, one was a Soft tail Springer and the other one was a Harley Davidson V-Rod, I was working for Maersk Oil Qatar as a Drilling Superintendent
Chop a Springer front end. Dude wow. Springer is long enough without all the stupid radius crap. Crazy look is not always a good look. Sometimes it looks stupid. Case in point
Whenever I watch these Custom Build Contests, I don't care who wins, but I do respect their skills and simply watch how they build the bikes and often grin at the ideas they come up with :)
I really like the Australian Team. They seem like good guys, and they obviously know what they are doing.
That long curved springer was awesome. I do not get why he did not see that. I know everyone sees their own style but that curved springer would sell like hotcakes if somebody was to start manufacturing them. I would want one for my 1974 Z1A Amen Saviour chopper. To me more of a SEAMA bike.A show bike, I could never get comfortable riding that out of the parking lot & I like Joe a lot.
The Australian team really put their hearts to it.
Amazing.
Fabulous work,I like to see them in a big fancy shop.
Good stuff ozzy guy, you built a bike from ground zero. NICE JOB. RESPECT FROM NZ OVER THE DITCH.
Very impressive that the US and the Aussies built their bikes from the ground up
LOVE IT!!!
Yanks build is looking like a Paul jnr bike,
the aussie bike is totally unique. (very nice)
pomms....... what the hell... it's just an old school bike....
All looking good!!

Men's high heels. Sacrificing comfort for style LOL
I personally like the long curved springer. I think it looks great on the bike.
Yeah Russ is a great builder. Let's send everything out to fabricated.
Off the shelf parts? Gimme a break.
Exile makes all their parts dumbass
Lee Lizard Wilcox No they don’t. There’s footage in this video of him outsourcing to a machine shop.
I'm a Brit but that Aussie bike was the most innovative and built to a higher standard than the other two.
It was superb especially under those conditions, Russ does a bike I could ride..A hot rod w/ nothing you don't need.I like Joe Martin better building trucks or cars.
I'm sorry
I can see that loong legged springer doin the po-go right in the middle of a roll down hill or a sweeping turn as you’re leanin all ya can when ya hit an expansion joint and it goes hop and then bouncy bounce turns to po-go and all ya can do to maintain it untill it calms and your heart climbs back into your chest. I saw this more than 10 years ago but my respect for Russell grew. He has a unique style and I love the trike he made.
Russel's bikes are distinct from everybody else's, and are 'definitely cool' I reckon.
i watched and loved the Biker Build off series with chopper king etc.
a lot were clever art which was voted best by americanos,
Russell, Exile Cycles built clean mean roadworthy machines
He stuck to his design principles to create the best Bikers Bike.
the trike was amazing.
the only bikes i would buy and ride (given the cash:)
were Russell Exile cycles.
re: this episode; the Aussies never let you down.
pleasure to watch any Biker Build off again & again
All three of them are bad ass and did a GREAT JOB !! I Don't give a Damn where they were from. we are all Brother's and Sister's
welcome to basic Training. My name is corporal chancace. Please do not move unless told to
Bring this show back!!
norrogh
These bikes are like a Satrianii solo...Way over the top.
This is totally fine engineering as well as artwork. Awesome and inspiring.
scotty is a true builder he dont use off the shelve parts most all of it is hand made and that is the way a true builder should be.
Nuub
I am proud of you, the best Motorcyle I have ever seen. You are amazing man
Tell you what, man, talk’n ‘bout that dang ol’ Boomhauer ‘s out there build’n them dang ol’ bikes, man
Long bikes are very uncomfortable, look badass, but short hops only, for me......
So beautiful~~~~ ^ ^; Amazing
Atrocity, grievous, and heinousness!!!
🦎
Martin Bro's really fell into that tacky ugly chopper trend of this era and those bikes looks ridiculously bad. Kudos to the Aussies and Brit's for building bikes that still look good today.
What are you talking about, the Martin Bros bike looked incredible as well
They're all excellent bikes in their own way done with their bare hands just old-fashioned hard work and it paid off
Radical, wicked, and totally tubular bro..... Gnarly...
The thing I noticed first was that Joe Martin was the only one not trash talking. The Aussies kept saying he was the only one really fabricating, but Joe uses the bag and hammer too.
Scotty Cox's..…. A true bike builder.... The rest are only assemblers.....
What about Roland sands, Indian Larry, Matt hotch, or even the late Jesse rooke (rip)? Scotty Cox can build bikes too but he is far from the best.
the sky is the limit..and practicality. I love choppers 👍
Its not biggie smalls haha
The one i think is the best bike ever was the SPIRIT BIKE. OMG THE COOLES BIKE EVER. Make you feel like a Indian riding a steel horse! It was a buffalo metal head with horns and Indian chief head dress on down into a chopper COOLEST EVER I SEEN
Russell’s bike is the only one still running…..
Ausies and Brits say Americans build the same thing and styles, but the Americans are the only ones actually Building their bikes-not starting from pre-made parts. I love the long rake of the bike. If it feels uncomfortable you're doing something no one has done.
What did the man from Australia start with? Haha
Literally wood, not even sheet metal. That guy has serious talent. Lol
That curved springer looked bad ass idk what they saw wrong with it.. when anyone tells you that you went to far. Thats when your doing something right
Russell out here looking like a character from Derek Zoolander talking about "they don't look tough, they don't look manly"
I like see they build it from scratch just a pipe and bend it into a frame
Maybe the Aussies should put some of that sheet metal on the roof? Mate 🤔
The ads have pretty much destroyed this video, the way Google destroys everything else.
J R Deckard Why do you think anything is free? Do you work for free?
Install adblock plus and they will go away.
Can just hear the narrator holding back from screeching freeeeeeedom whenever the Aussies make a joke
Saya g faham apa yg d omongin, tpi saya suka karyanyaa... Kerrenn

Yeah, Something you can actually ride 350 miles a day, in Southern California...
The owner is so “tough.”
The tig master. Love those aussies.
Build Air Conditioning in to a motorbike. Now that would be cool!
If you get too hot on a motorcycle, go faster
Scotty’s mate is on the gear for sure
I love sick CHOPPERS. . Hahaha. Thanks.
Looks like something that got dropped off the Empire State Building!
I really like Joe's bikes, except for those ridiculously long front ends. Why would anyone think 6' forks are "badass"? Russell is not a fabricator, just an obnoxious assembler. Got to give it to Scotty, he actually fabricates.
Russ is like an interior decorater. The Aussie have more pure skill.
Scotty should won ...building parts from scratch that is what you call bike building like the old days
I wish they would have biker builds again on tv
Ah. Okay. The English guy isn't a builder. He's a parts assembler. Neat.
I follow indian larrys way of building I want to see all the linkages and the mechanics the nuts and bolts and all the gizmos .
I thought the sagger front end was best . I remember the broadcast , he decided the world wasnt ready for it. Man, i loved it.
Triumph had oil in the frame back in the seventies although it was not in the front tube.
traffic czar Interesting.
The Australian bike wins hands down - it is a work of art. The USA bike gets second, becasue it looks too much off the shelf. The the British bike is a joke - they just order some parts and bolted them together, what a joke...
The Man from Epsilon Crucis the British bike is their own parts. But I agree. They’re all off the shelf
The Australians built a vrod lookalike
fat and furious it was in 2005 though so
@@bonniecox7749 the vrod came out in 2001, maybe 2002
Russ could've built something that was more tricked out -- he went too minimalist on this one. He's done some cool stuff in the past tho.
All 3 are amazing. But did the ausies built a v-rod?
All of you, all around the world, great job. Unite and keep on riding ✊
Paul Senior I like you my name is Valentina I'm 7 years old😀😀
The Australians was the only one oldschool handmade. They're my winners.
AnthraX VapoR Well, the frame was, anyway.
I still love the American bike. Want one
It was good to see Bradley. I miss him.
A 🇺🇸 on the scoop. All allies flag on rest of 🚗. Charity for military
Sure would love to win that awesome Chopper , built by Paul Senior , and His awesome , hand made bikes. These guys are a one of a kind, they don’t get along to well sometimes, but the patch it up real quick. Love these guys!!!!

Aussie never heard of Jesse James.
Check out Les Covington's " Heart of Gold" 1949 build
rock music and bikes, it just can't go wrong 🤘
Unless the narrator calls the rhythm guitar bass lmao
Indian Larry would own em all
Aussie made his bike from scratch, the rest just assemble thiers. He wins by default...
aussie didn't build his own frame.
yeah but the aussie bike looked like a 12yo boy designed it
wouldn't be seen dead on it
Joe built the frame from scratch...
Gareth Jones
American Made is the only Way. Screw the rest of them !!
Silk Boxing Black is a hard color to paint so I doubt it
I think the excile bikes are still cutting edge because they're not just a fad.
@32:10 dog waking up in reverse, film editors are a weird mob

Walz - Hardcore choppers 💯
I used to watch this show when it first came out. I remember the Billy Idol looking guy, don't remember the Australians, but I never realized the guy from Iron Resurrection was on here.
Had a set of Joe Martin wheels on my truck... Man I miss that truck...
They're kind of cool, but what happens on roads that have corners? Maybe I'm biased, but shouldn't a motorcycle be able to handle twisty roads?
I respectfully disagree... the bike should be designed for its intended use. It would be like saying “A Corvette is a cool car, but shouldn’t a car be able to carry 4 passengers and their dog on vacation?” If you want a bike that corners, buy rice. If you want a car to carry your family and some groceries, buy a minivan. If you want style, buy a Vette or a custom bike.
Exile choppers old school bike would handle it fine. His bikes perform amzing.
You guys are dope 💪🏼👍🏼
Russel did say something true of almost every bike builder..... all their bikes look the same except for paint. That would include his also.... they all change up from time to time... but not often...
Sweet, later Scotty says the same thing.
Russell my favorite look.but the Aussie craftsmanship fucking impressive
I like the Australian team
When I lived in Doha Qatar I had two Harley Davidson's, one was a Soft tail Springer and the other one was a Harley Davidson V-Rod, I was working for Maersk Oil Qatar as a Drilling Superintendent
I spent a week in Doha when I was active duty. Cool place.
I almost worked for those guys to. Long time ago. Do you know Jesper?
the aussie team is amazing... they absollutely kicked some ass
Tremendous ingenieria.
I liked Indian Larry!!!!
The smoothness of that aussie tank is just heinous, I fucking love it
Those tatoos say those Guys are Tough. Imagine all that Physical Pain😭😭😭😭😭
Russell's Bike looks like a SCHWINN BICYCLE with a Motor but the SCHWINN has more CLASS..... Russell's has Class to Bad it's 3rd CLASS...
An Aussie mullet and a shorts that almost hangs his balls to the floor is the winner for me.
A bike that has gas tanks that open up on hinges. Exhaust shaped like a 98 design. All carbon fiber
"greatest bike builder in the world" lol
They are mad motherfuckers
Only person to build their own stuff? Ugh Jesse? And he worked in steel. Then stainless. Try those fab skills on.
Chop a Springer front end. Dude wow. Springer is long enough without all the stupid radius crap. Crazy look is not always a good look. Sometimes it looks stupid. Case in point
I didn't know Billy Idol built choppers.
+jimmie meadows Yeah He built the first Honda Rebel Yell bike.....more more more....
looks more like eminem than Billy Idol LMAO!!!
Didn't know Kevin James did either.
Hes also an American citizen living in Florida last i heard.
He assembles them at least.
Exile still to this day have the most recognizable style, not to mention i'll bet the most miles ridden bikes built
I like how the Ozzy's just bash everything to fit
Vendetta Aussies
