Thank you for posting this! Saved me a ton of headache trying to ship my CT48. Festool should consider only requiring the top portion of the dust collector when sending in for a repair. The bottom portion of the machine is not all that important mechanically speaking. When there's an obvious electrical issue, they should only need the top half of the dust collector. This was an easy repair to do on my own with the help of this video!

My CTL26 has stopped working and is over 5 yrs old. I will have a look at the brushes too now I have seen this video. Many thanks for sharing.

U are meant to take the fancase off then it is easier to change them
Black plastic? You need to lift that black plastic to remove the brush.
